Had an incredible experience at check-in while at the Bluenose Inn. Staff was very helpful and courteous. I was very disheartened when I arrived at my room. It was old and very out of date for the price I paid. Wasn't expecting things like an old rubber shower mat to be rolled up by the tub with a rubber band... More

My husband booked this room before we read the previous reviews and were a little worried about what to expect. We were plesantly surprised! The room was the largest we've ever stayed in with 2 queen sized beds in the main room and another queen size bed in an separate room (Hillcrest Room 62). Both rooms had amazing views and... More

Hi Seslavie, Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We truly value your comments on our brand new beds, the overall cleanliness and our in room amenities. We are making steps toward updating most aspects of our rooms and certainly appreciate you noticing! Our proximity to Acadia National Park and down town Bar Harbor is great and... More

Ideal for short stay , as part of our fly-drive . wonderful view , very nice town within walking distance , but beware uphill on the way back if you're right at the top as we were . Had a problem with toilet not flushing but was sorted by the staff within half an hour , so everything was fine... More

As many others have noticed, this is an older hotel. We knew that going in. I was just hoping to not encounter any of the noise problems, or bad odors. I'm happiy to report that the room was very clean, and quiet. We were in the first building on the driveway (Livingston House). It was basic and adequate, could not... More

Stayed for 2 nights as part of a New England fly drive holiday (so unsure of cost as part of a package tour). We were given a very large room near the restaurant up the hill. OK the rooms are probably a bit old, but we had a seating area , sofa & table , large balcony with great views... More

Approached this hotel with trepidation having read recent reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. Greeted warmly in reception and given lots of ideas for eating places in Bar Harbor. Rooms a little dated but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The biggest TV I have ever seen! Added bonus of a very talented pianist ,Mr Trowell who provided top class entertainment in... More

Although the trip was last minute with 3 dogs, Wonder View verified over the phone they had space and pets were a non issue. Checked in next door at the Blue Nose Inn which they don't tell you before arrival. The property is an old school motel. I would equate it to an old road side motel in appearance and... More

Hello Bwindfw, I'd first like to thank you for offering your comments. We certainly welcome all feedback as that is how we determine what we can improve upon. I apologize that you weren't told when booking that at certain times of the year our check in/out is handled at the Bluenose Inn just next door. We only do that for... More

We stayed 2 nights and were grateful for a room because we did not have a reservation in Bar Harbor. On check-in, the clerk offered us a deluxe room (at a higher price), and we said yes to that. The room was small, and I wouldn't say that there was anything deluxe about it. The bathroom was clean, but small.... More

We were very pleased with our stay at Wonderview. It was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed, was in a great location, great price and yes the Wonderview! I traveled there with my mom and aunt for a long weekend. As long as we have a clean room with decent beds we are happy travelers so we go for budget... More

ElizabethBH01 Thank you very much for your wonderful review! We certainly appreciate all of the extra details you included in your comments for other readers. Bar Harbor truly has such a rich and interesting history and it is wonderful that the... More

There is nothing "wonderous" about this "inn?" The staff were untrained, disrespectful and rude. I could have forgiven the rude young woman who "checked us in" if not for staying on a personal call for over 30 minutes while we waited to check in. It wasn't until a loud couple came in screaming for her attention did she put down... More

While I understand that there were indeed issues during your stay, i will not tolerate you personally degrading my staff and in particular the Guest Services Manager. Read the reviews, yes we are an older property but we are in a major renovation program that does take time and your comments are the only ones attacking the staff. Obviously the... More
