Imagine yourself in a bubble of calm and comfort, cares beyond ken. Then, my friends, escape the dream and land in the reality of a sanctuary of absolute delight right in the middle of, but tucked away from, all the bustle that is Bar Harbor. Choose when to be involved and when to escape practically in the blink of an...

My boyfriend and I got last-minute reservations at Bass Cottage Inn for Memorial Day weekend 2010 and were very impressed. The inn is modern and beautiful, and it is not hard at all to imagine yourself the private guest of a very rich Bar Harborite. Everything has been thought of -- from the gourmet afternoon treats to the large DVD...

Our stay at the Bass Cottage Inn was luxurious in every way. The spacious and elegantly-decorated common rooms gave us plenty of space to relax, read by the fire, and enjoy a drink after a day of hiking. Our room was beautiful and our bed was heavenly! Not to mention the breakfast... locally sourced foods, prepared by their own in-house...

I can't say enough about how WONDERFUL the Bass Cottage Inn was! It was the first time my husband and I had ever been to the northeast coast, and we enjoyed it more than we could have ever hoped or imagined! The B&B was a HUGE part of why we loved our stay...the Innkeepers were extremely hospitable, the food was...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bass Cottage Inn last fall and the experience was incredible. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts, but we both agreed that this was one of the best. The common areas cannot be matched; we found ourselves lounging in front of the fire reading books, and snacking on the delicious treats that...

A really excellent B&B with a fine attention to detail. One of the best places we have ever stayed. The building was very atmospheric, the staff friendly and attentive and the food wonderful. It was also a great location, right in the centre of town, but also out of the way.. We really felt at home here, and would jump...
