Thank you for the excellent hospitality, warm and friendly helpful chatter, and for being a gracious host for our one-night getaway for the Sky Festival! The coffee is warm and rich, our rooms clean and welcoming, and most of all: the walkability to everything in town is a triple win to top off our stay. We can't wait to come... More

We stayed 2 nights at Acacia House Inn. It is very convenient to the town and restaurants. Park your car and walk to everything. Rooms were small but very pleasant. Breakfast is the highlight here. Nothing to say but . . Delicious! The owner is very friendly and provides assistance to any questions you have about Bar Harbor and the... More

This review has been a long time coming! Just haven't found the time, but I have it now! My boyfriend & I stayed at the Acacia House in June of 2015, on our annual trip to Acadia/Bar Harbor! Anna was an AMAZING host. My boyfriend has an extreme dairy allergy & she accommodated him with no issue. She made sure... More

Stayed for 2 nights and wished we had booked more. Quaint 3 story home right in downtown Bar Harbor. Walked to everything. Clean room, friendly owners and staff with unbelievable breakfasts. Enjoy anything from Oatmeal, or omelets to 3 different kinds of pancakes. Apple and cheddar were my favorite. Afternoon and evening pastries or cookies with coffee or tea a... More

I'm really glad I found this place! A comfortable, contemporary styled B&B that is reasonably priced. The food is a highlight. Tea, cookies and lemonade every afternoon. Made to order breakfast along with homemade granola and blueberry muffins in the morning. Everything was delicious. Acacia is close to everything. It is approximately a 3 block walk to the shops and... More

We loved staying here. It was close to the main part of Bar Harbor, but on a quiet, lovely street. Our room was comfortable (room 3) and had a little balcony that was a nice addition. The bathroom was huge and comfortable. I told the proprietors I have a gluten and dairy intolerance and every day they had gluten and... More

This is our 5th year here. Ralph and Anna are great. We like the inn because the rooms are clean, comfortable and unfussy, and the breakfasts and snacks are great!!! They use high quality local fresh ingredients and make delicious breakfasts. The food is not fussy like some inns - just fresh, tasty meals you look forward to. Pancakes with... More

I found out about the Acacia House Inn via the College of the Atlantic visitors' information page, and it was the BEST discovery of our whole trip! Bar none. First, Ralph & Anna are the nicest people & the best hosts! Ralph spent many an afternoon giving us tips for our visit or trading stories. We learned a lot from... More

My husband and I spent 4 nights here recently. Ralph and Anna are wonderful hosts. The breakfast each morning was delicious with many options. The location is great. Easy to walk to everything in town but located on a nice quiet one way street.

You have read about Ralph and Anna and their hospitality in other reviews by now. The words are inadequate to describe the atmosphere of this inn. This is a repeat review from me, as we go there whenever we get to Bar Harbor. The town is crowded and touristy, but the hiking in nearby Dorr Mountain is the best. Anna... More
