Was very happy with the place. Very clean, staff very pleasant. Very close to everything. Had everything there that you needed. Breakfast in the morning wasn’t bad. I really loved the room we had. Had a deck to sit out on. Walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor.

We needed a room with 3 beds, which was difficult to find in Bar Harbor. We settled on two rooms, which ended up being 2 doors apart. One room had a king bed and the other had two queens. The hotel is a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable. There was no housekeeping, but we were able to put our dirty towels and trash outside and complete a hang tag to request replacement items. We had no problem getting the requested supplies. The complimentary breakfast was a bit disappointing, but it was complimentary. The location was a short and enjoyable walk from downtown and a short drive to Acadia. There was ample free parking.

I wouldn’t stay here again. I chose it because it was cheaper than other hotels in the area (but still expensive for what it was) and well located. Next time I will spend more for a more unique property with housekeeping and better service. Pros - check in was easy; good location 10 minutes walking to the town square, shops and restaurants; free parking; beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large. There are lots of lamps. Cons - the AC was loud and rattled. Wifi was slow and had to be reconnected every few minutes. They don’t have housekeeping which didn’t seem to be related to COVID, it seemed like a permanent change. They ask you to put a list outside of what you need like shampoo or towels, but the people who are supposed to refresh those items never came during our stay. We had to ask the front desk every time. Breakfast is decent but their breakfast area is closed (not sure why, maybe staffing?) so we had to take the breakfast items back to the room, generating more trash that we had to leave outside the door. They accidentally charged a $2000 deposit to my room and at check out took a while to straighten it out. I know what to expect from a Quality Inn but for the price of this one will definitely go elsewhere next time.

Inspect your room first if you have the option. Our first room was 205 and in smelled musty and like mold. There was no pictures or mirror on the wall. The bed and coach was old and in need of replacement. Whole room needs to be revamped. We went to the front desk and explained my allergies to must and mold. After inspection, the manager gave us room 111. This is a handicapped room that was recently remodeled. It smelled great and had all newer furnishings. No bathtub but shower was new and clean. Staff is very nice. At this time of the year it is hard to find a place to stay in Bar Harbor so we took our chances and was able to trade up to better room, but we were lucky. Our rating would have been a 1 if we had to stay in 205.

Our party had two rooms...123 and 124. My room had a very musty/mildew smell, but I didn't notice the same in the other one. Internet was horrible...could not keep a connection and loading pictures, website info, etc was difficult if not impossible. Pros: Good location for walks into town...about 10-15 min. Quite quiet, rarely heard noise from neighbors or traffic rates better than many other hotels in area (but still high for what you get) close to Acadia cons: Rooms (at least our rooms) need updating no longer serve breakfast across street, selection was extremely limited and no place to sit internet is almost useless at present time (supposedly due to Covid, but I suspect staff shortages) no housekeeping...you leave checklist of what you need and they leave it outside. I would look for other options on a return visit.
