Lodging in Bar Harbor in peak season is ridiculous. My wife and I usually stay in nice hotels that are reasonably priced. Not available in Bar Harbor. So to be able to vacation in Bar Harbor and lodge at a reasonable price, we stayed at the Quality Inn based on price and reviews. Good: good location, friendly help, spotlessly clean,... More

Biggest plus point: you are close to Arcadia NP entrances. That is likely the reason why you pay more (~210$/night mid August) that in a usual Quality Inn Motel. Good for people that like to stay in a calmer area. Disadvantage is thus that you will need to walk 15min to get to city center Bar Harbor where the pubs... More

We enjoyed our stay @ Quality Inn except for the fact that the room was small... we loved the location though. It was in Birch Hill area and there were not too many stairs to climb. The personnel everywhere were congenial... Elizabeth in the breakfast area and Nickesha in housekeeping, to name a couple. The breakfast was plentiful. We were... More

I stayed there with a group of ten family members last month. The room was clean, included a mini-fridge, microwave and kuerig like coffee maker. The staff throughout the hotel was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast buffet had just about everything you could ask for - eggs, meat, fresh fruit, waffle maker, breads, pastries, yogurt, juice and plenty of... More

Very nice hotel. Bathroom was a bit dated. The location was good, the staff was wonderful, friendly, pleasant and full of info. Room was clean. The beds were heavenly. I give this Quality Inn an 8 out 10. I would stay here again.

Great location-within walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor and waterfront. The hotel is located at a busy intersection and trucks and motorcycles can be heard (over fan and air conditioner) at 6:00 am if you're a light sleeper like me. I would recommend asking for a room in the back as far from the intersection. Our room was on the... More

Our room was certainly not fancy, but one of the cleanest stays we had. By Bar Harbor standards the room is extremely affordable. Our family of four was pretty comfortable here. Breakfast was way over crowded, but we stayed here in their peak-week in August so it's not too surprising. Breakfast was adequate, and parts were actually quite tasty. Staff... More

Thank you for your time to review your stay with us. Our season is so busy and July and August are the peak. We are as you say a great Home Quarters for the downtown and the park so close to all the entrances. Sincerely Jeannine Brooks General Manager More

My family enjoyed a wonderful week at this hotel while in town to experience Acadia National Park earlier this month. The location was perfect, right on the corner of Route 3 and Mt Desert Street, adjacent to the village of Bar Harbor but before the downtown congestion. It's an older property, with a two-story motor lodge comprising the main building... More

Wow! What a wonderful review, we truly appreciate your full detail about your stay. As you stated we are near the town but just far enough to be a nice quiet area at night. Our Birch Hill area where you stayed is usually requested by our yearly returning guest. So glad to hear you were able to sleep well and... More

We stayed in what I assume was an older part of the property farthest from the office. The room was shabby but clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a pervasive smell of mold or mildew in the room. A bag of some type meant to deal with this was hanging in the closet, but it didn't help. After... More

I recently took my first trip to Acadia National Park with some friends and booked this hotel because it seemed like a good bargain and was in the general area we wanted to stay in. We were extremely happy with our choice. It's a Quality Inn, so it's chain-like demeanor doesn't hold a candle to some of the lovely B&B's... More
