My boyfriend and I finished up our tour of New England vacation in Bar Harbor and were so delighted by our stay at Emery's. The cottages were super clean and windows were open upon arrival - during this scary covid time, knowing that fresh air had been flowing through all day was super comforting!) The cottages are simple and comfortable - we stayed in a unit without a kitchen/kitchenette, but their was a little fridge perfect for keeping leftovers and the local Maine beer we picked up. The location is wonderful! Quiet and right on the water, and only a quick ride into downtown Bar Harbor. When we arrived it was raining, but that didn't stop us from a relaxing little evening feasting on take-out lobsters on the cute little front porch, listening to the peaceful rain. And then the next evening we were treated to a gorgeous sunset! Chris in the front office was so helpful with kayak tips for ventures right from their beach. I'm a kayak guide back in NY and was impressed by the quality of their rental boats. Really pleasant stay - would definitely stay here again!

Emery's cottages were perfect. The pictures and cottage were exactly what they said the were, exceptionally clean and adorable. The cottages were located 5 miles from Bar Harbor which was perfect. I recommend staying in 1a it is the closest to water, if you don't need to have a kitchen. Very private. highly reccomend.

The cottages are older, plain Jane, nothing fancy by any means but very clean and sufficient. We were there at a time when there wasn’t much availability anywhere and the price was fair. The cottages face the water and you can walk down to the waterfront and watch the sunrise. There are laundry facilities available , as well as a separate little kitchen area that is available to use for those in cottages with no kitchen. It was very peaceful and quiet there even though all cottages were rented. Rental(online), check in and check out ( in person)was super simple and pleasant. I got one of my favorite pics of the whole trip there. The sun was rising and there was a wild apple on the edge of property...

We stay here every year (six years in a row now). Nice location away from the traffic of downtown Bar Harbor, but close enough if we want to visit restaurants or shops. There is a sizable group of people who stay the same week every year, and it is fun to see them again. We have already reserved for next year. This is a place made for relaxing. We sit out by Frenchman's Bay and read, and use Emery's as a base for touring the park. The cabins are well kept and simple. Bedroom/bathroom, a small TV and fridge. Some cabins have a kitchenette, but their is a communal kitchen if you need to use a microwave or stove.

New owners are on a learning curve so I offer some suggestions. Please put some milk out with the fresh coffee, Coffeemate powder is low class. The sheets were too old, rough and didn’t fit. Don’t run the lawnmower when people are checking in! Make sure things are working in the cottage! Wally I miss you, I think you decided to sell when Bar Harbor went to all paid parking. Good move!
