We stayed 3 nights during our New England road trip primarily for visiting Acadia National Park. The hotel has a great location being just a few minutes drive from the national park and surrounded by the restaurants and bars of Bar Horbor whilst still feeling quiet and cosy. The welcome at reception was warm and they were happy to spend time talking through things to do. The room was on the upper floor (no lifts) and was an adequate size but not huge. Bathroom was a little tired but everything was clean and well kept. Wi-fi worked well in the room but there was no personal safe. The included breakfast was ok. The choice was not particularly extensive and somewhat oddly you had to queue up and be served certain items from behind the counter. You definitely won't need your HP sauce here unless you like it in porridge or on doughnuts! If you're looking for a place to stay in Bar Harbor for a couple of days you could probably do a lot worse than this friendly little place.…

The manager went over the top in accommodating our bus tour. He modified the breakfast schedule, gave us access to the hospitality room with longer hours, was great with suggestions for the area. He was so personable and excited to share his knowledge of the area! The location was so convenient I think passers by were envious.

My best friends and I stayed here for two nights. We loved it! Everything was clean and inviting. The staff was exceptional! The grounds were decorated very nicely with a fall theme. The little breakfast house was perfect. We had great parking and the location could not of been better ! I can’t wait to go back!

Have stayed at The Bar Harbor Villager several times and will again. Location is directly downtown easy walking to restaurants, shopping, Islander Explorer Bus, everything you could need. Staff is top notch pleasant, professional & very helpful. Room are clean, beds are very good. Highly recommend

Very clean and comfortable…within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the harbor. The complimentary breakfast had a variety of tasty options including warm blueberry muffins. Staff was great and quite helpful to us as first time visitors to Bar Harbor. We would go back again!

Perfect location for walking to everything in Bar Harbor downtown. Super convenient parking. Rooms in main building - basic - but newly renovated + extremely clean. Friendly staff. Definitely felt very welcome at the property.

I was thoroughly impressed with our stay at The Bar Harbor Villager. The rooms were immaculately clean, the bathroom felt nearly brand new, the front staff were kind and helpful. The location was perfect with extremely easy access to Acadia and walkable to everything Bar Harbor. It is a step removed from "downtown" even though it's still in the heart of downtown which made it nice and quiet. I never heard a word, thump or bump from the neighboring rooms. The bed was comfortable, there were vary degrees of firmness of pillows stored right in the room. There were 2 full sets of extra towels in the room which is great! I loved the option to pick housekeeping, needing refills on certain things in the room or no entry to the room. Everything seems so perfectly thought out and planned to prioritize the comfort and convenience of the guests! Very impressed, worth every penny I paid and will definitely be back! …

Bar Harbor Villager is perfectly located right in the centre making it ideal for exploring the town. There was a surprise daily complimentary grab & go breakfast which was very welcome. We were notified ahead of normal check-in time that our room was ready meaning we could enjoy more time in Bar Harbor where parking could be a challenge at busy times. The room was exactly as shown in photographs, spotlessly clean with a lovely bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries. Morgan on front desk couldn’t have been more helpful even printing our Acadia Park passes.

Only rated as a 2* motel but was a great stay during our 2 week tour. The room was large with 2 queen beds. Everything was clean and everything worked correctly. The welcome at checkin felt real and not just some script memorized for delivery to every guest. Location was very good for getting something to eat in the evening and no problem with parking. At the time of booking there was no breakfast listed but on arrival we found that a free breakfast was available. This was basic but still more than we were expecting. Our room was very close to the main road but did not suffer with any noise during our stay. Cost was higher than the other 2 star motel we used, but our stay was over the weekend in fall and everywhere appeared to be fully booked. So glad we pre booked and understood the extra cost. An amazing couple days in Bar Harbor. Loved it all. The food, shopping and Acadia National Park was amazing. Fall is the perfect time to visit! Celebrated my birthday all over Maine for a week! Bar Harbor was gorgeous!
