I would def stay here again. Staff was very informative and helpful. The place had plenty of parking and was conveniently located. Just a few times we didnt get what we ordered from breakfast, but overall excellent stay.

Centrally located this motel adhered every way to State mandates for Covid-19 opening. Rally friendly staff! Breakfast became a bag of prewrapped treats we had selected the night before Chobani, yogurt, fresh fruit, breakfast bars--very clever way to avoid group breakfast bar. Staff was smiling, courteous and attentive. Traveling with my two millennial children who are picky, I was so pleased I'd chosen the Villager. Beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was modern and super clean. We plan to go back in the Fall. We live in Maine. We wish Villager were a chain!

Room Tip: Covid-19 = not crowded/noisy. Our room was next to what is usually the ice maker hall, but that...

We got what we expected! This motel was perfectly located to zip around to shops and restaurants. It was clean, quiet and felt recently renovated. (We are light sleepers so I asked for a quiet room. We were put into room 110 which was under the stairs so I was worried, but it was completely quiet!) The pool was great fun for the kids after a day of hiking and sightseeing. The beds were a little small for our taste but we knew they were doubles when we signed on to this package.

We stayed for 5 days. The room was located on the first floor under the staircase, so it was very dark practically all the time. We asked to change the room, but the receptionist refused to do this. Five days in darkness is not much fun!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate guest reviews and use them as a tool to make adjustments where necessary so we may continue to provide guests with the best service we can. I can certainly understand how the situation regarding your room location could cause frustration. I do apologize that we were unable to relocate you to a different room on such short notice. Operating during COVID has presented it challenges, but we are taking them on one by one in a manner that we feel best protects guests and our Team. One of the many precautions we are taking at the Villager due to COVID is keeping all rooms vacant for 24-hours after each guest departure, essentially keeping the property at 50% occupancy at all times. This safety precaution certainly does come with it's downfalls, and does limit our ability to change guest room locations, especially during a time when we are 'sold out to our current capacity.' We always encourage guests to make reservations with as much advance notice as possible and note any requests that they may have prior to arrival so we can plan accordingly. While your stay with us was so-so, we hope that you did enjoy your time in Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park. Please reach out to me if you have any further suggestions on how to ensure future guests have a more positive experience. My personal email is rebeccah.geib@barharborvillager.com Stay safe and be well, Rebeccah General Manager
