Detailed Reviews
My husband & I stayed for 3 nights with out 2 young boys (4 & 2) and we are so glad that we did. The room was very clean and spacious. (only strange the was the bathroom light was on the outside of the bathroom) They provided Bath & Body Works shampoo, conditioner, body wash which was such a nice treat. It smelled amazing. The staff was very helpful & knowledgeable when I asked questions about Bar Harbor & Mount Desert Island. The location was perfect as we were able to walk to pretty much everything without having to find & pay for a parking spot. Due to covid the breakfast room was closed but they delivered it to our room each morning. We will definitely stay here again on our future trips.

This motel was exactly what we needed -- an impeccably maintained room for four people at a hotel on the main street in Bar Harbor with all the stores and restaurants right outside the door, with a heated outdoor pool for the kids and breakfast too, all at a very reasonable price for the high season at Acadia NP. Not a lot of frills, but we were there for Acadia, not frills. Morgan at the front desk was a great help!

This was the best hotel in the area. Great price and the best location. The rooms were very modern and clean and the breakfast was delivered every morning after submitting what you wanted the night prior. Plenty of parking was available. I could seriously not ask for a better stay. Highly recommend if you’re visiting bar harbor.

What a wonderful review to read! Our staff has worked diligently to ensure that guests and their fellow team members are safe while still having a great season. With COVID adding some uniqueness to this season, we were excited to rise to the challenge and incorporate new ways of ensuring our guests still enjoy the comforts of vacationing in Bar Harbor. We hope to welcome you back another season!

We felt very safe and comfortable during our six night stay. The complimentary breakfast was handled in an efficient and contactless manner with prepackaged items. The few employees that we dealt with(front desk and handyman), were more than helpful and provided a sense of normalcy to this time of anything but normal. We stay here not only for these reasons but also it's closeness to downtown and short rides to the National Park. We are definitely going back.

We have a very good experience here. The room was very clean when we arrived. They had a very interesting way for you to ask for your room to be cleaning through door hangers. One hanger was for the room to be completely cleaned. On the other hanger, you could mark just the items that you needed. The used items (towels, trash) were set outside the door in the morning, and fresh clean items were left outside your door in a sealed back in the afternoon. It worked really well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I needed a document printed and they were more than happy to print it for me. All I needed to do was email it to the office. They don’t have a space for guests to use a computer and printer. The only odd thing that we’ve found in this and other hotels in Bar Harbor is they don’t have microwaves in the room. They have everything else including refrigerators but no microwaves. I don’t know if this is some kind of agreement with the city to strongly encourage guests to go out to local restaurants or what, but it would be very convenient to add this amenity. Overall, it was a great stay. We would stay again and recommend it to others.

Thank you for this thoughtful review! We do have a microwave in the kitchen which is open until about 9pm for all guests to use but I will see if we can get some extra microwaves for the rooms on request. Thanks again!

We are staying here for one night while visiting Acadia National Park and this little motel is the best we’ve experienced in quite some time. The location is right on Main Street in Bar Harbor which makes it walkable to everything in the area. J.C. Greeted us at the front desk and was very friendly and informative. He gave us information about the area and recommended places to eat. The room is very clean and spacious. We would highly recommend this Motel if you are staying in Bar Harbor and we will definitely stay here the next time we are in the area.

We stayed at the older annex at this “motel” (really, it deserves to be called a hotel). They had pretty flowers everywhere and it was beautiful. For 2 people, the Annex room was simple but quite lovely, and we have stayed in some fancy hotels. I think for 3 people, or if you are bigger or taller than average, then maybe go for the newer main building rooms which are more spacious. I believe the newer rooms in the main section have small tables inside so you could bring your snacks or breakfast into your room and eat there. Our annex room didn’t have space for a table inside. There’s just the beds and 2 comfy big chairs. There was a small table and 2 chairs directly outside each annex room but I don’t think people used those much as they didn’t have privacy and faced the parking. The annex is also a bit further down the street from everything. Having said that, the annex is cheaper and the rooms are clean, bright and cheerful. I have never stayed in a motel before and was a little concerned, but this place exceeded all expectations. The shower is v small but again, clean and the water pressure was great. The good thing about the annex is that there’s no second floor, so you won’t be bothered by any loud banging from upstairs! It was also easy to find parking as it was tucked away from the main road. The location of the hotel is great, just across from Peaky Toes restaurant (which sells great seafood including lobster & oysters), the staff are kind and the free drinks (water, tea, juices) all day in the breakfast room was such a wonderful, thoughtful gesture. We appreciated it so much. We would definitely return but next time we will try out the main building, even tho the Annex was just fine. A gem in Bar Harbour for the price.

So glad you enjoyed your stay in our annex - they are often the most requested rooms by budget travelers! Yes next time book in the main building and you have a bit more space and you will enjoy the chairs outside the room on the ground floor or on the deck on the second floor!

The rooms were clean, sanitized, and were updated. The bed was very comfortable as well. There was a bag of goodies left for us as well when we first walked into the room which was a nice welcome! All the employees seemed kind and were helpful. There’s no maid service right now but they made it easy to get more things we might need. The location is also perfect and walking distance to everything in the little town. My only complaint is that the morning we were checking out, we wanted to sleep until 9-9:15ish (checkout is at 10) because we had a 12 hour drive back home ahead of us. A little before 8am, a maid unlocked our door and walked in while we were still in there asleep, she quickly apologized and closed the door. I try to go back to sleep after being so startled but then at 8:30 the front desk calls the hotel rooms phone, and wakes us up again. I was super upset by all of this because our sleeping in plans were ruined and I was exhausted. We had extended a night, they must not have updated it in the computer or something because the maid and person working the front desk that morning had no idea we were still there even though I watched the employee fix our check out date when we extended it. There was also no apology from the front desk as we checked out for inconveniencing us. Otherwise, we enjoyed our trip to Bar Harbor and will definitely be back.

This is a great place to stay in downtown Bar Harbor. Everything is within walking distance from the Motel which is very convenient. The staff truly makes every effort to insure that your stay is comfortable and that all of your needs are met. It is a great stay for the price as well as most other properties are more expensive. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a good deal and a nice room.

I didn't see any microwaves in our room.
