I've been an owner since 1981, so I may be biased. I love this side of O'ahu. The Leeward coast is very important to me. It has the largest population of Hawaiians, and other Pacific Islanders, that any other area of our Aloha State. Many visitors may not prefer the simple life that exists there. It is a long way... You enter the room from the parking lot side and the first thing you see and hear is the Pacific Ocean with a spacious beach all to yourself. Room 302 owned Don and Pat Maxwell. North of here there is more beatiful scenery and a surfing beach. We got a lot of our Hawaiian experience right here.

We avoid Oahu because of the noise and crowds of Waikiki but really wanted to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center and USS Missouri on this trip. So glad we found this peaceful hidden spot with its spectacular beach and sunsets. It is definitely off the tourist path and the rooms are not fancy but clean, the staff is helpful and... More

We rented condo #404 through Airbnb. This condo is called Hawaiian Princess Resort, but this is NOT a resort, not in the sense of a lavish hotel area with restaurants and multiple pools and lavish grounds. From the pictures this place looked amazing. The unit itself looked like it wasn't renovated but I was ok with that as long as... More

This place is certainly a treasure. If you want to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki the west side is a place to consider. The surrounding town is not a tourist trap so you are seeing a regular way of life. I found pricing of gas, groceries, and dining were much more reasonable here. There are no... More

We stayed here on a timeshare exchange and we're lucky to get a corner one bedroom apartment which was incredible. We had a wraparound lanai on two sides and the interior was spacious and beautifully furnished. This was one of the best furnished condos that we have stayed in – it had everything we could want including beach towels, beach... More

We have just spent a week in a privately rented 1-br condo at the Hawaiian Princess, overlooking a stunningly beautiful (and uncrowded!) beach. The condo is managed by a local realty company, which is useful and reliable (an important reassurance for private rentals). The owner provided useful, comprehensive directions. It’s worth noting the Hawaiian Princess is not a resort complex,... More

This is an older condo in a poor area of town. You will have a key fob to get you into the property and on the elevators. The staff is only there 9-5 pm. They are friendly. We rented through a timeshare, but there are long-term renters, owners, and people who rent directly from owners. With that said, the view... More

We stayed 2 weeks here and loved it. The appartment is on Makaha Beach on the west side. Its about an hour from the airport. It is a beautiful beach in both directions. The property is clean tidy and well maintained. The appartment had everything that we needed and more. We swam with or saw the turtles everyday. The view... More
