You don’t see the difference until you literally walk next door. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay, I suggest Four Seasons! Staff, Dining, Room/Comfort, beach access all wonderful. Bars close early possibly the only complaint I heard all week.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed 4 nights for our 25th wedding anniversary. It was our first trip anywhere in more than a year due to the pandemic. We had an amazing stay and really enjoyed the beach, pools, dining, fitness center and other property amenities. But it was the high level of service that truly made the trip special. Every single employee from the moment we arrived went above and beyond to be helpful, friendly and efficient. A few examples: E.L. was our server for breakfast at La Hiki. She heard us talking about looking for waterfall hikes and texted her brother, an avid hiker, to get us detailed information about the best choices. Concierge (I don't recall her name)-there is a critical shortage of rental cars on Oahu currently. The local news even had a story of tourists renting Uhaul vans because they couldn't find cars at other locations. I had looked online for a vehicle so we could take a day trip to North Shore but every location showed "sold out". I stopped by the concierge and she found us a convertible at a reasonable rate that was delivered to the hotel within a couple of hours. Malia (Noe) and Christopher (Mina's Fish House) were two of our favorite servers. They were incredibly friendly and also knowledgeable about the menus. We loved our small plate dinners at both of these locations. They also knew it was our anniversary and brought out special free desserts to help us celebrate. Other things we enjoyed: Late checkout-we had an overnight flight that left at 830pm. The hotel let us use our room until 2pm and then then beach/pool/dining for the rest of the day. They have a very nice "late departure/early arrival" lounge with showers the we used before heading to the airport that evening. Island Country Market-this little store is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and has snacks, wine/liquor, deli, etc. The food at the hotel is great, but we really enjoyed picking up some wine, poke bowls and other small items to have in our room fridge.

We had an amazing stay here for our honeymoon. The service we received was fantastic, there was not a member of staff who didn't smile or say Aloha and it really made us feel so welcome. Whether it was receptionists, room service, pool waiters or valet parking drivers, everyone seemed to go the extra mile. It made us feel at so at ease and really added to our stay. Our room was huge, overlooking the pool area and out to sea, what a view to wake up to every morning. The adult infinity pool is great for those wanting to have a few cocktails while lounging in the pool. The location of the hotel is great, away from Waikiki beach which seems very busy and overcrowded. There are also a few restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance if you want to venture out on foot. We really could not fault our stay and we just hope we can come back one day to experience it all again.

The FS Ko Olina is in a league by it's own in Oahu. A wonderful setting away from the busy Waikiki hotel zone. The FS has multiple pools, fantastic restaurants and a Five Star Staff. We spent mornings taking walks along the paved path that runs along the bays and beaches. You'll pass other properties, and see that your choice of the Four Seasons was the right one. The rooms are stellar, well equipped and very comfortable. We booked via Amex FHR, and all extra ammenities were included, although only a $72 credit for bfast. Our great room upgrade provided Sophia at the front desk was unbelievable! Although there's no need to dine outside of the FS. Just a short walk down the block and you'll find a MonkeyPod, great Ice Cream shop, local coffee, ABC Store, and even a Mexican restaurant. We spent most days lounging at the Adult pool. Service provided by Cheye was awesome! Order the pork nachos! The beach is also great. Nice and calm, and relaxing. DINE AT NOE!! Just a wonderful dining experience. The cuisine was fabulous, spagehtti & lobster=fav. Service provided by Jared, Kevin and my bro Doug :) was joyous, with true hawaiian spirit. I would like to acknowledge my All Star FS team members who made our visit a great one. Keanu & Adam from the Bellman staff, Aaron, Corey & Malia at the La Hiki for bfast. David & Michael at Mina's Fish House. Of course Sophia at the front desk, and RUBY Y! RUBY from housekeeping is a true gem. She truly is wonderful, kind and generous. Ruby made us feel right at home. MAHALO again everyone!

The hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent. The adult pool is on of the best spots as well as the Michael Mina restaurant. Everything was very clean and staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and have amazing ocean views.

We were frankly quite disappointed. The design is unattractive and dated, reminded us of a 1970s Hyatt, when gigantic atriums were all the rage. Lots of constant corporate events and private parties…anything to make a buck, at the expense of their guests.

Beautiful resort, excellent service. The staff was great and extremely willing to cater to your every need. The grounds are gorgeous and they have a nice beach to enjoy. The rooms were large and clean. There is a small shopping center across the street an outstanding golf course.

The four seasons at Oahu was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Obviously you’re paying a lot of money, but you would be doing that at any five-star resort and the service and experience were unparalleled. Everything ran smoothly, the staff was beyond nice and helpful, the grounds are stunning and decor is gorgeous, they have activity options for each day, and the facilities were immaculate. The staff want out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our anniversary trip. I love that they don’t upcharge you for extras like many hotels. For instance, any resort guest can use the spa facilities even if you don’t have a spa treatment / appointment. You can rent stand up paddle boards to use in the lagoon for free. The rooms are so spacious (larger than the size of my first apartment in nyc) and the beds are beyond comfy. The infinity adult pool is gorgeous and luxurious and a great place to set up for a lazy day with drinks and food and a book, but all the pools were nice and enjoyable. The beach was usually fairly empty which was nice. As for food, I don’t eat meat or dairy so I have a limited perspective on the food and often ate outside of the resort, but I had a few options at the poolside bar, casual breakfast / lunch restaurant La Hiki, and fine dining restaurant Noe (all were tasty). Something perhaps underrated but amazing is they give you waterproof wristbands that act as your room key. You never have to take them off and you can just leave your wallet in the room safe. As for location, there are a few off-resort restaurants you can walk to or take a short ride to. There’s a convenience store in a shopping mall across the street if you need snacks. If you want to go into Honolulu, it’s a 30-40 min drive (Uber and Lyft were easy to arrange). My only note of caution is before you book (really, any resort in Hawaii) is to ask if there will be a large conference or corporate retreat staying at the resort during your stay, especially if you’re going on a romantic/relaxing couples trip. Towards the end of our stay, a 300-person corporate retreat checked into the hotel and they dominated the adult pool and bars and the scene went from quiet and relaxing to a loud frat party for middle-aged folks. The upside is that it encouraged us to explore the island of Oahu more, but just something to keep in mind!

We spent the week at the hotel and it was paradise. The beauty of the venue is unsurpassed. The room was spacious and comfortably decorated. The infinity pool was spectacular as were the restaurants. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We also had incredible massages in the spa. The only issue which had nothing to do with the hotel was the deafening noise from the Disney resort next door due to construction. It was almost unbearable to sit on the beach from 9am - 4pm. If you are planning to book, check ahead to see if the project is completed.

Gone is the stellar spa from when this hotel was called the Ihilani. When I was there in March, both the needle shower and the steam room, my two favorite facilities, were broken. Gone are the days of hot tea and fruit, too. I found no mention of the healthy menu that used to be available to dine in the lounging areas, although I have to admit that the outdoor lounge areas are much improved and quite lovely. There was no mention of access to the weight room when I was given my tour so I assume it's not accessible any more. The outdoor massage I had was excellent but abrasive music from the pool was much too loud so I was sorry I chose the outdoor location. There were no brand names or labels on of any kind on the dispensers in the showers so there was no way to know whether I was putting shampoo with sulfates that might affect my hair color. There was no discount as a result of the steam room and needle shower being out of disorder. The whole experience was like being in a once first rate spa that turned third rate but kept the prices
