I want preface that this review is for Ocean Tower 801 only since each unit is individually owned. The only good thing was the communication from the guest services representative. She contacted me a few days before we arrived, very friendly and provided clear direction. She met us onsite and gave a quick run down of the unit. While the unit is perfect for families, it needs a refresh including a paint job, updated washer and dryer (not energy efficient, very old, and rust on the interior when you open the dryer door) and other things as outlined in the review. The master bedroom is in desperate need of a new pillows (both sleep and decorative), and a new king mattress as is caves in the middle. The second bedroom is much smaller, and also needs a new mattresses. The living room furniture and rug are worn and has stains. The outdoor patio furniture also has stains, faded and worn cushions, and the faux plants need to be replaced. The kitchen and living room sofa have ants, yes, ants! We communicated with the property management company and was told that maintenance would come and spray the unit while were out. When we returned, we still saw ants. Maintenance came back, looked around and said an expert would need to be called, but gave no indication when that would happen. The master bath has soap scum on the glass shower door and the shower tile has definitely seen better days (this is how it looked when we arrived). The pictures on VRBO are from several years ago and a misrepresentation of the unit because the living room furniture is different, the mattress looks firm (it’s not) and the patio furniture cushions looks new in the pictures, but there not. In terms of the overall property, we had to park in the Beach Tower; be sure to stay in the lines or you’ll get a notice. All the poolside beach chair cushions need to be replaced, very worn. There’s a poolside bar, but I don’t think they sell food. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly, check-in and check-out was easy. My family and I were incredibly disappointed in the unit . The owners really need to invest a little bit of time and money to update the unit. If I could have gotten a full refund, I would have and stayed somewhere else.

This place is phenomenal. We stayed for a week end of September and had an amazing time. We were in beach tower with a perfect view of the ocean, lagoon, mountains and Aulani and the Four Seasons. The sunsets were to die for. The unit was perfectly knitted out in everything we could need. The beach bar was the best and the bartenders were top notch. Best Mai tais I had on the island by far! The lagoon was great for relaxing in a floatie. The koi pond was spectacular and I couldn’t believe how big the fish were. We will definitely come to Oahu and if we do this is where we will stay.

Our family stayed her for a week in August and it was fabulous. There was a lot of room in the villa for all of us and the lagoon was just outside the gate and very relaxing. It was not as crowded as the other beaches on Oahu that we visited. The gym and steam room were impressive and so were the pools and all three hot tubs. The one negative is that the person below us was a smoker and it kept us off the lanai on occasion, but it was not a huge deal. Our condominium came stocked with beach chairs and other accessories so we did not have to rent any of that. Grocery stores were close by so food was easy to get. It was a great place for our first trip to Hawaii.

My sister, niece and 3 boys and I spent 8 days at the resort in June 2021 and loved it! We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath Villa with huge kitchen, dining area and living area. Very spacious and the huge lanai was a plus! Loved having breakfast out there in the mornings and relaxing in the evening. Comfortable beds and beautiful furnishings. Although there were a few problems once we checked in such as air conditioner and dishwasher not working properly the staff was on it right away. And even gave us a gift certificate for Roy's restaurant for our inconvenience. The resort is right on the ocean with a fabulous beach. The sunsets were beautiful.

Fabulous communication, easy and friendly check in. Gorgeous property. Our unit had everything you’d need in the kitchen. Everything you need for the beach (chairs, snorkels, beach bags, sand toys). Pack and play for a little one. Fantastic beach and pool view. Parking space included. Huge balcony with giant sofa. The amenities were awesome: the pools, koi pond, beach bar, lagoons, grills. Pools and beach never crowded. Loved the path around the lagoons for walking in the am, and only a short 5 min walk to Aulani, 4 seasons, Marriott, golf course/Roy’s. Would 100% book this villa over any of those resorts for less crowds and more space. Got a 3br/3 ba condo for the price of 1 room at Aulani. 10 min walk to the Village Center. Can still eat at surrounding resort restaurants and do most Aulani activities (shave ice, character greetings, restaurants and stores. Everything but getting IN the pool). Had zero issues with any sort of visitor hostility or security like other reviews have said. We were left completely alone everywhere we went, and staff was very friendly at check in. A greeter showed us to and around our unit when we arrived.

It was actually a very complicated and mixed up reservation at a neighboring resort that didn't work out. We were pretty upset when we found out our vacation might not happen. I immediately went to VRBO website and found this wonderful place and it was available for the time we needed. Someone had just cancelled and we were in luck. And luck it was. It was the best thing that could have happened. The neighboring resort we had planned on staying was crowded and too many reservations needed to sit by a pool or on the beach. However, Beach Villas at Ko Olina was a dream come true. Quiet, family friendly, relaxing and beautiful unit. Very comfortable and laid out quite nicely. My husband and I along with my daughter and son in law completely enjoyed our week long stay. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The "quiet pool" was gorgeous and quiet! I enjoyed it fully. The beach was great located on one of the lagoons in Ko Olina and a very non crowded one at that. It was truly wonderful! the view from our unit was gorgeous and the property manager, Louie, was kind and very helpful. He addressed any of our needs that came up. We are so grateful to have found this heavenly place and will definitely be back at some point! Loved, loved, loved it!

We recently went to the Beach Villas at Ko Olina on a staycation since travel is restrictive lately. Starts International made the stay enjoyable and easy. They also informed us of all the modified rules we need to be aware of and were very helpful throughout the whole process. The room was very spacious with 2 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen and huge dining area...aside from the living area and lanai. Everything was very high quality with high ceilings and oversized Koa doors and trim. The grounds were very nice also with separate pools snaking throughout the grounds and of course the beach is right there connected to the property. We were also surprised to find the nicest gym we’ve ever seen at a hotel/resort area. We used it everyday and it even had a steam shower, sauna and relaxation area. The gym equipment was in very good condition and good quality. Highly recommend booking a room and thank you Starts for coordinating everything so seamlessly.

The Beach Villas at Ko'olina is our favorite place to stay. We stayed in the Ocean Tower unit 506 for 7 days in a large 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with a balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds. It also had a modern, full-size kitchen (fully stocked with appliances) which we used daily and a washer/dryer in the unit which was great. The unit was equipped with everything we needed from pots and pans to beach toys and chairs. The grounds are breathtaking! It had Koi ponds, a private lagoon, 2 pools (quiet pool and lagoon pool), BBQ areas and a fitness center. The location was also a plus for us because it was away from the crowds. It is located on the West side of the island near Costco, Target and many restaurants. We could not have asked for a better getaway and cannot wait to stay here again!

I am sad that I have to write such a negative report but this property is taking advantage of the situation. We were all set to travel to this property but the World Wide pandemic was declared and the whole world changed. The federal government and state governments asked all Americans to curtail non-essential travel. So we had to cancel the entire trip. The airline complied and issued us a full refund. We contacted VRBO and they directed us to call the property owner Michael Hege Property ID# 391997, he declined a full refund. He is profiting from this national disaster. VRBO is sitting back and doing nothing. AirBnB is giving complete refunds. I think this is outrageous given the circumstances. I would not recommend doing business with VRBO or this property.

Aloha, I apologize on behalf of Beach Villas at Ko Olina for your disappointment with the cancellation policy of this owner. We are a resort condominium managed by an AOAO. Our condominium owners may use their villa as a residence, second home, or vacation rental. If vacation rental, owners will rent their villa on their own or use one of 9 different rental agents. They all function independently and visitors have a choice to book through any of these owners or rental agents. We hope you will consider giving another owner a chance to show you the beauty and serenity of Beach Villas at Ko Olina. Mahalo!

This place is lovely. The sunsets are phenomenal on the lagoons. It’s right new door to Aulani, Marriott Beach Club, and Four Seasons so there are plenty of dining options without the actual resort crowds (or kids: I have two but prefer a resort without kids running amuck). It’s great for older and calmer kids and couples. The villas have everything you need to cook, do laundry, etc. A quick trip to Costco (15 min. away) the first day and we were all set! Go to Longboards next door at Marriott. Great beach seating and yummy food and drinks. Disney’s Ama Ama is cozy as well but expect Disney prices and lots of kids on property. The ABC store “in town” is great for food and souvenirs, liquor as well, but just walk. There’s never any parking available and only takes 7-10 minutes to walk. There’s also a fun luau next door at Paradise Cove that is worth the time as well.
