Paradise Bay was an absolute gem. If you’re looking to get out of the bustle and chaos of Waikiki and see what Oahu really has to offer, this is your place. The room was so clean and quiet. We loved waking up to the sounds of tropical birds and enjoying our coffee on the deck with a misty and stunning view of the bay. Complimentary kayaks are at the ready. We took them out and saw half a dozen sea turtles. Also enjoyed the beautiful pool in the afternoon all to ourselves. 10 min drive away from great restaurants, hikes and beaches. Wish we stayed here longer! Will definitely book here again if we’re ever in Oahu!

Our family stayed in the penthouse suite at Paradise Bay for 7 nights. The unit views were amazing and there was lots of space for our family. The unit could have used more amenities in the kitchen for cooking since the meals were not provided this time around. I wish we were notified in advance that meals and boat excursions were not available. This was the reason for choosing this resort the first time around in 2018. The front desk greetings were great, especially Michael, who was most helpful with suggestions on dining and in house reservations. I was able to view many sea turtles on my kayak rides during our stay.

There's not a lot of options on the windward side of Oahu but this is one place you can stay to get away from the bustle and traffic of waikiki. It's close to attractions like Kualoa ranch, Kaneohe sandbar, byodo-in temple and hoomaluhia botanical garden. The actual hotel is located interesting enough in a residential area. While it is quite peaceful at night it is 1minute away from a 7eleven and 10minites drive from plentiful options for restaurants. I had booked a classic studio which was the only room available at the time and the price was relatively cheap for Hawaii standards. On arrival we were given a two bedroom unit on the second floor. It was stair only access to the second floor so let them know if you have mobility issues or heavy bags. The room itself had shutter windows with frosted glass, but I had not booked a room expecting a view. However this also meant that I could hear everything going on in the carpark, including the roosters crowing (beware of you're a light sleeper). The room itself was very clean and because of covid they didn't do housekeeping but would collect trash/dirty towels if requested. Otherwise the unit was quite basic. There was a kitchen complete with cooking and eating utensils. One bedroom had two singles while the other had a long bed which actually had quite a comfy mattress. I didn't see any cockroaches in the room at all but I did see them running around in the outside areas. Overall it's a decent option if you're looking to stay on the windward side of the island but don't expect a luxury resort. I would recommend booking a room with a view. I think it will also be nicer once it's restaurant is back up and running.

Nice, quiet resort with a small but beautiful pool and a simple kitchenette to make the stay more affordable. The resort is well-positioned to visit Kualoa Ranch, Lanikai, and Kailua on the Windward coast and to drive up the coast to the North Shore. Our favorite was Kailua beach - a quick 15 min drive away. there is not much food nearby but lots of options in Kailua that we enjoyed. If you want to be in the middle of the action, this is not the place for you. If you want to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet and like to make your own breakfast, it was great. It's worth the extra to get a bay view. and be sure to book early on kayaks and yoga. also, like much of Hawii - you can hear the roosters! We were coming from the mainland so up early anyway - wasn't as noticible if you closed the windows and used the AC.

We had a very nice 2 night stay at Paradise Bay. The resort provided yoga, kayaks, and beach towels. We stayed in room 18 which was 20 feet from Kaneohe Bay and had a nice view of the bay and the mountains. The resort is well positioned to visit Kualoa Ranch, Lanikai, and Kailua on the Windward coast and to drive up the coast to the North Shore. If you want to get away from Waikiki in a low key setting and don’t need high priced resort amenities, this is a good choice.

If you are looking for a high end "fancy" resort then this is not your place. This is a hidden gem. I almost don't want to review it because I don't want anyone else to find it. LOL. It is quiet and small. It is hidden in a neighborhood in Kaneohe. My wife and I loved our stay here. We had a room facing Kaneohe Bay and it was beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We love it here. If you do book a room here make sure you make kayak reservations. The reef area here is incredible.

If you are looking for something in the middle of all the action, this place isn't for you. If you are looking to get away from all that, this place was perfect. Located in a residential area, there is no nightlife or traffic, just peace and quiet. The most noise we heard was from the many birds in the trees across the canal, especially at dawn and dusk. Some reviewers have had negative comments about the lack of food and housekeeping services, but in these times of COVID, we were happy to be able to finally visit Hawaii, and had no problem taking care of these things ourselves. We had a kitchenette with pots, pans, dishes - everything we needed to prepare some simple meals (except food of course.). No, there was no food service on site, but we knew that up front and were prepared to do a little light cooking in the morning. Since we were going out anyway, we ate lunch and dinner out. We simply put towels and linens out in the morning utilizing their contactless website, and a plastic bag with fresh towels were there upon our return. We have been fortunate to do a bit of traveling since things started opening up and actually we have found this to be not uncommon, so were prepared for it, and it was not a problem. There is a lot to do on the east side of the island, we actually only went to Honolulu twice. It isn't a new place, so our rooms had a bit of an old Hawaii feel, but they were clean and everything was functioning. Overall a very nice quiet and relaxing place to stay. Staff was very friendly also.

The location was wonderful and staff were very friendly. Rooms are basic (they've got a few TV subscription channels that you can log into if you have your own account) and walls are very thin. My only issue was that they are still charging a $19 per night Resort Fee (half off) even though they aren't serving breakfast and they additionally charge $15 per night for parking. The Resort Fee covers kayak rentals, the fitness room, and pool towels, but if you're not using those things, it would be nice if it at least covered parking on their property. This added up to an additional $200 for 5 nights. I'd prefer that they just charge for amenities à la carte. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Where to start? Upon check in the, front desk could not explain why the room costs were higher than my reservation stated. He was quite clear with his explanation on how the resort was to be contacted if we needed anything, and that was to be strictly by email. We were told that linen service would be provided after three nights only to find out we had to request the service and put all the towels and linens in a bag outside our front door and they would replace them by the end of the day. Therefore, we had to strip the bed and remake it. When they did replace the linen they did not provide pillow covers and when the front desk was asked the response was " House keeping has left and I don't know where they're at so I just put a T-shirt over the pillow when I don't have one!" We were also informed that if wanted trash removal service we had to request it after collecting it and placing it outside the door! I understand the need to prevent the spread of COVID, but I believe this business is using it as an excuse to provide no service. We were "upgraded" to a two bedroom unit that appears to have been an apartment at sometime that has been poorly remodeled. The laminate flooring has separated and had gaps in it. The entire complex appears to have been apartments at one time as it is located in a residential neighborhood with virtually no parking. The pictures they provide on their website of the rooms are to say the VERY least, misleading. I would reconsider your choice to stay.
