We live on the Oahu and wanted to get away from the house. Never stayed on this side of the island so we decided to book this resort. Glad we did. The views are nice, the pool and hot tub is cool. The snorkel and sandbar excursion with Rallen and Brian was one of the funniest we’ve been on. The rooms are a little outdated but the experiences you can have here (excursions, kayak rental etc) makes up for it. It’s a great place to stay that’s not as expensive as staying downtown Honolulu but still experience what Oahu has to offer, just in a more intimate setting. We will stay here again for sure.

I seriously cannot say enough about this resort. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. There were 7 of us there together and we had three rooms: 1 water side and 2 garden view. All rooms had AMAZING views. I don’t think there is a bad room there! Check in was easy and the staff is so nice and helpful!! Since we were spread across multiple rooms they helped with group bookings making things so much easier! You will need a car if you want to eat during covid restrictions have the restaurant closed. But there are a ton of restaurants and grocery stores close and the driving is easy on the island. If you don’t want to get a car, Uber is readily available and the cheapest way to go!! The snorkel / sand bar excursion was by far the best activity we did while there!!! Captain Rallan and Brian made the tour so enjoyable!!! I’ve been on snorkel adventures in other locations and this is by far the most enjoyable one I’ve been on!! Thank you guys for a great morning!!! All-in-all the whole family had an amazing time and we can’t wait to go back!!

This resort is away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, thank god. It’s a beautiful resort facing the mountains and the sea. In front of the hotel you have a shallow bay to snorkel and kayak in. The hotel has several docs you can rest on during the day or night. It provides free yoga lessons as well. The room we stayed in was spacious. It has two queen beds, a large closet, and a small kitchenette. The highlight of our stay, besides the quiet nature, was the boat trip the hotel offers ( the only one in Oahu) that takes you on a snorkeling and sand bar excursion for very reasonable prices. My two girls had a blast jumping off the boat into the sea, snorkeling, and swimming in the sandbar. The boat captains were super nice and made sure everyone was safe. One of them even swam out into the ocean to check on a elderly man to make sure he was doing well. The only draw back to this place was that the pool was too small and old. Also, a little music and some drinks or on-site coffee and snacks we could purchase would be great. May I even suggest a catch and release fishing option for families? If we ever go back to Oahu, it will be to this hotel.

Paradise Bay markets itself as a luxury boutique hotel, however it is not much more than tiny condos on the bay. We booked a one bedroom suite for 3 nights and was really excited because they had so many glowing reviews. We stayed here after spending 5 nights at Hale Koa and before staying 2 nights at Turtle Bay. Paradise Bay is still restricting housekeeping and provides 2 bath towels in the room, there is a website where you can request additional. The 2 other hotels was stayed at have already restored housekeeping services, I assume Paradise Bay has done away with housekeeping as a cost saving measure rather than Covid safety. The lack of housekeeping didn’t really bother us, my issue is with the suite 25 looked like their was a connecting room originally that the door was painted over, the wire shelf it the shower was completely rusted and the bath soaps and conditioner were in a public restroom style dispenser not what you expect from “boutique” hotel. Upon check we were excited to book the sandbar excursion and requested 1pm checkout as the only day it was offered was checkout day, we told we could request the checkout the day of. Saturday arrived and I went to the desk first thing in the morning and was told it was not possible, that they never authorize a late checkout after 12pm and we could use the bathroom on the boat to change. It ruined my time at the excursion, I did not snorkel because I knew a shower would not be available to me. The crew was nice, but I felt like I wasted $120 (the boat excursion is $60pp) because I couldn’t fully enjoy myself. After we docked I attempted to use the boat bathroom to change and the door was stuck closed. The staff then let us use a bathroom it the activity room, which was not offered previously. I would not recommend paradise bay was a “luxury” stay it is no more than a camp ground with cabins. We did enjoy the pool and hot tub. And Windward side of the island is lovely, but look for other accommodations are be aware of what you are actually booking.

The snorkel cruise was, again, one of the best outings we have had with Paradise Bay Resort! Brian and Captain Rallen are awesome and make the excursions so much fun. This is our second trip to Paradise Bay and today was our third snorkel trip. Absolutely the best on the island of Oahu!
