Our stay at the Green Turtle House was perfection. Our best VRBO experience yet. It is a beautiful and clean little house near the laid back town of Pa'ia. Everything in the house was well thought out- well equipped kitchen, good supply of clean linens and towels (even body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided!) practical but beautiful and well laid...

Lovely place, cozy, comfortable and convenient! Close to the wonderful organic town of Paia, where great food and shopping are. Walking distance to the beach, great starting point to drive to Hana, plenty of sites to explore and a fantastic cultural experience. Would definitely stay again!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the gingerbread house in Paia when we cam from the big island for a woman’s workshop. This little house is a gem in a quiet neighborhood with friendly people all around. The house was adorable, clean, and comfortable for two women on an adventure, with the most amazing hot tub!! We would hop in...

We spent our last night on Maui in Paia at The Gingerbread House. We were greeted by Megan and were made to feel welcome. The house is very cute and comfortable. I like the fact that they recycled. I would definitely stay with Spyglass again when I return to Maui.

I enjoyed staying at the Bicycle Inn near Paia. There are 3 bedrooms in the apartment and the "Mermaid Room" is where I've stayed. The apartment location was perfect for me as it is close to the Hanna Hwy. and was a great starting location for my cycling trips. The apartment is also very close to a beautiful beach and...

My son, daughter and I had a fabulous week staying in Maui at the Skyline. The view was great and the sweet sounds of nature permeated my ears each morning as I woke up. Liam was such a delight to get to know and helped us with anything we needed. Poni was so easy to work with on arrival and...

My wife and I really enjoyed the week we spent in the Yoga Studio apartment. It's super spacious and the bed was pretty good. The giant window is really beautiful, and it felt very private. (One note, there was no guest above us during our stay, so I can't comment on the sound from above.) Poni came by with candles...

Stayed at the Yoga Studio Room for a couple days. Absolute perfection. I would live in that room forever if I had the opportunity! The big round window with the swaying bamboo was my favorite thing to see first thing in the morning. Beautiful, clean, and in such a great location. Love love love!

I had not read the reviews here before my stay at the Gingerbread House. After reading some of the reviews my jaw dropped in disbelief. I am sad to write this review! Sad because I am no longer in Paia in the Gingerbread house! My boyfriend and I spent a few days here and were totally in love with the...

We stayed at the yoga studio rental. It was an okay experience, but definitely somewhat of a bait and switch as they didn't state certain things up front. Pros -- pretty space, nice and open. Clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice location. The pictures are accurate as to what you see. Cons -- (1) GIANT SPIDERS. Apparently called cane spiders and...

Aloha Guests, The spider problem is not an issue right now, as the suger cane fields get harvested every two years and we are on the off year in our area. When they are ready to harvest, they turn off the irrigation, and the spiders rome from the fields to look for water, and toward the nice green lawns of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Spyglass Maui Rentals are two, well cared for homes, right next door to each other, in the middle of all of the North Shore beaches and less than a mile from Paia town, in a local, residential neighborhood. The closest beach access is a 5 minute walk away. The houses are owned by a two good friends and long time Maui residents, Liam McCormick and Poni Brendan, who call themselves family. Our on-sight manager, Sabrina, and full time housekeeper, Patti are here to assist you. The rentals are clean, comfortable and will make you feel like you are spending time in a "home away from home" rather than in a resort hotel. The Gingerbread House, at the rear of the property, is a very unique, two story, one bedroom house with a lanai off the second floor bedroom and an outdoor patio on the ground level. It has a jetted tub in the first floor bathroom. The Green Turtle House can be rented as a ONE or TWO bedroom house and can accommodate up to 6 guests when rented as a TWO bedroom. In our older reviews and on Google there is mention of the Bicycle Inn/House and the beachfront "Spyglass House". These are no longer our properties. The most current reviews of our properties can be found on Airbnb and VRBO. In our rentals, we try to provide everything that you will need to enjoy your vacation and leave your cares at home. Our focus is to create a lovely environment so that our guests can have a wonderful base from which to enjoy their vacation and explore all that is beautiful and special about Maui. Please contact us if you need additional information or have specific questions. During your stay, we are on-site and happy to help. Mahalo! ... more   less

“Keep a window or two open or maybe a ceiling fan running while you are gone during the day otherwise when you return it will be hot and humid.”
 of 5 bubbles shannonp199, Jan 15, 2012 | Read review
“We were really lucky: We paid for one of the rooms that had a shared bath, and no one joined us the two nights we were there, so we got an entire house all to ourselves. Before you book, consider e-mailing the owner and seeing if she can give you any heads up about how booked the place is. It would be a shame to pay extra for the suite if both other bedrooms stayed open, and if no one else is renting any of the space for the time you're there, you should definitely get a room there! An amazing deal.”
