We had an excellent one night stay at The Paia Inn. The staff was more than attentive and genuinely friendly! Our studio suite was perfect. Every room was fresh, inviting and most importantly, relaxing. Our housekeeper took us on a tour of "how to get to the beach" when we arrived and we loved the dreamy paths to get there....

When we were trying to find the Inn we were a little confused when our GPS directed us to a Chevron station on the busy main street of Paia but when we stepped into the Inn they managed to create a whole different world. Carley was fantastic! So spunky, welcoming and helpful. I loved hte art and the interior design...

So many great reviewers have given all the studious facts you'll need so I'll not go into all the what-to-do's. I just want to thank the staff for a great surprise 10th Anniversary trip, first Hawaiian for both of us, and for the laid back atmosphere that made 7 days pass in the blink of an eye. Mahalo nui loa!

The Good 1. Front desk staff is unbelievably happy, super-cool and friendly (seriously, how are people this happy all the time?) 2. low key vibe of paia 3. The beach is a short walk through a path. Surfing was okay, knee to thigh, powerless waves, fun, no crowds, one turtle 4. Unbelievable fish sandwich at paia fish market The Not-So-Good...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights of our five night stay in Maui. We regretted not spending longer there! We booked initially into the Hyatt as they had availability, and there, for what we paid, what we got was disappointing! Paia Inn was totally different, much more intimate, and the staff there were really friendly and helpful! My...

My wife and I stayed at the Paia Inn at the end of March/ beginning of April for 7 nights. The staff is immediately friendly and helpful, and the owner (who is always around) ensures that you are enjoying your stay. The rooms in the actual Inn are very clean and "chic", perfect for a one or two night stay....

To be #1 on Trip Advisor, a hotel should be off-the-charts amazing. The Pa'ia Inn is nice, and the staff was outstanding, but this is far from Shangri La. We had a two-bedroom suite (#11) that was not in the main building, but rather in the back of the hotel in a separate building. While the Internet photos featured a...

My family and I stayed here at the legendary Paia Inn, the #1 hotel in Maui and all of Hawaii. We had very high expectations considering the rave reviews. Never the less, we had a great stay at Paia Inn. Does it deserve to be the #1 hotel in Hawaii, Yes - I think so! The town of Paia is...

We stayed here the last night of our honeymoon, it was great! I highly recommend that everyone stays in Paia at least one night while they are in Maui - it was such a nice change of pace from the west shore (aka "tourist land"). The town has wonderful shops showcasing items by local artists - and also has several...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The postcard perfection of Maui’s North Shore (white sand beaches, raging waterfalls, stylish cafes, and world-class surfers) just got even better with the opening of the Paia Inn. This beach town boutique hotel seamlessly blends modern amenities with the historic character of its building. In a nod to the town’s plantation trade days, the building’s exterior has retained its charm with tin rooftops and rustic hues; yet, the interior mixes contemporary island furnishings with the chic lushness of the W Hotel. ... more   less
