Honokeana Cove resort in Napili, Maui These are individually owned condos built at the back of an ocean bay. Next door to Napili Point Resort and residential homes on the other side. Perfectly manicured garden and pool. Great place to watch surfers and snorkelers. Located in the lush , high rainfall district of Napili and has a Lahaina mailing address. This unit had 3 bedrooms and unobstructed view. Nice kitchen and a bar. Every unit is different.
Nice low-key,average apt.facility. Not crowded. Beautiful close up ocean view.Grounds well kept. Nice small pool, good grilling setup. Nothing fancy. No restaurant or bar on site. Many nearby'. A good place to kick back and relax.
I have never had an issue with a hotel. But here, the management was extremely rude. The cleaning staff were very nice, but the management left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will never stay here again. Do not recommend.
We have stayed in #210 at least a dozen times. The small development sits on an idyllic cove with a stunning view of Molokai in the background. The grounds are lovely and the whole place has an Old Hawaii vibe that we love. It's sooo relaxing and beautiful. I could sit on the Lanai for hours just looking at the view. Snorkeling daily is a must, just steps from the door and guaranteed to see turtles swimming and or lying on the beach. The pool is the closest to the water your are going to get in any development I've seen. BBQ-ing on the oceanfront is amazing. If you get tired of that, there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance.
Honokeana Cove is a lovely complex and 117 is very nicely renovated and furnished. We would have given this a 5 star review if it weren’t for the cockroaches in the kitchen and the dismissals from the My Perfect Stays management company. Furthermore, I submitted a less than perfect review on the My Perfect Stays website since I had booked through them and was invited to write one. They clearly filter through and select favourable reviews to post, because they didn’t post mine. Don’t trust reviews on their website!
I love Honokeana Cove for many reasons and will return here using the honokeana.net website. We made the mistake of booking through AirB&B and ended up with the condo managed by a weird company, "MyPerfectStay" Huge mistake. Stay away from them. You launder their towels. Staying 9 days, I expected to be provided clean sets every 3 days. Or at least once during my 9 day visit. These were also no beach towels, but I will get to that later. This set-up is not for the vacationer, but the company, because they provide no services. They provide some toilet paper and shampoo, but not enough for your stay, so you go out and buy some, but can't fit the leftovers into your suitcase - so you end up providing the toiletries for the next guests. We paid a ton of money and planned ahead for a lovely vacation. I have never had to do laundry for the place I was staying on vacation until now. An I have never had to buy toilet paper for a vacation house. This is unbelievable! Again, highest marks for the rest of Honokeana Cove and no marks for the independent Condo #117. Now for the details. The kitchen is skinny, but functional. The water heater is in the kitchen, which is kind of weird, but maybe that can't be helped. The dishwasher is super quiet, which is really. The dining table is trendy and there are nice chairs in the living room with a cool wooden coffee table. The couch either needs to be cleaned or dumped. It's kind of scary and I didn't sit on it. The balcony is lovely. 117 does happen to have the worst view, but the grounds and easy access makes that perfectly okay. Bedroom 1: seems nice. It has its own bathroom, and a dresser, but no closet space. It is jam packed with extra blankets, chairs, a broken broom, and I don't know what else. My sisters did not sleep well on it. Bedroom 2 looks real cute. There is a dresser that guests are allowed to use, but the closet is locked. When we went out for a nice dinner, my clothes were completely wrinkled because I had nowhere to hang anything. They last Air B&B. I stayed at had a locked closet, but they provided a place to hang clothes. The twin beds are really firm which made my shoulders and hips ache. Getting old is not fun, but I wouldn't mind the bed problems if they would just provide toilet paper. Each bathroom had a partial roll, and then 2 extra rolls which lasted 7 days, but with a 9 day stay and 4 people in the condo, we needed a little more. Asked for another roll of toilet paper, but they told us to go buy it ourselves. So we needed one more roll and had to buy 4. What do you do with the other three? You can't pack them, you you guessed it, we provided the next guests with 3 rolls of toilet paper and the stingy company "My Perfect Stay" doesn't have to supply the next guests. Beach Towels: Every condo but this one had beach towels. The stingy "My Perfect Stay" people finally relented after we explained that we had to use our bath towels on an excursion. It was pretty embarrassing. After cleaning ourselves from the ocean water, rather than provide new towels they told us to clean them ourselves, because "My Perfect Stay" does not care if your stay is perfect for you. It's perfect for them, because they do not give provide any of the services we paid for.…
We stayed in unit 210 and felt so relaxed and at-home that we didn’t want to leave! The condo is clean, spacious and nicely decorated and portions have been recently renovated. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to make a beautiful meal. The unit also includes beach chairs which was a nice touch. The property is immaculate and everyone is very friendly. We enjoyed using the community bbq area and pool, which must be heated since the water was always the perfect temperature. Snorkeling in the cove is fantastic - lots of giant sea turtles! This complex is a 5-minute walk from Napili Beach and some great restaurants. Don’t hesitate to book your stay here! You’ll love it!
This was our second visit to Honokeana Cove, and it was a sad disappointment. 218, though with a fantastic view over the water, seemingly has been ignored by its owners since the 90s. As our family owns some vacation rental properties, we pride ourselves on updating and providing a guestbook to get feedback from our guests. That’s missing here. In this unit, the appliances are old, everything is mismatched, missing or just ancient (when a serrated edge knife is dull, you know it’s old), and every expense has been spared in bedding, lighting (no over head lights in any bedroom), general maintenance, and not even an alarm clock in any room. The living room furniture is actually outdoor patio furniture. The flat screen is new, but I’d estimate it’s the size of a cookie sheet (it’s not what we’re here for, but rain happens). At night, when you can see into other units with beautiful appliances, TVs, lighting, woodwork, etc., you can tell other owners actually use their unit. The ant infestation was not pleasant when we came in, but we saw that they had ant traps out and it improved. It was more disturbing that we were interrupted during our stay by maintenance to come in and put in batteries into the two fire alarms – except for one fire alarm was just completely missing. The cove itself seems to be affected by more runoff than I remember. If you’re an experienced snorkeler (consider the water clarity changes from fresh to salt and vice versa), you can see the influx of fresh water coming off the north side of the cove. The turtles are still present and wonderful! But the coral is showing significant damage and decay compared to our visit five years ago. Finally, one of the most charming things we liked about these condos in the past was the peace and quiet. There is no need for air conditioning because of the wonderful airflow. But rowdy groups with bad, loud music aren’t fun and management takes off at night. This is truly a place for young families and older folks. This is not for the party crowd. The road outside has only become more dangerous with traffic – it is really not a walkable place. I wish the cove was as pristine as we remember in 2016, and I wish every unit had the same kind of love. Be careful when renting here. There are other condos for comparable prices, and as the cove was the main draw, and the lovely view, I’ll keep it a three dot, but we wouldn’t return or recommend it.…
Our unit 104 needed some updating and the view was just ok but unit 101(my sisters) was amazing. For the money , a nice spot. It was a nice location, close to many things of interest. Wish there were safer places to walk
This was our second visit to Honokeana Cove and we already want to come back. We stayed in Condo 115 which met all our needs. Not knowing it was Spring Break it was a little noisier than our last visit in Dec 2017 but we were there for a special birthday and anniversary so the date couldn't be changed! Su was great helping us prior to booking and always on hand if we needed her during our stay. Staying for 10 nights we got to know a few other residents all of whom were on repeat visits to the Cove which speaks for itself in how relaxing and lovely it is. The view, the turtles and the whales truly make this such a special place and we would not consider staying anywhere else on Maui.
