We enjoyed our stay at the Garden Gate. It was everything we'd hoped it would be...quiet and inviting. The picture on their website doesn't do the ambience any justice because the grounds are gorgeous! The lanai area was nice and offered a full view of the ocean along with tables and chairs and chaise lounge. Also, a computer on the... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Garden Gate. The property itself is charming with a beautiful tropical courtyard complete with bananas fresh from the tree! The owners, Bill and Jaime are warm and accommodating. It is fun getting to know the other guests around the breakfast table. We hated to leave our cozy room and can't wait to go... More

I want to expand on my previous report to add some perspective to the problems we faced. Firstly on arrival at the Garden Studio there was a smell in the toilet as if it had been used recently and the bed sheets were creased. I mentioned this politely to the girl standing in for the absentee owners and she commented... More

All of us here at the Garden Gate are sorry that you were displeased with your stay. We all strive to make our guests’ visits comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. We have rarely heard anything different, so of course, we take your concerns seriously. We have been in business for 30 years. Our Bed and Breakfast has been voted the #1... More

My new wife and I stayed at the Garden Gate B&B at the recommendation of my sister who stayed there two years ago and we were not disappointed. The room, hospitality and breakfast all more than met our expectations, it is cozy and close to all the attractions in and around Lahaina. We were situated in a large oceanview room... More

Staying at the Garden Gate does the trick if you wish to stay away from big Hotels on the coast. However do not expect to interact with owners or to be in a charming room in an actual house. The Garden Gate is what we call "a disguised hotel". Upon entering on the premixes through a gate (The Garden Gate)... More

I stayed at the Garden Gate Bed and Breakfast in March 2008. It was a gorgeous place with lovely gardens and a nice breakfast provided. My room was a little small but I did have the smallest of all the rooms. The other rooms looked bigger. It was a short walk to the beach and a 20 min walk either... More

Positives: The Garden Gate Bed & Breakfast was a little less than what we had expected but overall was quite happy with our accommodation. When we first arrived we were shown to our room by Bill who informed us that we would be receiving an upgrade in a couple of days (as we were staying there a week), however this... More

In our opinion, staying in a B&B means having different expectations from a hotel. Expect at minimum a clean and safe room, a little something to eat in the morning, and maybe some interesting interactions with the locals. Anything more than that makes it exceptional, and each B&B reflects the quirks of its owner. Staying in a B&B can also... More

We just got back from Maui yesterday and I wanted to share with everyone what a nice experience we had at the Garden Gate in Lahaina. We got so much more than we expected. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a King room with an ocean view. Beautiful. You can watch the sunset from the upper... More
