We stayed here for three days, it was very relaxing. Beautiful view, close to town, the room was so romantic and cute. The bathtub was to die for! And cute outdoor shower. The entire stay was so enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Where to begin?? My wife chose this bed and breakfast as our second location during our honeymoon, and for that I am forever grateful :) We arrived a few minutes before sunset and were blown away from the moment we approached the main entrance. The light, the architecture, the flow of the house - everything blew us away. We couldn't stop laughing with our minds blown. The staff was equally amazing. I spoke with Dan (owner) a few times and he was more than accommodating throughout our entire 4 night stay. Our room was perfect, the breakfast was healthy and delicious, and the private massage and chef option (shout out to Carrie and Chef Juan!) was incredible. If you're looking for a romantic touch, you will love the flower upgrade. There were some bugs, frogs, and geckos hanging out with us, but that's to be expected when you're nestled next to a giant jungle valley. They didn't bother us one bit. In fact we enjoyed their company. It was fun watching them hunt. The only thing that could have been better is if Dan was a Broncos fan :) JK, Dan. Worth every penny. 5 starts through and through! If you're on your honeymoon, book this place for a few nights and enjoy. The only regret you'll have is leaving.

My partner and I really enjoyed staying for the week at the Ho'oilo House. It was very comfortable with beautiful furniture and tasteful décor. The location is situated up on a hill with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It's in a lovely neighborhood with a walking path close by. Dan was available to answer any questions we had and was super friendly. Amazing breakfast with homemade muffins and fresh fruit! I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely want to come back if we ever make it back to Maui!

Ho'oilo House is the only place my husband and I would want to stay when visiting Maui. It is all adult, uncrowded, serene, convenient, and beautiful. Dan and Amy are so friendly and kind. We appreciated the cleanliness of our room, and we really enjoyed the delicious muffins and fruit. It was wonderful coming back from a long day of exploring to find a calm, relaxing environment waiting for you! We loved lounging around the pool and sipping wine in the evenings. The grounds are immaculate too. We greatly appreciated being able to borrow the beach chairs and umbrellas. This is the ultimate place to stay in Maui, and although I am sure all the rooms are really nice, we chose to stay in Wailele both times. It is a beautiful room. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

My Husband I came to Maui on our honeymoon , and staying here was the highlight of the trip! Ho'oilo House is in a great location just minute's away from downtown Lahaina. Ho'olio House is very peaceful, quiet, tropical and a amazing place to stay in paradise. We loved the breakfast in the morning and outdoor shower. Dan is a great host and very helpful with questions we had. If you and your spouse are looking for a place to stay, this is the place!!

Dan and Amy run an outstanding B&B. The pandemic protocols were reasonable and welcomed. Really had no impact on our stay. Even though housekeeping isn’t regularly scheduled for the room, you can request anything at anytime and housekeeping gets right on it. You fill out a continental breakfast order form the night before with a preferred morning service time. The breakfast tray is left for you on the dinning room table in the morning for pickup. Enjoy in your room or one of the socially distanced spots around the pool area. Excellent scones and/or muffins, toast, cereal/granola, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee/tea/juices. The POG was really good. We were lucky enough to book the Nalu room for 7 nights. Amazing views of the water and Lanai across the channel. Each morning we watched whales in the distance while having breakfast outside. Bring a good pair of binoculars and you’ll see a real show. Just watch were the boats are heading or stopped. They are usually tracking the whales. Great nighttime star gazing as well. The location is very convenient to the west side of Maui. Lahaina is only 10 minutes away. Great dinning options. Just make reservations well in advance. The northwest shore beaches are 20 minutes. Lots to do. If you are looking for a cup of coffee while on the road, there is a great coffee truck at the traffic light at the turn for Ho’olio. Ask Dan for activity and dinner recommendations. We did a whale watch and Maui chocolate tour. He was spot on with every recommendation.

My mother and I had the pleasure of staying at this little piece of heaven. The room we stayed in was exactly like the photos and the property was gorgeous. But what made the stay magical was the love and attention Dan and family paid in ensuring everything we needed was handled.

This B&B lives up to expectations. The rooms are nice and the whole place feels secluded and special. It’s easy to get to, and conveniently located a short drive to downtown. The breakfasts are simple, but quality and on time. (For Covid, you order the night before and pick up your tray at the appointed time.) Choice of cereal, fruit, homemade muffins or bread, and/or hard boiled eggs. Just one downside we noticed - the bathroom has no door, so we were essentially in one large room. There’s a doorway, but no door or curtain. The toilet is around a corner, but you have to be careful where you step while someone’s using it or you see them. And, of course, the sounds and smells don’t stay in the corner. That was a bit disappointing, especially if someone had to use the restroom in the middle of the night or was a bit noisy (trying not to get too gross)! But otherwise, a great stay and we’d come back next time.

What a sweet place! Loved our stay here in the peaceful, serene, beautiful hills above Lahaina. Dan is a wonderful host, tends to every need, and full of great information. The morning breakfast set up is perfect. We enjoyed our daily tray poolside, listening to the birds helping us greet the day. The outdoor showers are an awesome experience! Who would ever want a traditional shower again? Note: be prepared to navigate your luggage down the stairs from the parking area to the house.
