We have many privately owned Valley Isle Resort Vacation Rental Condos.

Our resort is in lovely Kahana, a part of Lahaina. Maui is the best island, and the West Coast of Maui is the best part of Maui. We are right in the middle of Maui's West Coast.

We have many amenities such as our heated pool and barbecue area.

When you contact an owner, know they own one or several of the condos in our resort and can refer you to other owners. Also, know that each condo is different and run differently. So make sure you get photo's of the condo you would like.

Also, occasionally this site says we do not have availability. More than likely we most certainly do have availability. Just Google "Valley Isle Resort" and you'll see many of us who have open condos and contact us individually. Valley Isle Resort is used by other companies to get your attention and then they send you to a different page saying we do not have openings.

wasn't sure what to expect since I knew this was an older building in Kahana. I shouldn't have worried because the condo was perfect for us. You're looking right out at the water, and can hear the surf crashing 24/7 which is so soothing, especially at night. It's wonderful to keep all the windows open and let the tradewinds blow. My other worry was the lack of a/c (in June) but we had ceiling fans and portable fans in every room, plus the tradewinds blowing, so we were fine.

The beach is just steps away from the condo. Yes, there are sandbags to prevent erosion, but there is plenty of sandy beach to walk and sunbathe on. The water is swimmable. We also went sea kayaking and paddle boarding but I don't think it's a great spot for snorkeling. Kapalua Bay is nearby (good snorkeling - terrible parking.) If you walk next door to the Sands of Kahana resort, their beach shack rents all kinds of gear: kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards. I think the paddle boards were something like $59 an hour, but for $99 you can rent all of those items for four days! A great deal!

The condo itself is easy to settle into. The king mattress is surprisingly comfy for a bed away from home. My friend commented that the Murphy bed was also comfortable as well. Some of the items we found to be helpful: hair dryer, two boogie boards, two beach chairs, beach towels, pool noodles, iron/ironing board, styrofoam cooler, small lunchbox sized cooler, umbrella, Mr. Coffee coffee machine, a bookshelf of books. Keep in mind that these items may change depending on what guests take or break. I know they guarantee the beach towels though. My only constructive criticism is they only give you two thin bars of soap and four rolls of toilet paper. When you're out, you're out. Other than that you will absolutely love your time here. I know I will be back!

Aloha, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Valley Isle Resort and West Maui! All condos are individually owned. Some condos are Time Shares and others ore owner owned. Note to Vacation Rental Travelers: Most all vacation rentals only give you a starter set of TP, coffee, etc. So make sure you stock up on your way to any vacation rental. Most all vacation rentals do stock all linens. Beach towels can go either way. Aloha, Jan Shields Owner 402, Valley Isle Resort Sunshine & Rainbows

We chose this location because of the view from the balcony and we weren't disappointed. We selected #509 and were very happy with the comfort of the furniture and bed. The condo was clean and very well stocked with everything you will need. The owner was very responsive and helpful with our concerns about arriving in Maui during the pandemic.
Parking can be a bit of a challenge when you arrive late at night.
Shopping is very near to this condo and I highly recommend the pizzeria across the street.
We would defiantly stay there again.

Check in process was good. They require your vehicles plate number, make, and model. Parking is plentiful but spaces are narrow. They should widen them a bit. Lobby is nice, open and clean. Grounds are clean and nice looking with plenty of foliage. Elevators are pretty fast but some of the lights on the buttons don't work, and the down light on the 10th floor doesn't light up. Pool doesn't seem heated, not sure they say it is. We had a noisy neighbor one night, quiet hours are 10 pm - 8 am, talked to the front desk the next morning and never had a problem again. Thank you. There are 3 gas grills that are cleaned every day. There is a vegetable and herb garden that is available to anyone staying there. We took advantage of it, thank you Shirley. Beach access is good, there is a hose and shower in the pool area. One near the beach side of the complex would be nice. All in all a great stay here. I would definitely come back.

Aloha, So glad you enjoyed your stay. The pool is heated to 80 or 85 degrees. There is a shower on the opposite side on the beach side but perhaps a bit hard to see with all of our tropical foliage. It is next to that bench on the other side. I will let the resident manager know about the lights on the buttons, thank you for letting me know. He probably already knows and has scheduled the repair people but I will let him know anyway just in case. We do hope you will visit us again! Warmest aloha, Jan Shields

We emailed the owner of Unit 404 on a Sat. to book a 6 night stay. After confirming the condo was available for our dates, we said we were ready to book, & she emailed an informal confirmation & said she would send a formal confirmation, but never did.
Sunday her quote was different than the rate on her website. Monday she emailed asking if we wanted to book & at 10:30am we responded "Yes, we told you we were ready last night." She emailed at 11:00am saying she would work up the confirmation. We did not hear from her for 6 hrs! Her email said she'd been busy getting a TV installed, & would send the confirmation. Then Tues. night, she finally sent a formal confirmation- it had no $$ amounts & only said "6 nights, plus cleaning, tax for both general excise 4% and transient tax 10.25%". We expected it to be itemized, but did the math using the corrected room rate she had given us, but were unable to get the correct total & we asked her about that. The next morning, she sent an email saying "I don't think this is going to be a good match"! She accused us of using the incorrect tax rate (we used what was in her quote), and being indecisive about booking. WTF!! We were trying to be patient, but she had strung us along for over 2 days and then refused to book us!
This was a very frustrating and stressful experience for us. If you book this unit, don't expect a formal confirmation and double check the amounts! Hopefully, it won't happen to you!! We gave avg rating, just to post this.

The resort on the whole was good but lacked any restaurants which we suspect is due to Covid as there is empty retail space on the premises. Our main complaint was house keeping and maintenance. My wife owns a cleaning company and therefore can differentiate between good and poor cleaning jobs. Our unit was equipped with a washer that was left half full of water and didn't work at all and a dryer that would take an hour to dry a T-shirt. The real estate company that books the suites did compensate us somewhat but only after having to go to their offices and complain. The long and short of it is this, for what they are charging for these units they can do better

We stayed in room 1102 (Vacation Internationale). Our room was nicely appointed, with a comfortable bed, a large living room/dining room combination.

The room doesn't have air conditioning, but by opening the sliding door out to the lanai and keeping our bedroom windows open a couple of inches, there is a nice breeze keeping the temperature comfortable.

Edelyn was extremely helpful in securing our reservation the RCI had dropped the ball on!
The resort was excellent we had an ocean front room that was clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay. We watched whales and sea turtles from our lani every morning and evening. We took advantage of the full kitchen to have prepare meals and my the in room washer and dryer helped with not needing to pack as many clothes.

We reserved unit #210 through Vacasa in March of 2023 for 8 days in February 2024 (11 months in advance). The night before our arrival, we received the lock box code and WiFi information as expected. Three hours before our 4:00 PM arrival time, to our surprise, we received a text message and email telling us that the owners had decided to stay in their condo and that we had to find another place to stay. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of places to pick from for 8 days on a few hours notice. Vacasa had no availability and steered us to Airbnb, but most of the places that they had available were $800/night and above. We obviously had no choice and ended up paying an additional $2,000. So we want to alert other potential renters that there may be a risk that the owner of this unit will make a last minute decision to stay in their unit and not honor your reservation.

We have been visiting Maui for over 25 years! As an owner of vacation rentals, I really appreciated the instant feeling of "home" when I arrived. Debbie and Vic picked the perfect location in the building! You cannot beat the sound of the waves (but not too loud) and the cross tradewinds throughout the entire unit. We slept with all the doors open and did not hear a single noise other than the waves. At the end of a busy day in the water, it was so nice to come home, watch the sunset and then relax on the comfy couch watching a movie on the huge big screen tv. We loved it so much we stayed an extra 3 days! Debbie was so easy to work with and responded quickly when needed. We will definitely book again for our next trip!

DO NOT RENT CONDO #1110 - The owner 100% misrepresented the condition of the condo. It was dirty and not clean at all. It looked pristine and perfect in his photos and when we arrived it was filthy. The racks were falling off in the bathroom, the furniture had missing pieces, the walls were covered in filth. We kindly requested a partial refund and a return of the cleaning fee from Joseph. He refused and said people loved his place. We paid top $$$ for this location, and it was a complete dump. The fancy decor was gone and it was in complete disrepair.

Renter beware of this unit - #1110 = Neglected property

Aloha, This summer swells have brought our sands back from the ocean onto the beach. We do have large sandbags at the edge of the beach and you can sit on them and watch the sunset. Most of the sandbags are actually covered up now by the sand. Throughout the summer months we get summer smiles and our beach grows larger. We will be adding reefs to break up the ocean waves. We will also be bringing in more sand unless the ocean beats us to it. We will be rebuilding the restaurant next-door and a nice lobby. This is due to start very soon. I don’t expect your face any loud construction. Aloha, Jan Shields
