We have many privately owned Valley Isle Resort Vacation Rental Condos.
Our resort is in lovely Kahana, a part of Lahaina. Maui is the best island, and the West Coast of Maui is the best part of Maui. We are right in the middle of Maui's West Coast.
We have many amenities such as our heated pool and barbecue area.
When you contact an owner, know they own one or several of the condos in our resort and can refer you to other owners. Also, know that each condo is different and run differently. So make sure you get photo's of the condo you would like.
Also, occasionally this site says we do not have availability. More than likely we most certainly do have availability. Just Google "Valley Isle Resort" and you'll see many of us who have open condos and contact us individually. Valley Isle Resort is used by other companies to get your attention and then they send you to a different page saying we do not have openings.
Check in process was good. They require your vehicles plate number, make, and model. Parking is plentiful but spaces are narrow. They should widen them a bit. Lobby is nice, open and clean. Grounds are clean and nice looking with plenty of foliage. Elevators are pretty fast but some of the lights on the buttons don't work, and the down light on the 10th floor doesn't light up. Pool doesn't seem heated, not sure they say it is. We had a noisy neighbor one night, quiet hours are 10 pm - 8 am, talked to the front desk the next morning and never had a problem again. Thank you. There are 3 gas grills that are cleaned every day. There is a vegetable and herb garden that is available to anyone staying there. We took advantage of it, thank you Shirley. Beach access is good, there is a hose and shower in the pool area. One near the beach side of the complex would be nice. All in all a great stay here. I would definitely come back.…
The view is the only thing noteworthy here. Unit was clean but obviously outdated. Some bugs. Not outta control but I’d rather not deal with any bugs! No a/c… hard to sleep.. you have to leave your windows open to cool down & ppl don’t adhere to the “quiet in hallways” guideline so you hear everything. Nothing special here, just basic. Also a drive to all the better things to do , beaches etc. the access to the beach at this “resort” is virtually useless bc the tide comes up so high here you can’t really enjoy it or lay out, etc. Then it’s annoying & a time zapper to have to try to find parking at the better beaches around. Crowd here seems much older so it’s not a very exciting vibe.
First off the positive! The view was Amazing!! We walked into a very worn and tired unit. It was not clean!! Even the bed skirt was dirty on the queen bed. The bathtub was beyond gross and found hair in a corner of the tub. Floors not clean, tables not clean. Went to get cooking utensils out the drawer and they were dirty, glasses out of the cupboard dirty, I rewashed anything I used out of the cupboards. I let the leasing co., know, and they were very responsive and did have the unit recleaned. There is only so much you can do with a unit that hasn’t been cared for. Tiles missing and things in general in ill repair. Plus got past that then we had roaches! So Gross!! The leasing company brought over roach spray🥺 Then I went to do a load of wash! Washer worked ok but went to use the dryer and it was clunking so bad and getting overheated-I stopped the dryer and hung the clothes to dry. I told the leasing company, I was afraid it would start a fire. Contacted leasing company again…they sent repair people. Said they ordered a part…ok a few days later repair person came back. Left the washer/dryer a little out of the closet. The dryer not fixed, repair person said the complete unit needed to be replaced, but the owner needs to approve the new washer/dryer and it “wouldn’t happen during our stay”. We have been coming to Maui for over 35 yrs., and I can honestly say this is the worse unit we ever stayed in!…
The resort on the whole was good but lacked any restaurants which we suspect is due to Covid as there is empty retail space on the premises. Our main complaint was house keeping and maintenance. My wife owns a cleaning company and therefore can differentiate between good and poor cleaning jobs. Our unit was equipped with a washer that was left half full of water and didn't work at all and a dryer that would take an hour to dry a T-shirt. The real estate company that books the suites did compensate us somewhat but only after having to go to their offices and complain. The long and short of it is this, for what they are charging for these units they can do better
After a 2 year wait to go to Maui due to the pandemic canceling our plans. We were beyond excited to start our restful week on Maui. We rented a 1 bedroom condo at Valley Isle (all rooms have ocean views). At first we were a little bothered by the fact we would be on the first floor. Mostly concerned that our view would be impacted by the sand bags piled just before the beach. However, that wasn't as bad as we had thought it would be and we were able to see the ocean and the nearby islands. The room itself seemed mostly clean and in good shape. Sadly, things just went down from there. Our first clue there might be issues should have been the fortune cookie fortune laying on the floor in the bedroom when we arrived!! We laughed it off -- not exactly thrilled about the full on cleaning they apparently didn't do, but the fact that it was a fortune cookie fortune seemed funny to us. Oh well, on we went. We enjoyed the sunset from our room and the families running around on the lawn outside our patio. We were tired from our travel so we went to bed around 10 ish (which is the start of the quiet hours). There is no AC so we left the bedroom window open for ventilation as the room was pretty warm. We were in room 105 which is located near the elevators in the hallway. Just about every half hour someone noisily walked past the room to the elevators (it was Saturday night after all). They did not realize that every sound they made echoed into our room. The tile floor and the enclosed space made for an echo chamber like no other! It sounded like people were wearing tap shoes as the walked! When they spoke we could hear every word they said. We closed the window in the hopes that would help.... it did not! Now the room was warmer and the noise was just as bad. Adding to the people talking and clacking by, the trash chute must land just behind the elevator because all night long we could hear bottles and other loud thuds as things landed! Beach access is past this room so people going by is pretty much constant. At 7 the next morning - looking like I had been run over by a bus after getting maybe a max of 2 to 3 hours sleep I went to the front desk. The cleaning person in the lobby told me they don't open until 8 (the front desk closes at 5 every evening and opens at 8 -- so no one there to help without a phone call to who knows where). So I waited and returned at 8 on the nose. I explained how bad the noise was and that we desperately needed to be moved to another room! The girl at the desk said "well there is a $50 room change fee" ... which I responded with "we need to pay so we can get a room that we can actually sleep in?" and she said she would see what she could do. As you might guess. NOTHING was done. So we slept in the living room the next night (they had a Murphy bed in there) in an attempt to get some rest and enjoy our vacation. The next day after running into more issues -- 1. the water coming out of the kitchen faucet was pretty much white and tasted nasty (so we went out and bought bottled water), the microwave turntable didn't turn, the light under the microwave didn't work, screen door to the living room and outside patio didn't lock, we had ant type bugs in the bathroom and kitchen sinks, a dead cockroach in the hall to the bathroom, trash being left outside our door, people staying above us moved furniture around constantly (sounded like they only have tile floors in that room maybe?) I went back to the front desk - same girl ... explained the issues. She took some notes and said she would see what she could do. So... again nothing done! We arrived late afternoon on Saturday Oct 1. (explained our problems to the front desk on both Sunday and Monday mornings requesting a new room and got no assistance) I called our timeshare 800 # on Tuesday Oct 4 in the morning and they had us moved later that same day to another place down the road where we were able to finally enjoy our Maui vacation. I gave the Valley Isle resort the 2 star rather than 1 solely based on the location, the well tended grounds and view. If you have reservations at this resort and when you arrive they tell you your room number is 105 -- just turn around and run! The property is aware of the noise issue - I stumbled across other reviews of this room and noise has always been a problem. They need to install indoor/outdoor carpet in this area, put sound proofing around the bedroom, change the window from a slat style to something with sound proofing, put carpet in the living room room above(?) -- as well as the issues with the kitchen and screen door if their customers are at all important to them. …
Amazing views. The staff was great. Nina was the best, she took excellent care of us. Really nice pool. We were able to barbecue in the pool area. Great location. Shops and really good restaurants in walking distance. Loved the pond in the lobby. The turtles were so much fun to watch.
wasn't sure what to expect since I knew this was an older building in Kahana. I shouldn't have worried because the condo was perfect for us. You're looking right out at the water, and can hear the surf crashing 24/7 which is so soothing, especially at night. It's wonderful to keep all the windows open and let the tradewinds blow. My other worry was the lack of a/c (in June) but we had ceiling fans and portable fans in every room, plus the tradewinds blowing, so we were fine. The beach is just steps away from the condo. Yes, there are sandbags to prevent erosion, but there is plenty of sandy beach to walk and sunbathe on. The water is swimmable. We also went sea kayaking and paddle boarding but I don't think it's a great spot for snorkeling. Kapalua Bay is nearby (good snorkeling - terrible parking.) If you walk next door to the Sands of Kahana resort, their beach shack rents all kinds of gear: kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards. I think the paddle boards were something like $59 an hour, but for $99 you can rent all of those items for four days! A great deal! The condo itself is easy to settle into. The king mattress is surprisingly comfy for a bed away from home. My friend commented that the Murphy bed was also comfortable as well. Some of the items we found to be helpful: hair dryer, two boogie boards, two beach chairs, beach towels, pool noodles, iron/ironing board, styrofoam cooler, small lunchbox sized cooler, umbrella, Mr. Coffee coffee machine, a bookshelf of books. Keep in mind that these items may change depending on what guests take or break. I know they guarantee the beach towels though. My only constructive criticism is they only give you two thin bars of soap and four rolls of toilet paper. When you're out, you're out. Other than that you will absolutely love your time here. I know I will be back!…
My husband and I booked Debbie’s condo 404 from mid January- mid February 2022, for our 40th wedding anniversary. She seemed wonderful to work with, and told us from the start that life happens, and she’s good about refunding. “If you cancel before your 60 day payment I will refund your monies…. If you are paid in full, I will refund you any days I can rebook. Any though I have had very few cancellations, they all got their money back…life gets complicated…” Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip four days after the 60 day deadline, due to a cancer diagnosis. Rather than refunding a portion of the $3700 deposit, she stated that she’ll refund us for any of the dates she was able to rebook. We kept receiving emails stating that she will figure out our refund, then she was out of town for two weeks, and the final message reassured us that she had to do her taxes, and will send the refund right afterwards. That was mid March, and we have not received any correspondence since. I’ve reached out, but feel she has now ghosted me! She is not as sincere as she seems, nor is sympathetic towards others, who are going through extremely difficult times. Integrity is being able to look at yourself in the mirror, at the end of the day.…
Loved the resort and condo itself however the customer service at the front desk is terrible…. Went on to ask for directions to the correct building when we got there and they responded with you just have to look….then when we left we needed help with the key lock and again her response was you need to talk to the condo owner we can’t help you
Edelyn was extremely helpful in securing our reservation the RCI had dropped the ball on! The resort was excellent we had an ocean front room that was clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay. We watched whales and sea turtles from our lani every morning and evening. We took advantage of the full kitchen to have prepare meals and my the in room washer and dryer helped with not needing to pack as many clothes.
