Aina Nalu(R) Lahaina by Outrigger(R) is a very special Lahaina hotel, an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Maui's historic Lahaina Town just a short stroll from the art galleries and bistros on colorful Front Street. The award-winning design of these residential-style Lahaina hotel vacation rentals is reflected in appealing details of Asian-inspired room decor, a sleek infinity pool, an elegant poolside pavilion, and cozy garden gazebos. This private hotel condo tucked away in a quiet neighborhood setting is a serene alternative to the Lahaina hotels on the busy waterfront.

We had a great stay. We love the pool and overall charm of the place. Was great for the family. Two bedrooms with dedicated bathrooms, kitchen, wash dryer. We loved the place. Unfortunately it completely burned down when we were there 😪 🙏💔 so sorry for the folks in Lahaina...

We were guests in Ainu Nalu Unit G102 last week. We have been to the island many times as it is our favorite place to go with our family for spring break. Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again, for many reasons. First, we usually stay in Kihei and decided to stay on another side of the island to experience life in Lahaina. The town has lots to offer as far as food and entertainment. It's just not within walking distance of a sunbathing beach. Which we thought we wouldn't mind...but, we did. The pools are nice and a pleasant amenity. Our biggest complaint is----This unit has a cockroach issue!!!!!!! No amount of traps or sprays are going to eradicate them, as far as I am concerned. I literally saw them everyday in the kitchen while we were there (6 days)— not acceptable. And, disgusting. (Side note: We are very tidy tenants & clean up after each meal). I would have included pictures of these disgusting things--but, they move too fast to stop for a photo. We understand that they are part of island living. But, we have stayed in NUMEROUS units on different parts of the island and we have NEVER had an issue like we did with unit. Furthermore, the fact that they charge for parking is LUDICROUS! Each unit has assigned spots — and I am sure that the time share owners pay for those spots with their fees. To charge someone $20 a day is a SCAM and a complete RACKET! Thankfully we found street parking while we were there. But, please know that there isn't a lot of street parking. We just lucked out. And, the fact that you have to go out and buy essentials for the unit to stay for a week is INSANE. They provide a "Starter Kit"...which is a joke. For the amount of money you spend there should be AMPLE supplies on hand. I shouldn’t have to buy toilet paper, trash bags, and dishwasher pods at island prices to stay at unit that refers to itself as a “RESORT”. Unbelievable and again…unacceptable. We will NEVER!!!!!!! stay in this complex again. And, I will not recommend it to friends traveling to the island either. It was overpriced and we were very underwhelmed.

This is the worst hotel/resort we have ever stayed at. Our room was in horribly unclean condition upon our arrival with dirt smeared on both sides of the door and the walls on either side of the entrance. There was a dirty/used razor left on top of the privacy wall of the shower as well. The hotel did send a cleaner to correct some of the issues we identified however there were many things that were missed. The cleaner did her very best to fix the room and was very understanding ,however, it takes more than just one person to correct the failings of a neglectful property management company. Additionally, when we arrived, we were notified by management that the resort was undergoing internal and external fumigation for pest issues the following day and we were to vacate the premises no later than 9:30am. The rooms have 2 window A/C units that are extremely dated and uncomfortably loud making sleep quite difficult. The second bedroom has a portable air conditioner that is even louder. During the cooler nights, we turned the A/C off at which point we discovered you can hear virtually everything happening in the neighbouring unit(s). We ended up packing our bags and leaving to stay in the community of Puamana which completely saved our Maui vacation. Upon checkout, we were informed that several other guests had complained about the state of the rooms. Please please please avoid this place at all costs. The 3 nights we spent here were some of the worst I have ever experienced. Note 1: There are no staff members physically present on the property after 4pm and all members of upper management seem to be working remotely from other islands. If you encounter any issues during the evening hours there is no one available to help you. Note 2: Parking is a mandatory $20 per day. The hotel did not inform us prior to our arrival that this would be the case.

We stayed in unit D 106 at a VRBO managed by Coconut Condos for 6 nights. On our first night the person in the neighbouring condo had his TV on loud tuned to CNN from midnight until 7:00 in the morning. We thought this was a once off. The same thing happened the second night. We called Coconut Condos and they emailed us and told us there was nothing they could do and to just call security. We wanted to talk Coconut Condos on the phone but they have a policy of communicating by email only. We didn’t want to call security. We went to the condo manager’s office on site. She told us the neighbour was an owner and she would speak to him. It turns out the owner has an issue sleeping and can only sleep if the TV is on all night. After the condo manager talked to the owner he did turn down the TV volume during the night. We could barely hear it. In addition, there was no patio or balcony at this unit. The inside was so, so dark. Some of the lights were burned out and the kitchen was hard to use because you could hardly see what you were doing. The range hood light was burned out. We are writing this review to advise and protect others who may consider renting unit D 106 Aina Nalu. Coconut Condos were totally useless in helping resolve this issue and I am sure that the owner still has the TV on every night. VRBO renters - be forewarned.

This place is a scam. They nickle and dime you to death. Their $379 mandatory cleaning fee is outrageous. Then they charge you $20/day for parking. For a weeks stay, that’s an extra $100/day in fees! And the rooms are not that clean. Location is central which is nice, but that’s all it has going for it. If you have a problem with your room, you can only reach them by email. There is no one on site to help you. There are better places to stay in Maui.

The young lady at Aina Nalu Condo, check-in office was very helpful and gave us lots of local information about the complex and surrounding Countryside. There were a bunch of swimming pools scattered around the property, but we were not interested in getting a tan as we live near the beach in southern California. We did not require any special views just a clean self-contained apartment close to Lahaina’s busy world famous “Front Street”. This second-floor 2-bedroom 2 bath condo had everything we wanted, kitchen wi-fi and air-conditioning, and a nice coffee shop around the corner. But best of all it was just a short walk from a friendly Lahaina sports bar, that stayed open late, unlike the rest of the town. The grounds were well maintained and full of colourful plants and giant bamboo, there was parking but it came at an extra price, so we parked on the street. TIP: There are 5 ways to get from Kahului Airport (OGG) to Aina Nalu condos in Lahaina, by bus, taxi, car, Town car, or shuttle. (Bus Line 40, line 20 bus, 2 half hours $4:00 stops outside condo) Please would you give a thumbs up below if you found this review informative? Thank you.

The Aloha and hospitality is way beyond expectations and honestly the best experience I've had. Leeann of Itrip Vacations Maui made the experience of booking very easy and communication was amazing. Aina Nalu, unit H105 is located right in the heart of Historical Lahaina town. This place is Extremely immaculate and it felt like home. The decor were of great quality and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully loaded and equipped with everything. This beautiful unit is very spacious and comes with a lot of amenities. Everything that was described on the website and a lot of personal touches by the owners that made it very special. It's a block away from lots of shops, restaurants, movie theaters and The Lahaina Boat Harbor. All within walking distance. Definitely, highly recommended and I look forward in returning soon.

Celebrated our 30th anniversary with friends with a trip to Maui. We rented a VRBO thru Michelle and could not have been happier with the service we received. We had a room full of fellows who were having a very good time and wanted us all to know about it. They were quickly dealt with and shut down. Having Front St only 2 blocks away was very convenient. The pools were nice and clean, and the staff seemed friendly. I highly recommend this resort to you!

Instead of staying at an expensive hotel, this property is perfect for traveling with family and feeling more at home. While it's not on the beach, it's within walking distance and super close to downtown Lahiana. The condo's are nicely laid out, have great amount of space and bathrooms. The in-unit laundry is always nice. The property has two pools, and a hot tub. There are free cabanas to use, which are a first-come first-serve basis. Lovely property overall!

What a perfect place for those who want to be close in to Lahaina town. It is a 5 minute walk to the docks for boat excursions, and to restaurants and shopping on Front Street. It is quiet, beautifully maintained and has two nice pools. Great for individuals, couples and families with children.
