Absolutely lovely resort that seamlessly connects its guests to both the Hawaiian culture and the beauty of the beach & ocean. Even during this horrible pandemic, it’s easy to relax and unwind in a setting as idyllic as Nanea presents to its guests. Everywhere we went in the resort the staff has been full of aloha and willing to help us have a wonderful stay. From Donald working at the pool house to Bon helping us out as a server by the pool to kind Matt taking food orders at Mauka Makai, we have been treated with kindness, genuine warmth and hospitality. Our stay began when we worked with Journey at the concierge desk to get our Owner’s Welcome “stuff” and plan a sunset cruise. She was extremely easy to talk to, immediately made us feel welcome and easily helped us schedule our boat trip. Throughout our lengthy stay, the resort and staff has had to make adjustments due to changes in the local pandemic rules. In addition, they are obviously working with a short staff, but the people who work here are doing everything they can to make your stay one to remember and dream about when you depart. From our villa we have a glorious view of the beach, ocean & Lanai in the distance. We have been enjoying the live music from the poolside bar on some afternoons and can also hear the mostly Hawaiian music playing throughout the day. It’s truly awesome to have so many choices of places to relax! We had only one issue while we were relaxing by the pools at Nanea. There were no cushions on any of the chaise lounges by the swimming pools. We know that, in the past when we’ve been here, the resort did have cushions which make lying on the hard lounges so much more comfortable. We don’t know why they would have been taken away as this is the one thing that stood out as a negative for us. We did notice that Nanea’s sister resorts, the Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Villas North & South, located next door, both still had cushions on their chaise lounges both by their pools and on those placed out on their lawns. This was a curious deficiency and we sincerely hope the cushions will reappear when we return. We spoke to other owners who felt the same way too.

We are owners at the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas. We also own in the Westin Ocean Villas North flex program. We have owned at the Westin Ocean Villas North as deeded property since 2007 and just switched over to their flex program. We stayed at the Nanea propery for the first time from 8/30/21 to 9/10/21. This resort is 6 years old. We stayed in a one bedroom, island view. The villa was very spacious. The bathroom has a standard tub/shower combo with one grab bar and a towel rack. We should have looked at this feature closer as my husband is handicapped and this type or shower is difficult for him. Will know for next time. While the villa was quite clean, the rugs needed some attention. We had to request a new toaster, coffee maker, and knife block. The toaster would not toast bread, the coffee maker would not make the amount of water put in, and the knives in the block were all so dull they did not cut anything. The scissors in the block were rusted shut. We found out all the Westin resorts here sub-contract out their pool services to a company called Aqualani when I inquired as to why the rules around the pool with regards to using towels to save unoccupied chairs was not being enforced. I was informed by the Aqualani manager there it was the responsibility of the Resort Security until 8:00 a.m. I asked to speak to a manager at the resort. That same day Samoa from Security contacted me to inquire about my concerns. Samoa was wonderful and very professional. She listened intently and wrote things down. She then asked to read them back to me so she could report them correctly. She had me meet with the Resort Pool Manager, Glenn. He was also very professional, respectful, and listened intently to what I had to say. Within 24 hours all of the problems in our villa were corrected and Aqualani began doing their job around the pool. We also had the please of chatting with a Security Officer, Marissa. She was absolutely delightful. Samoa, Glenn, and Marissa had and shared the Aloha spirit we have come to know and love about vacationing in the islands. We plan on returning to the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas next year. I am optimistic and hope to see Glenn, Samoa, and Marissa again. They are the type of employees who are an asset to a company.

Overall a very nice resort! Service and people were friendly. However, if you don't want to be around children this is not the resort for you!! Absolutely a family resort. The rooms were a nice size. We had the 3 BR which was supposed to oceanview with a balcony. (Room 1114). Make sure you DO NOT get this room!! It was barely oceanview as it really did not have a balcony but more of a ground-floor terrace! See photos. Also, It was right next to the room that they used for the time share tours of the resort so there was no privacy on your "terrace" most of the day as tours came through roughly every half an hour. Beach was nice and there were plenty of lounge chairs although the Westin right next door had cushions on the chairs and this one did not. I am not sure why. If it wasn't for having this particular room, it would have been a much nicer vacation.

Just Got home and this a cautionary post They Westin sent us a stay (assuming bc we are bonvoy members) super cheap This resort (with a COVID OUTBREAK in Hawaii) is not ok The pool was full of drinking adults and children unmasked There is only one small Adult plunge pool (20 x 20) so with COVID maybe 6 people max this resort is not set up for adult travelers wanting peace and quiet the food at the resort is not palatable and of course over priced the time share pitch was a Ponzi scheme at best - they had no coherent explanation what they were selling ?? property? points - it made no freaking sense - and the math was atrocious (in terms of value) so regardless of the price this is a NO would never recommend the beach was nice and the room (in spite of looking at the parking garage) was nice
