We had a deluxe ocean view corner room and our view was amazing! Great pool and hot tub area - large enough to comfortably accommodate guests. Beach in front of the hotel is sufficient but the boardwalk will take you to other beaches close by as well as restaurants. There was construction on the beach; however, the construction operating times were minimal. The water features by the pool drown out the sound of the construction! All staff interactions were great. I will return to this resort.
We had a great stay and I can't wait to come back and stay here again soon! Very nice and clean rooms with excellent view of pool and ocean. Great location and when the beach restoration is done it will be perfect.
The resort needs a lot of updating, the rooms are very tired and not very clean, missing curtains on some of the windows. No valet. No table service restaurant like they used to have. No pool drink service.
The rooms have NO "kitchens". Only one small "fast food" eating facility on property. The food offerings for a 400+ room facility need to be more diverse...NO Vegan friendly meals are offered. It is NOT difficult to provide food offerings that are vegan compatible.
I'd rate it a zero if possible. The only good thing about this hotel are the staff. Sadly they are very understaffed. Services are limited. Parking is a nightmare. Room was filthy. And bed was like sleeping on springs
My experience at Kaanapali Beach Club resort was not a pleasant. The day we arrived we were told to stop at the concierge desk for a welcome gift, we went there and I wish I would have never went there. The first lady we spoke was a nice lady she offered us a good deal on activities if we attend their time share presentation. The second day we decided to go back and book some activities at a discounted price in exchange for our time on a timeshare presentation. The second lady was very rude and was saying not nice things about previous lady. She said that the deals that the previous lady offered us were not real deals and that she can offer us other deals. Well since we were there already and I didn’t want to come back, we decided to stay and listen to what she had to offer. She offered us ok deals and we decided to book two activities. After 2 hours spent at the concierge we booked 2 activities, she ran our credit card and gave us the itinerary. We got up and ready to leave, then she asked us how did we book the hotel and I told her that I was a travel agent and I booked through my agency. Then she immediately said “oh you don’t qualify for our timeshare presentation” and canceled our activities. When I asked her if there will be some compensation for my time spent at the concierge desk, her answer was “ no compensation, I am done with you”. Based on my experience with the concierge I would recommend you to think twice before accepting any “good deals” from them. Regarding the hotel: it was on OK hotel, it was clean but really old. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant and their bar had small drink selection. To get to the beach you have to walk all the way around the hotel because the hotel built a sand wall and you can’t walk straight to the beach. On the beach there were signs placed all over to let you know that is not safe to swim due to strong currents. There are no beach chairs on the beach. Also this side of the island is most of they time windy, we traveled every day to a different side of the island to be able to enjoy a beach day. I would not come back to this hotel, I was very disappointed with the way how they treated us.…
We had an excellent stay at the Ka'anapali Beach Club. The pool / hot tub / pool bar were all fantastic. Our room overlooked the ocean and was very clean and accommodating for our needs. This is a Timeshare facility, but they were gracious when we said we were not interested in getting a "door bracelet", which meant going to the presentation. Overall it was a great stay. Not a big beach in front of the hotel, but still adequate. Less then 10 minutes drive to the Whalers Shopping Village and probably 15 minutes to Lahaina. There was a big area of food trucks on a lot in front of the hotel which was very convenient and a grocery store across the street. I would totally stay here again.
Everything was great accept the sales presentation, as a longtime owner I deserved better treatment. I was told I would be receiving one thing but it was not in the paperwork. When I needed help to understand or cancel nobody was around and nobody would help me
Cons - After arriving after a long flight, we were greeted at desk and then promptly ushered to the concierge who asked if needed reservations or assistance. We only wanted to get to our room and rest! The room we had needed a new mattress but otherwise was fine. The interior halls of the complex are institutional to the point of a prison look- pink walls and white railings. The restaurant is take out only since COVID. There is no beach to speak of directly on premises but there are nice ones in driving distance nearby. Driving to other points on the island involved traffic. There aren't too many restaurants nearby to choose from. Pros - The club is average. The exterior has great ambiance. The staff is nice. The food even though takeout was good and menu was basic. Staying closer to midpoint or further on island would be better if one plans to do day trips and not want spend time at pool or nearby beaches. …
The location is stellar, the rooms are great, my view was AMAZING, and the pool, spa, massage, bar / restaurant, gardens, ponds, waterfalls area all incredible and the hospitality was awesome...However, the Hotel itself does need a bit of a 'pick me up' by being updated with a little paint, updated flooring to get it out of 1980's and the valet brought back. Other than those minor things, I would highly recommend 100x over.
