Great see all the amenities that you would expect from a Marriott brand. Great concierge‘s on site for any excursions you’d want to make the Kaanapali side of the island golf courses are close by and only a 45 minute drive or so to wailea plenty of restaurants both in Kapalua all the way down to Lahaina, so no problem finding places to eat or drink. Pool area was plentiful with seating and not a huge hassle to get chairs. Nice friendly staff, we’ve stayed here before and likely will again. Nice updated rooms in building 4.
Perfect location, variety of room choices. We’ve been here quite a few times, the last two time we chose ‘resort view’ ocean front rooms. Great views of the water & Molokai. This trip we awoke to a mother and baby whale about 100 yards off shore & watched from our balcony. The accommodations are great, and with the resort view rooms there is private parking lot. Huge difference from having to walk to the front & wait for valet. The staff have always been friendly, esp housekeeping. We’ve tried a few different resorts from Wailea to Kaanapali -this is our favorite-especially during whale season.
This was by far the worst over promise, under deliver I have ever experienced. After multiple phone calls before making the reservation, and multiple phone calls after making the reservation, what we were promised wasn't even close to what was delivered when we checked in. And no alternatives were given, it was a take it or leave it scenario. And to top it off our rooms were not cleaned every night. At these prices you have some base level of service, expectation and necessary cleanliness. None of those were met.
Great beachfront property on Maui. A little dated. Hard to navigate the many buildings, but very family friendly. A lazy winding pool with a small slide, wee hot tub, many kids and one of the best beaches in Maui in front. Pricy drinks and okay food, but there are a number of great restaurants in the area. Forget leaving sunglasses or floaties behind if you rent a cabana. There is no lost and found, but on balance a great place to stay with kids if you don't mind Maui pricing.
Worked very hard to get Marriott platinum status. Marriott status ignore by Staff. . Had suite nights, denied. Status upgrade request also denied. It even appeared that several upgraded rooms/suites were not occupied. They truly only wanted to fill oceanfront and upgraded rooms to full pay guests regardless of status.. Hotel clearly does not care about your Marriott status, so don’t book here if you want to be recognized for your loyalty. Have never been slighted at other Marriott properties like this before. Would have gone elsewhere if we had known that they would have disregarded and ignored our status. Room had worn and damage furniture and was small. Do better Sheraton Maui to honor loyalty! Again, do not book here if you want your status recognized in any respect!
We came to Maui for our honeymoon /anniversary. I must say for the money the am entire charge parking is a joke.the service in sandbar last night of our stay I needed a sprite so I walked up to the bar .bartender did not say hello can I help you I had money out waited to make sure he was not helping anyone before I asked if I could purchase a soft drink he did a little stretch not even looked me or anything crawled under the bar door heads off to the kitchen playing on his phone .so I left to come write this very crappy review the guy in covered parking at the gate was rude loose tiles on patio room next to us is storage with guys working over patio in flower bed making all kinds of noise .this place is a joke totally over priced we had one okay meal from sandbar never spent another dime in hotel.next time its air bnb this all looks fancy but a$100 a day extra to be treated like we don't belong keep your Aloha!cause IL be taking my $$else where so I don't have to watch sorry employees.who play on there phones and walk off like your peasants!and then the deal on the beach with the drunken girl and about 20 kids with a bong smoking weed with kids right there and security should have called police and 911 for the girl .but I'm sure they didn't want to alarm the rest of the resort.as security talking with some of the kids knuckle bumping with some and let them kids start turning to our rooms flipping guy up from me off knowing we called office them.your guys sure run a classy resort .That's a joke .this all happened weekend of march 4 2023.the views are great rooms average.disappointed in triple AAA as well for referring this high dollar average hotel.…
In 2021 we spent 4 weeks at the Sheraton building 6 and found it to be absolutely excellent. So much so that in 2022 we stayed another 4 weeks in building 6 and invited our two daughters to spend a week with their families at the hotel at our expense. Now in 2023 we are again in building 6 and have needed to close the doors due to the smoke from pot for a second time. A call to guest services this evening was met with a polite, security is investigating. We aren’t the only ones complaining this evening I was told. Twice today we have been intimated by two groups of 6 more young adults on the property who appear not to be guests of the hotel. The first group was ready to force us off the pathway and the second group of probably eight made us decide we could wait for the next elevator by the pool area. This second group we saw about 30 minutes later exiting the hotel parking lot. Security was visible last year, not so this year. I’m 75 and my wife is 73 so maybe it is just us and our concerns about personal safety. Friends of our are staying farther down the beach at the Alii and hotel staff check to make sure guests and visitors have the appropriate wristband to enter on to the property.…
My wife & I recently returned from vacation on Maui (2/2 – 2/17/23). We stayed at three resorts while there. The Sheraton is situated on the Kaanapali beach promenade within walking distance to Whaler’s Village. Of the three resorts we stayed at, the Sheraton was by far the best. Because we have some status with Marriott, we were given a nicely appointed ocean-front room. Nothing fancy but had a beautiful view of Kaanapali Beach, Black Rock, and Lanai Island. Because it was birthing season, from our balcony we could see whales frolicking off the coast. We also qualified for a complimentary continental breakfast but choose to pay for the upgraded buffet each day of our stay. I am glad we did because it included an omelet station and many other food options. No need for lunch! Sheraton’s staff were courteous and attentive. For the duration of our stay, they also waived the parking fee. Our concierge, Susan, handled arrangements for a Teralani catamaran sunset dinner cruise. The dinner cruise was probably the highlight of our trip. Walking distance from the resort, good food (drinks included), friendly crew, and up-close viewing of mama & baby whales jumping around.…
We absolutely loved our stay at Sheraton Maui. We researched where to stay and we picked here. Perfect views, perfect beach. I will advise future vacationers to realize that if you choose Building 6 as we did, you will have a long, 10 minute long walk to any restaurant on the premises, the lobby, and the beach. Its a journey that we joked about with other guests. Its confusing But that said if you go with the attitude its a little different, its all good. Also aim for a second floor or higher room in building 6. I found our room to be great. Fairly updated bath facilities, carpet seemed a bit dated. Still we saw whiles every day in February, good temperatures and fun luau at the Sheraton.
WOW, just WOW!! My husband and I just returned from Maui and stayed at the Sheraton for the first time. We’ve been going to Maui for 23 years and decided to try the Sheraton and were blown away. We were upgraded to an ocean view room, the food was amazing, snorkeling right at Black Rock was amazing, the pools were great and service throughout the resort was spectacular. Whales were swimming by right out from our lanai! There is a Starbucks breakfast kiosk in the lobby that has a great selection of quick breakfast items & coffee if you don’t want the full breakfast in the restaurant. Food around the pool bars was really good too. We did not try the restaurant for dinner as we were out & about. Our room was spacious with an amazing ocean view (a surprise upgrade), the bed was very comfortable, air-conditioning was nice and quiet and the bathroom was beautiful. The only thing that was missing was a safe in our room in the Moana building. This resort has become our new “go to” in Maui.…
