Hi! I’d like to start by stating that I did not stay in this location, however, I did have a very negative encounter with the owner, Jim. I emailed as I was interested in renting the home as I got married in Maui last month. I simply inquired about booking and Jim went off on a rant in regards to how he’s had terrible experiences with wedding parties and would never invite them back. He was very rude! I agree that this isn’t a good fit for us and couldn’t imagine every booking someone who was so rude right off the bat. I cannot believe this individual is in business being so rude during the booking process! In addition, here were some of his outrageous house rules: 0 guests - so if my grandma wanted to visit me, that wasn’t allowed. Another rule was turning off the AC when out of the house - I typically do this anyway as I am an overall conscious person but being charged if I forgot to do so is simply insane! I recommend everyone stay away!!

A group of 3 coworkers and myself rented this property for a week and had a wonderful time! The property is perfectly located near restaurants and the beach and is exceptionally well maintained. It was a bonus for us that the owner lives on the property and was quick to respond to any questions we had. Jim was also very helpful in arranging activities that we were interested in. We rented the entire property for just the 4 of us but it could easily accommodate 6 or 8 more. I would highly recommend this property!

It was a perfect venue for us! Separate units for each family group meant babies could wake and not disturb others, and large communal kitchen, living area and terrace gave us plenty of space together. The facilities are first class, kitchen with all you could require, living area with music ,books TV , games etc. There were ceiling fans and aircon in each space. (It was hot in Maui). Outside pool area had 2 BBQs and lots of pool toys. We were close to Lahaina but needed a car. Some walked into the town but we are a pretty active lot. Swimming at Baby Beach alongside turtles was a highlight and again it's not far away. This was a really memorable holiday for us and Jim was very helpful both at the booking stage and in making us welcome.

Eight adults, six kids, ideal place for our family get together. Kids loved the pool. The hose was large enough for privacy if you wanted it The two BBQ helped. We cooked most of our meals out in the patio on the BBQs..Close to Lahaina. Everybody had a great time. We will be back. Jim the owner was excellent.

We had a fabulous time utilizing Wai Ola as our "base of operations" to explore Maui. We had 11 guests from 2 generations of 2 families. We rented the entire property, 4 suites and the common area and it was perfect for us. The owner, Jim, was always available and accommodating. The large common family room and kitchen were ideal for the whole group to meet and make meals and drinks, as well as coordinate or relive the day's activities. The house has everything you need - beach towels, toys, umbrellas etc, washer & dryer (with detergent), wifi, and most importantly - an unlimited supply of fresh coffee beans with grinders/coffee makers in each suit and the main kitchen! The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained and perfect for relaxing after an arduous day mountain biking down the Skyline Trail on Haleakala.
