This place is exactly what we needed for our relaxing vacation. As 2 older adults (66 & 62) we did not want a big resort. What we found in Napili Kai is Hawaii vibe of days gone by, spectacular room with view of the bay, the nicest staff from the housekeepers, front desk, restaurant, equipment rental. Everyone we encountered has the spirit of Aloha. The food was really good, and the happy hour prices for the quality food were outstanding. The history of this place is amazing and a book is in each room with the story of the place. Everyone we talked to had been there before, then we ran into a couple who had been coming there for 40 years. We did a lot of the activities but most enjoyed sitting on our balcony watching the bay at all times of the day. Easy access to the beach, kind and wonderful people. The last day there was the first day of the closures due to the coronavirus. We left just in time but will go back next year. Mahalo to Napili Kai for restoring our souls.

My wife and I have been to Maui many times over the years (since 1988) and always thought it would be nice to stay at Napili Kai on the beach. So for our 50th anniversary, we booked a week thru Costco Travel, March 3-10. We got a great package deal with room, air fare, car, welcome Mai Tai's, and a full daily breakfast for 2 . We booked an ocean view studio which was a huge full ocean view room with a well equipped kitchenette. The grounds were very well maintained and the staff was outstanding. The Sea House restaurant was excellent and the portions were huge. My only complaint is that the Mai Tai's were a little over priced at $14, but that's the way it is at other places also. We had a fabulous stay and would go back again.

I booked this through Costco and thought it was a pretty good deal. When we arrived to the destination, we had a nice enough room but decided to upgrade. The new location was right on the edge of the water. The room had a kitchen area with granite counter tops and nice appliances. The view was spectacular. There was a pool right under our lanai that we were the only ones to use. There was a nice little rocky trail near the waters edge. Snorkeling is great there too! The Sea House Restaurant had great food, but was a little small and did not have a view from all areas of the restaurant. We walked over to the Ritz Carlton along the water. We watched a children show of Hawaiian dance culture which was absolutely wonderful. All in all, would recommend this place. Can't wait to go back!!

We booked a place in Kihei that was terrible and had to find another up to our standards. When we stumbled on Napili Kai we were blown away! This place makes we want to come back over and over again! The room was upgraded with a killer view, it’s an older place but was spotless and well equipped. The on-site restaurant was good, the staff was great and you can’t beat the free use of snorkel gear for use in beautiful Napili bay. Mahalo Napili Kai for such a great stay

The first time I went to Maui I stayed at a nice resort but didn't get the attraction. Going back this time, I stayed at Napili Kai first and loved it so much, I finally understood the big deal! Beautiful (somewhat secluded) beach, an amazing view from the rooms, friendly staff, and good food that's reasonably priced! If you're looking for a crowded, fancy resort where they bring you overpriced drinks, this is not the place. It was quiet and calm and the pools are simple but everything you need. I spent two nights here and then moved to Grand Wailea and HATED it! I missed the friendliness, the area, the view and the entire vibe of Napili Kai. My one wrinkle is that I wasn't getting hot water in the shower - it was warm, but I'm someone who likes it really hot - and they had someone come up right away. They said they would repair but I was about to leave anyway but I really hope they do because I cannot wait to come back! I traveled with friends who are very picky and was so worried they wouldn't like it and everyone LOVED this place! One group even canceled their other reservation at Westin and returned to Napili Kai!
