Wonderful place to stay for big family trips. Plenty of room for us, two kids, and grandmother in one unit with other family staying in another unit. Great location next to a park with a beach my kids loved and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Will definitely stay here again.
My wife and I just stayed here last week for spring break and absolutely love the location and view. The bed was comfortable... having a kitchen was awesome... looks like newer bathroom fixtures and a nice hot shower. Living room and deck have awesome views and the location is great! The property also has laundry facilities and boogie boards and books to borrow. Nice to be off the beaten path away from the giant resorts... but within walking distance to their restaurants and stores. Several other closer shops and restaurants also just blocks away and turtles everyday at the Hale Kai private beach front seen from the deck. The property manager and staff were all friendly and loved having the pool right there overlooking the ocean! Even saw some whales in the distance several days. Great and relaxing experience!…
I don't even want to write a good review, cause I want you all to stay away and have it for myself. When it says Lahaina, that's misleading. It's two full free exits past Lahaina in Honoapiilani. My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom here, and I cant wait to return. I felt most like a local and not some touristy trap. We rented a one bedroom, slept 2 only, on bottom floor. Local markets and shopping right across the street, all walking distance. The Island Market style ABC store is a ways down, we drove there. What another posted said about no view on the bottom, they're wrong. Our view right out to the pool and ocean was ah-mazing. I'd leave those blinds open 100% of the time if the husband let me. No privacy though from others using the pool and walking by, you're right there. I liken it to a Melrose place sized community. You're all facing the pool, there's no fencing between your door and the outdoors, just small side walls. Community BBQ available, and super private usable beach. Your small beach is for your condo complex and the neighboring. First week in January, and I saw 3 other people out there the whole week. There is coral when you walk out, but it's a nice shallow shelf you can walk around, snorkel (turtles do show up), or just float. Its typical West side windy in the afternoons. The building is definitely older, like 60's. Some of the condos are super updated, the one we stayed in was updated and still had that old feel. I HIGHLY recommend any of the units facing directly towards the ocean, the ones where you see the ocean in the distance are on the side facing a public park, and they're not any cheaper for the lack of great view. Face the pool/ocean or go home :)…
This is a great budget condo. The lanai is not as private as we like because both sides are open to the neighbours on either side and the pool is elevated so sunbathers on the pool deck seem very nearby. They kind of spoil the beautiful view but we hung towels to give them and us a little more privacy. Since the pool is elevated the rooms below on the first floor have no view at all - definitely glad we were on the 2nd floor. We could watch the sunset behind Lanai from our lanai. The walls are thick so didn't hear the neighbours. The surf was very loud during our whole stay so that helped. Everyone is friendly and the office manager is very helpful. The mattress is very soft and the traffic noise from the road is very loud - even the surf didn't drown it out. The kitchen came with everything we needed except there was no sugar, tea or coffee - only salt and a few other leftovers. We loved the location but the park next door was always busy even though it was much too wavy to snorkel. Only saw one whale far far out in the distance. We will stay here again if we have the chance because the price was great. The free internet worked great. There's paid laundry beside the office. We didn't use the pool or BBQ's. There was a beach bag and some boogie boards and beach chairs in the closet but no snorkeling equipment. We didn't need or miss airconditioning.…
We had a very nice time here and would definatly come again , no airconditioning but it wasnt needed ,there was always good airflow . I coud see some people saying it needed to be updated but me personally I liked the rustic feel to the place .I would definatly come again but I would contact the owners directly if I could . The site I went through VRBO took approximately $190 from me that I wasn't expecting for using there site . It was a great vacation . If the owners read this please attach your contact info ,thanks .
We are leaving this gem today regrettably but all good things come to an end. This was a return visit having stayed here in October 2018. We had a upper floor ocean view Condo #215 this year, last year #217, and for the two of us it is perfect. This was our third trip to Maui, and we to say it is an idyllic location is an understatement. The Condo's are kept in excellent condition, the grounds and pool are perfect, Valarie the Manager and her team are great to deal with, nothing is too much trouble. we hope to return some day, and would book this Condo again. Upper Floor, Ocean View is the way to go
The view from the patio is wonderful. However, the unit needs a lot of work and a deep cleaning. The bathroom was dirty and the dishes in the cabinets were also dirty (pictures submitted). The door to the bedroom, which was damaged to start with, did not have a handle that worked so when the breeze closed the door I was trapped in the bedroom. The office had to climb over the next door balcony and come in through the patio to get me out. They had to pry the door open. Without any air conditioning, sleeping was very difficult. It was nice to be able to snorkel just outside the pool but little else was enjoyable.
We noticed small drops of blood on the sheets and thought it was strange but didn’t think more of it until more spots kept showing up each day. My husband then realized it was likely bed bugs. He pulled the sheets away to discover more blood marks on the bed shirt and other bedding. We were offered a different condo to stay in for our last night; however, we were so disgusted we booked a different accommodation. Our last 24 hours of our Hawaiian vacation were spent frantically packing up all of our belongings, dealing with maintenance and the rental manager, throwing away all of our food we had purchased for dinner and breakfast (our new accommodations didn’t have a kitchen), finding new accommodations, moving to a different hotel and getting situated there. NOT how we’d intended to spend our last day. Additionally, when we returned home we had to throw away all of our luggage and spend the time carefully laundering all of our clothes and cleaning all our other items. The rental manager said that they checked the place the next day and there were no bed bugs; however, I don’t think anyone should be staying in that unit until things are fully cleaned and replaced. We received no compensation or refund for any of the issues or costs that were incurred. The overall condition of the unit was poor compared to the other units we saw. It needed a really deep cleaning. Rather than taking the feedback, the rental manager stated that “it was the end of busy season and they all needed to be deep cleaned.” Which, again, I don’t think was the case as other unit looked to be in better condition. The overall location of the complex was great and staying on the second floor facing the ocean was a great view. I wish we had a better experience with this particular unit because we really did like the complex. I’d recommend just selecting a different unit. …
This is a great place to stay for many reasons. The location is wonderful, not too far from Lahaina. The views of the ocean or excellent. And the people who manage the property are friendly and helpful and eager to do what they need to do to make your stay very comfortable. Oh, and if you like rainbows, you will see many of them just like this one.
One of few west Maui locations with pool and on the water. I cannot imagine a better view.. This is in a local atmosphere rather than a place where sample local atmosphere. Real Hawaii. We would come back
