My husband and I returned to Maui Hill for 9 nights in February, a great time to be away from the midwest. We love the condos there. While an older development, built in the early 80s, I believe, it is incredibly well kept up and the landscaping is lovely. The architect was a genius, designing a large condo development with many smaller individual buildings in which there are only a few units, and despite there being a lot of people there, one rarely feels that there's a crowd. We hardly ever saw or heard our neighbors. Our unit is on the second floor and it has a view of the ocean in the distance from the lovely lanai. Many of the lanais are furnished only with basic lounge chairs and a table with vinyl strapped chairs. They work to sit on, but aren't terrific. Our lanai in Unit 16 has a terrific lanai with comfy chaise lounges with cushions and very comfortable swivel chairs around an attractive table. I had my lunch out there every day and it is quite lovely. It's terrific having modified maid service, more like staying at a hotel than at a condo. I love getting fresh towels whenever I want them, and they also clean the units about every four days or so. In between, they supply towels, offer to change sheets on the beds, and empty the garbage. The units have very well supplied kitchens and are very roomy, most with two bathrooms. While not luxurious, they are attractive and comfortable. The atmosphere is very friendly and we really feel at home there. The prices are high, but one gets a lot for the price. Maui Hill is also very well situated at the far south end of Kihei, a busy tourist town on the south end of the island...just south of Maui Hill is Wailea, where there are some high end hotels and condos, restaurants and shopping. I love taking walks into Wailea, and we dined at a number of the wonderful restaurants in the area. We've explored renting at other condo developments in the area, and there are a few units available at less expensive rates, but those don't include any services such as towels or cleaning, and often the units are either darker or less roomy. We love returning to Maui Hill year after year.

Maui Hill has a great location. It is at the southern end of Kihei and is perfect for nice walks in the morning. It’s close to the beach and shops. The condos are spacious and the pool area has a lot of tables and chairs. We are returning guests and already have plans to return next year.

Was able to stay at Maui Hill the last week of January using an RCI exchange. I was greeted by a friendly, helpful front desk staffer and check in was a breeze. My one bedroom unit was very large, comfortable, extremely clean, and well-stocked with everything that we needed, even two beach chairs and an umbrella. Our check in process was smooth. We came at an uncertain time right after the Lahaina wildfires as we weren’t able to cancel our stay and the Wailea area was not affected. The staff was welcoming and told us to come to support their business. Some other tourists that were checking in were extremely rude and the staff handled it with such grace! We had a 1BR 2B unit and it was a very large size. Traditional Hawaiian interior with granite countertops. Everything was supplied for the kitchen and there was a large fridge and freezer. The only downside was that there was bugs which we did tell the front desk about which was not a big deal to us as bugs are common in Hawaii but I know it might not be ok for someone else . They offered a solution to treat the unit but we didn’t want any that done while we’re staying there as we had small kids. Beds were comfortable. Unit was clean. They provided soap. Laundry/dryer was also in the unit. They do not provide bath amenities like shampoo and conditioner for timeshare units which was a little inconvenient as if I knew ahead of time I would have packed it. Most timeshares we stay at, provide that even at private house/condo rentals. Other than that it was great. Resort is always maintained and clean. They had live music and drinks/snacks at the pool on one of the evenings and the pool area is gorgeous. We had a great week and enjoyed the most of what we could at that time for our first time in Maui. Hotel had displaced residents from Lahaina as well and was collecting supplies and food for donations. Christy and Rosa were very informational and sweet!

I’ll start with the good of then go to the bad. The good - unit had a view of the ocean and the beds were comfortable. Bad it’s the first timeshare I’ve stayed in that didn’t provide toiletries beyond a small bar of hand soap. Would it kill them to put a couple of tide pods in the unit to allow for one load of laundry. $3. Per day to use the in room safe. Issued a beach towel and told I didn’t have to return it clean - seriously. And the pool was closed …. The renovation was behind. FYI the pool looks a lot bigger in the pictures than it is in reality. Someone else mentioned this in a prior review the AC units were at a set temperature you couldn’t adjust them up or down and they were on timers - you turned the dial for how much time. They worked well but you’d freeze turn it off get hot turn it back on.

We have been undergoing extensive renovations to our pool which has been advertised on travel sites and with RCI. Unfortunately, the renovations have extended beyond the planned completion date, and we apologize for any inconvenience this unforeseen circumstance has caused you. We do have laundry soap available in the office for the use of our guests, and while we find that guests usually prefer to use their own toiletries, we are happy to provide additional amenities in the office as well. We only wish you had brought it to our attention that the air conditioner in your unit was not operating to your satisfaction while you were staying with us; we would have had maintenance immediately attend to adjust it to your needs. The location is excellent and the overall stay was very comfortable. The bed linen was spotlessly clean, the mattresses were very good and the overall sleep quality was excellent. The AC's worked well and unit was very well stocked with various types of utensils. The facilities overall in the entire complex are good and if you need any assistance the staff will try their best to accommodate your requests. The unit is a little a dated and could do with a little modenisation.

We booked this through RCI as it was a gold crown resort. We were given a condo in the back side of the resort which has no views. We looked into a private residence and they could see directly into the bedroom and living area. The condo itself was dated but very spacious. We were on the first floor and you can hear everything going on above you. The issue I have is how can this be a gold crown resort, the timeshare guests do not receive any shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Thank god we got some soap because we were in need of showers upon arrival. They are also not given cleaning service except for one time during the stay which is on Tuesday and they do not do a full cleaning. Our floor was still sandy and no dishes were done or the kitchen or bathrooms were not cleaned. They did replace the one set of towels and I believe they changed the sheets on the beds. It is clear by the attitude of the management that timeshare guests are frowned upon. We repeatedly requested a room change during our stay there with no resolution. You also are only given one beach towel per person which they refuse to exchange. You have to continue to wash them if they get dirty but be prepared to purchase laundry soap as none is provided. It is also across the road from any beach access so not the place to stay if you want to be on the water. I would not return to this resort.

We are indeed recipients of RCI’s Gold Crown award for many consecutive years, an honor of which we are very proud to achieve and work hard to maintain. All RCI reservations are very welcome, and it is most regretful should you have been made to feel otherwise. Please allow me to personally apologize should your stay with us have fallen short of your expectations in any way. In timeshare units, the unit assignment is done through RCI, and as such, we are not in control of which units our timeshare guests are assigned to. Should guests wish to be moved to a different unit that better suits their needs or expectations, we do our utmost to relocate them should there be any vacant RCI units available. However, at busy times of the year, occupancy may be too high for us to be able to make any changes, which was the case during your stay. Our usual cleaning protocol for timeshare units is once per week, bed are made, towels replaced, and trash removal from the units. However, should guests be at all unhappy with the weekly service provided during their stay, upon request we are more than happy to have Housekeeping Services attend as needed. We do issue one beach/pool towel per guest upon check-in. Currently, we have laundry soap available at the front desk, but we thank you for the suggestion of providing this in the units for our guests’ convenience; this suggestion will be reviewed. We do have a reputation in the industry for outstanding customer service, and would welcome the opportunity to restore your faith in our Resort by having you stay with us again. This was our family’s first time in Maui, this hotel was part of an amazing time for us. We stayed at a 2bedroom condo, they have a full kitchen with pretty much all appliances and everything you’d need in a kitchen, so no breakfast included but we just cooked breakfast there, washer and dryer (so we could’ve def packed lighter on clothes lol), their pool is pretty big and the hot tub is nice too! When we arrived they had a big fruit basket waiting for us in the room, which was very sweet of them! We met some people who live there and have timeshares, everyone was so friendly (staff included). They also had a luau by the pool one day with free drinks and chips. The entire place is beautiful, there’s chickens all over which is common for Hawaii, our son loved that. We are very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Great clean and comfy unit for our family with teenage boys We used the sofa sleeper and the living room was huge The two Lanai was wonderful and spacious for great quiet place for morning breakfast and evening sunsets. We had an absolutely wonderful view of the ocean. Ac was great in the bed rooms Appreciated the basic service to get clean towels and general upkeep Staff did absolutely anything to make our stay comfortable unlike other reviews for this property (we mentioned any concerns during the stay and they were quickly addressed). The pool was great and quite large The tennis courts were nice and the putting small but fun the kitchen had absolutely everything one would need. The unit also had good beach time reads, games and travel guides Would definitely stay again because of the room, location, and service (Dennis especially was courteous, sincere and helpful)

We rented 2 2-bedroom condos for 3 families, when we could not find an affordable rental that would accommodate 9 people. The condos were reasonably priced, well-located (if you have a car), clean, and comfortable. We did not spend much time there during the day, but the condos were comfortable for sleeping, and were clean and well maintained. The wall-unit AC was kind of noisy, but we were happy to have AC. The front desk staff were very nice. The kitchens were small, but fine for our needs. The trash was emptied and clean towels provided every couple of days, which I was not expecting for a condo. The neighborhood was nice, with lots of dining options a short drive away. We appreciated having a lockable safety deposit box in each unit. The large lanais were nice. The facility provided one large beach towel for each occupant.

There was no pick up or drop off service. I would recommend getting car rental because so much easier to get around. We ubered from airport to resort and it cost about $80 USD. Car rental is pricey but in the end its worth it. We ended up renting a car.
Tours available of you just talk to someone at front desk. We booked the Marriot luau through the resort. CONNIE is super helpful!
There are more places to choose from in the Kihei area.
