Located in a nice neighborhood, but you would never know it.
Once you're behind the locked gate it's like walking into paradise. Beautiful flowers blooming, tropical plants, and fruit trees! The patio is intimate but perfect for a couple or alone. There is a table for four with an umbrella...perfect for eating breakfast (that they provide). Oh, they also provide beach chairs which we kept in our vehicle so they were with us all the time. We also loved sitting out there with a couple of beers, our dinner, and enjoying the evening with the tropical breezes once we were done exploring Maui!
Bob and Sande bring fresh fruit, yogurt, and other stuff (can't remember all of it) and drinks every morning and will clean up if needed and of course, provide fresh towels if you ask.
The room we were in had a huge closet (wish I had that in my own room). It was perfect to unpack your suitcases, put folded clothes away and hang up the others and still have room to put your shoes and your luggage or anything extra you may have brought.
An ironing board plus the iron is provided along with a hair dryer. Located on both sides of the king-size bed were bedside tables. I mean, there was a ton of storage. You felt like this was your home and not a place to be staying while visiting Maui. It's a tropical bed n breakfast and we will definitely stay here again in the future!

This was my 3rd trip to Maui. My wife's first. We were reluctant to stay at a B&B. We had never stayed at one before. It was a great experience. We had our own entrance. Total privacy. Bob and Sande had a great breakfast of fresh fruits and homemade bread and muffins everyday. They have beach chairs and umbrella and beach towels that the guest can use. We were able to meet them. Even with the covid restrictions . Great people. We would have breakfast on the patio watching the birds and geicos. I highly recommend the adventure.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet place to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and this place definitely fit the bill. With a private entrance into a beautiful lush backyard and patio complete with local island plants and flowers, including low hanging papaya. The daily continental breakfast was all that we needed, and featured freshly grown fruit.

The room is quaint and comfortable with a private bathroom. We never actually saw or met the owners, so its about as private as you can get!. This was our first trip to Maui, and in hindsight, we were glad we chose the Kihei area. Centrally located on the island, the little beach town features all of amenities you'd want, including sandy beaches, good snorkeling, and nice restaurants, and is only 20 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from Wailea, and 30 minutes from the crowded Kaanapali and Lahaina areas.

This place was exactly as I expected! Directions to the B&B were easy to follow and we were even able to check in a little early. We rented a car for our trip so it was nice having the driveway space included. I'm one that enjoys self-check in, so the keypad lock to get in was awesome! The garden was beautiful and I loved the mango tree right outside! The place was very private. We were provided breakfast every day in a cooler which we would find whenever we came back to the B&B. Breakfast was nice to have on the go in the morning since we were always out exploring. Another great thing was the beach chairs which were available for use and we used them almost every day. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay at this B&B again! Thank you, Bob & Sande!

Comfy bed, fresh fruit and muffins for breakfast, rarely included bathtub (great after a long bicycle ride up through Wailea). As no rental cars were to be found and Lyft drivers are scarce, I used Maui bus, about 2/3 mile walk, so getting around without a car was pretty easy. Sande and Bob were wonderful hosts and I appreciated their respect for my privacy. I would definitely stay here again.

Just spent 4 nts with Bob and Sande. We truly enjoyed staying with them! Super personable hosts that we enjoyed sharing time with while eating delicious breakfasts. The conversation came easily and the laughs were in abundance.
I commented to them that I felt like we were coming " home" at the end of every busy day. A very different feel from staying in hotels/ resorts.
We found the bed very comfortable. Pillows not my favorite, but I'm particular about pillows. Slept with the slider door open, along with the ceiling fan every night for air to circulate very nicely. One warning: There is outside noise if you are light sleepers ( we really aren't). You can hear the main road noise, there are roosters in the neighborhood and a neighbor very close by has a dog that barks at night. Not our host's fault nor did we hold it against our thoughts about our stay. If it were summer, the AC would have drowned out outside noise entirely. Maybe bring earplugs if you want to avoid. The backyard area is a nice little relaxing oasis and the bathroom is clean and well stocked.

Overall,a fantastic stay! Would absolutely 100% consider for future recharge trips without the kids! Mahalo for your hospitality, Bob and Sande

We loved staying here. Very private and the patio is just gorgeous; so many tropical plants. We enjoyed the breakfast left every morning. We only met Bob and Sande briefly, and they were very friendly. We appreciated the privacy, but felt that they were accessible if we needed them. We had a busy itinerary, but the beach chairs and snorkeling equipment (and towels) were a bonus. We are already planning our next Maui adventure and will book again!

We stayed here for 9 days in Feb-March 2004. We were very pleased. Because we stayed over a week we only paid $83US a night. A Hawaiian bargain. We stayed in the Coral Suite. A very large room with a king sized bed. Included, ceiling fan, AC, TV, Cable, VCR, lots of closet space, a private bathroom, fridge, hair dryer, clock, coolers, mats, and healthy breakfasts. It was Bob and Sande our hosts that made it home. They were always friendly and helpful. We had off the street parking which is important in Kihei. (little street room). We always felt safe and relaxed. With only one other room for guests it was never over crowded. It is well located in Maui not far from anything but not really at anything either. It was perfect as we saw and did many things all over the island so we did have to travel to everything but never very long as oppossed to those who choose the north west corner. We hope to return and will reccomend it to others.

We selected Ocean Breeze Hideaway for our visit to Kihei after doing considerable internet "shopping" for the best B & B value in the area. We were abundantly rewarded for our efforts.
The ocean breeze suite, which was our home base for a week, was very clean, well appointed and comfortable.
But it was our gracious and accomodating hosts, Bob and Sande, who made our visit perfect! From tailoring breakfast offerings to our vegetarian preferences to giving expert guidance regarding things to do, places to go and directions for getting there they just met our every need. Mahalo and we look forward to a return visit.

Our previous trip to Hawaii was spent in a very nice hotel, this time we decided to try something different and what a terrific time we had at Ocean Breeze Hideaway. Bob and Sande are the perfect hosts making us feel like very special friends that chose to keep them company for a week. The room was absolutely spotless, the breakfasts delicious, and the king size bed was more comfortable than ours at home. When you add the little extras, like the use of an ice cooler and beach chairs for the beach, jackets for our sunrise drive to Haleakala and suggestions for what to see and when to see it, you can't possibly go wrong with a stay at the Ocean Breeze Hideaway. For those days that we wanted to get going early, Bob and Sande provided us with some fruit, pastries and coffee to "get us going". What a thoughtful little extra that was!!! A little comment about our normal breakfasts, it was wonderful that a very satisfying breakfast was always served with freshly picked flowers from Bob and Sande's garden. It was also very enlightening to meet with the other guests over breakfast. We almost hated to "hit the road" since we enjoyed so much chatting with the other guests. Our only regret was having to leave, we surely hope that we don't have to wait until our second 50th wedding anniversary to return!!
