I think that my room had been renovated. There was a small kitchenette area with a microwave, mini refrigerator, and coffee maker.
The room was bigger than I expected. The king bed was a bit too soft for my liking but there was a assortment of pillows to choose from. There was a desk and 2 chairs. The ceiling fan and air conditioner worked really well. The lanai had a table and 2 chairs. There was peekaboo view of the ocean.
The shower was large. It took a few minutes for the hot water to get hot but not a big deal. The toilet seat kept shifting.
The pool is small, but the beach/ocean is literally across the road. There are chairs, beach umbrellas, and coolers to borrow which is a huge plus. I saw that there were 2 bikes and helmets that you can also borrow, after signing the waiver.
There is also a lovely garden area in the back. A BBQ and hot tube are available to use, but you need to reserve these.
There are complimentary breakfast and afternoon snacks available. I think that there are only 2 restaurants within walking distance, but you are walking literally on the side of the road alternating with sidewalk. One must be careful as the road is very busy.
I had the pleasure of meeting Carol and Lucy who were at the Front Desk. Two amazing human beings. Carol offered me some of her personal food after I told her that I was so hungry and disappointed that there were not more food options/restaurants within close walking distance. When I was speaking to her the next day, she said I should have taken her car. What? This woman doesn't even know me. Lucy was so kind in answering my numerous questions and requests. She was so patient with me, and allowed me a little extra check out time after I told her that I rode the bike to so many places and was in desperate need of a shower before checking out. Thank you Carol and Lucy for being so kind, gracious, and helpful to me.
We booked Friday and Sunday nights, both on points. Friday’s room number was 315.
When we walked in the room reeked of mold and a flowery cleanser. My husband’s
allergies immediately kicked in. The room was run-down and small. The walls were pock marked with holes and spackled-over holes. The curtains looked like they had been balled up for weeks and then hung. There was visible mold in the space under the air conditioner. The bathroom window was opaque but my husband said he could still make out that I was in the shower. The parking was a single one-way lane with no exit, so narrow that you had to drive with your tires next to the doors. The closet door had been removed and a chair placed underneath, so if you wanted to sit in the chair, the hangers were right above you. At one point during the night, my husband wondered aloud how many people had died there.
We tried to cancel Sunday night, but were not allowed to. I begged the desk clerk, asking if there were any newer rooms that maybe didn’t smell so strongly of mold. We were put in room 621 in a different building. What a difference! No mold, no repaired holes in the wall. It was a bigger space.
On the map, they are both listed as standard rooms, but they couldn’t be more different. So don’t stay in Building 300. Building 600 is fine. And I can’t speak to buildings 100 or 200.

We did like the brightness in the bathroom as well as the sheets for the king bed. We also thought all the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful.
This is a 2 star hotel and I would definitely not recommend it based on the condition and the total cost of $432 for the one night stay.

When we checked into the room at first glance it looked nice, however shortly after being there my girlfriend uncovered some very disgusting things. We got in late in the evening and were ready to sleep, so she went to turn down the bed and I hopped in the shower, the bathroom drawers that held the towels were hard to open as they looked to have been painted shut almost. During this time my girlfriend noticed a few hairs on the sheets underneath the comforter. She was rightfully concerned and began to look around the room. She noticed little black dots along the base boards which is usually an indication of bugs, which she then saw one crawl from under the base board. As I got out of the shower she shared what she found and asked me to see if there was another room available.
I got dressed and headed to the front office, the girl at the front desk asked if we had photos to share or if she could see the room to verify, which we agreed to show. She accompanied me back to the room. As we entered the room my girlfriend shared she had checked the bed and noticed staining on the sheets, and there were a few layers of fitted sheets on the bed, one grosser than the other and when doing so revealed bugs were under those sheets. She was horrified and we asked to check out immediately. The front desk girl seeing these things apologized and said she would check with her manager and took photos to share.
Shortly after speaking with the manager she informed me that I could indeed receive a refund and also offered if we wanted to switch to another room. After seeing how disgusting the room we were in was, we did not fee comfortable that another room would be any better and decided to leave and search for a new place to stay.
With this place being right near the beach, I can see the price being attractive, but after the experience on the inside, it was clearly not worth it. Apparently had I done a little more research, there were other reviews noting a similar experience.
This is not a very nice hotel, and frankly feels more like a motel than anything else. It is way overpriced for what you get. My room was clean, and I like the hot tub service, but I did not feel that anything else really elevated the place. Customer service was not very good, and not nearly as friendly as I had hoped. Vending machines for drinks did not work and housekeeping was not on regularly, as one would expect for a hotel of this price. They do not even offer breakfast anymore. Also, the parking is extremely tight.
I will not be going back here ever again.
The good:
Staff are polite and the rooms are spacious and clean (maybe too clean, given the extreme smell of bleach after getting housekeeping). Fridge is an excellent size. Wi-Fi works generally decently.
The Bad: Overpriced, poorly located, deceptive title as a "resort," a very tight parking lot, a resort fee that is not disclosed at booking, the bathroom has neither a toilet paper roll holder nor a proper towel rack. We got one tiny bottle of shower gel and no hand soap, making us need to break out our reserve to wash our hands and use shampoo for showering.
Honestly, the Days Inn is better at the budget end and probably cheaper. Definitely not coming back to this place.
Trying to book a replacement 3 days before our trip was almost impossible. We booked a “Deluxe Suite Penthouse with Ocean View” through this hotel, but we had to settle for a hotel that wasn’t even near the beach. This is our honeymoon, so this kind of service really puts a sour taste in our mouths. Please think twice about trying to book a room from this place… you might find out a couple days before you leave that they have no room for you.
"Massive space. Enough room for large family! Clean and newly updated interior, even though the exterior is not much to look at. "Read full review
