NUMBER OF ROOMS
Hair dryer was broken, the phone in the room started ringing middle of the night . Windows were unclean but I guess you have to give up some of the comforts for a slightly cheaper price . Ocean view is not really ocean view. You can barely see the ocean , we have upgraded to ocean front later luckily
The hotel was a bit dated, although very clean. I would stay again for one night. It is close to airport and has a shuttle to/from airport making it very convenient. There is a restaurant within, although we didn't eat there. Across street is whole foods and a few restaurants.
The Maui Beach Hotel is perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms we're really nice and the mattress was excellent! We had an ocean view that was really lovely. The location was conveniently located near the airport and near to all of the stores and lots of restaurants. The Maui Beach Hotel just minutes away from Ioa State Park, Paia, Baldwin Beach (my favorite, an easy road to to Mr. Haleakala and the Road to Hana. Book a room, you won't be disappointed!
Close to the airport, not particularly a good thing unless that’s what you want. There is a mall across the street so if you need coffee it’s there. Rooms were small, and slightly below average, but it would be better if they were up front about it. The room I was promised over the phone and that I saw online did NOT match the room I was given. After complaining; they switched the room and I think it may have actually been a downgrade, but after changing rooms once I didn’t want to again. Attitude of staff at desk was fake friendly with a smile, but a “I don’t care” vibe. Staff walking the grounds (like maintenance) were friendly while passing by. I didn’t stay in the hotel much during the trip. I was mostly out, so, it worked for a decent place to sleep and the the hotel was cheaper than most others. Don’t expect anything and you won’t be disappointed. I felt safe, it was easy to find, and somewhat central to the island at a low price compared. Just don’t get excited by “amenities” or perks because there are none …
This is in Kahului area close to the airport and Tropical Plantation/Mill’s House (8mins by Uber). A cruise ship docked in the marina close to us which i personally thought why is that ship coming in a little too close to the beach it feels like the area is shallow. Well it wasn’t! Though its far from Lahaina which is the more touristy area of Maui or Kihei which has Long Shoreline and lots of shops. Maui Beach Hotel has its own beach. Water is cold about 50’F, I had some photos but didn’t swim. It’s also across a mall with bus depot where we took our ride going to Lahaina/Kihei. Bus has unlimited ride $4/day even if its far from tourist places.
