My sister, sister-in-law and I stayed at the Hamoa Bay House last week and it was amazing! The grounds are beautiful and the view from the lanai is awesome…we could see the Big Island so clearly! Very comfortable with everything you need and we loved the decor. I’m sure the bungalow is just as amazing 🤩 🌺

Beyond our wildest expectations! We loved spending time at Hamoa Beach everyday we can during our 10 night stay in Hana. This amazing house is 5 minutes from the beach, including parallel parking! We have been to Hana many times and thoroughly have enjoyed the great hikes, the waterfalls, the beaches. Now, in our 70’s a relaxing morning at the beach…first cleaning it of any microplastics, etc. and then walking, walking, meeting people, watching the sea…that makes for an ideal day! Hamoa House is a perfect 1300 sq ft house! Outdoor shower! Lava tub in the bathroom! Two sinks! A small second bedroom that we used for storage! Great ceiling fans. Washer and dryer! Huge screened lanai with dining room sized table and fantastic daybed! The owners have impeccable taste and Shelly, the manager keeps on top of everything! She is a gem…friendly, informative and cares about the maintenance of this treasure of a house! We booked for 2 weeks before we left…the only way we could drive away without tears! ;

We have stayed in this lovely hidden bungalow twice. It is our idea of paradise. Perhaps not for everyone, since it is at the end of the road to Hana, and there is not much to do once you arrive. However, if you are looking for an utterly peaceful retreat with glorious tropical views, you will enjoy this place.

Everything in the Hamoa House is perfect--the privacy, the entry stone, the views of the sea over the garden and jungle. The house is a composite of Balinese and Oriental art and wonders. The screened dining room looking over the sea with a queen sized bamboo day bed, the perfect reading lounge as you listen to the Hawaiian CDs provided with the home's CD player. The large kitchen was complete down to a walk-in pantry, salad spinner, and champagne flutes. The master bath had a huge stone bathtub with garden views and two separate sinks. The bamboo king bed was luxurious and comfortable and the bird of paradise spread a "smile" of aloha. Each room had fresh tropical arrangements, and outside was a lemon tree for flavoring fish dinners, a barbecue, and an outside lava shower. There is also a second bedroom with a queen bed and half bath, but we were visiting as a couple and didn't use them much. The house is close to beautiful Hamoa Bay for swimming, and a short drive from hiking the Waimoku Fall trail. Our stay was a dream come true---a romantic and magical setting.

We stayed 4 nights at the bungalow, it was the highlight of our visit to Maui; so secluded only the rustling of the bamboo and chirping birds for company. The bungalow is very well equipped and totally comfortable. Fresh flowers everywhere and very clean. Thank you to our hosts for our memorable stay.

The Bungalow couldn't have been more perfect for my boyfriend and I. It felt like our own little escape. Every morning, we'd wake up and have our coffee out on the front balcony, listening to the birds chirp and looking out at the ocean view. Pure bliss. It's also just 5 minutes away from Hana's gorgeous beaches (we loved Hamoa Beach!) and cute little town, so it was just the right amount of seclusion. We loved every minute there and can't recommend it enough. Will definitely be going back!

From the moment we walked down the pathway to the bungalow we knew we’d arrived somewhere very special. The place offers complete privacy and surrounds you with lush foliage and beautiful flowers. It was absolute paradise to fall asleep listening to the sounds of the ocean and the bamboo trees as the breeze blew in. One of the highlights of our stay at the bungalow was the outdoor lava rock shower and being able to enjoy a steamy shower even as the rain fell down. The bungalow had everything we could have possibly needed to enjoy our stay and the extra touches of fresh flowers throughout did not go unnoticed. We came to Hana to experience the less touristy and busy side of Maui and we fell in love with the place. It was incredibly peaceful and we felt utterly and completely relaxed. The bungalow really is in the perfect location and made you feel like you were absolutely secluded yet is very close to Hamoa Beach and the town itself. Robin was absolutely wonderful to deal with and made the booking process easy! We spend 4 nights here and could easily have stayed twice as long. Our only regret was not staying longer and we wouldn’t book less than a week next time. Staying at Hamoa Bunaglow was the highlight of our time in Maui and we can’t wait to return to this tropical paradise.

My wife and I had a wonderful and relaxing week staying at the Hamoa Bay Bungalow in Hana, Maui. Although the road to Hana had it’s challenges (and views),it was well worth the drive to arrive at the sweet bungalow in the jungle. As remote as we were, we had all the modern conveniences we needed and wanted. The bungalow is within walking distance to the famed Hamoa Bay beach and the equally beautiful Koki beach. We fell asleep to the sound of the surf or the sound of rain in the jungle and awakened to the sound of the tropical birds. We spoke to Robin after we arrived and she checked on us a few times during our stay to make sure all of our questions were answered and that we had everything we needed. Robin was a very gracious and kind host. If you are looking for a relaxing time in a beautiful place, away from all the crowds and tourism, this is THE place to come. We loved it!!

We loved heavenly Hana and the Hamoa Bay Bungalow was a wonderful find! My husband and I were lucky to be able to book this place for 2 nights. It was an incredibly beautiful, remote setting. We found ourselves tired after a long day of travel, leaving the airport and driving the beautiful (and challenging) Road to Hana. We came upon the Hamoa Bay Bungalow just at dusk and reveled at the lush gardens surrounding the property. When we unlocked the door, my husband commented "how did you find this place!" We were amazed at the comfortable, Balinese style decor inside. The bungalow was enchanting, from the screened in porch, with lovely oversized chairs for reading and relaxing to the large jacuzzi tub situated on one side of the porch (sadly jacuzzi was not working). We loved coming home to this enchanting hideaway and felt so relaxed when sadly, we had to leave. Robin, our host was very responsive to our needs and called to make sure we had gotten in and had everything we needed. This is the perfect spot for those who enjoy being surrounded by nature. We highly recommend the Hamoa Bay Bungalow and wish we could have stayed longer. We spent a total of 4 nights in Hana, which was perfect for exploring heavenly Hana.

Mahalo Ann, for your lovely review of the Bungalow. I am always happy to hear how much guests enjoy this sweet place. It was lovely to read how delighted you were when you arrived. I am sorry that you did not let me know that you could not get the jacuzzi on. I would have been happy to figure out what the problem might have been. The switch is a little touchy and I am guessing that was the problem as the place has been booked almost non-stop since you were here in early November and no one else has mentioned it not working. I hope you can return someday and we will make sure that you can add the delight of the jacuzzi for your next trip. Mahalo and wishing you and Ken a very Happy New Year, Robin
