We stayed one night at Dreams Come True B&B. The name of the place is not obvious when you look at it, but the locals know where it is. We were in room 2. It had a double bed and a single bed, but no TV (available in the living room) or A/C. The bathroom was 2 steps down from the room, and had a (jacuzzi) tub and shower. The WiFi was available in the living room and on the big porch. Our hostess, Susan, was very pleasant and informative to talk to, as were the other guests who were there. She made a very good breakfast. I did walk the 6 blocks to the new (and very nice) movie theater, but the advice to bring a jacket, as it gets cold there, was good advice. We saw lots of whales while on the ferry from Maui, and we enjoyed touring the island with Brad. The island is so much different than other islands in Hawaii. Being quiet, dry, and not overrun with tourists top the list. We would stay here again.…
Susan and Michael are the most courteous hosts we’ve ever had at a bed and breakfast. We enjoyed a beautiful room with a sky light and private whirlpool bath. There’s a common living area, free WiFi, shared kitchen and dining as well as a relaxing patio area out back. Susan provided us coffe and home cooked breakfast each morning while we enjoyed conversation with her and the other guests. Mahalo Susan and Michael!
There are so few places to stay in Lanai City. This is it, now that the hotels are undergoing renovation. And it's a great little place!. Small comfortable rooms; nice home-cooked breakfast; convenient location; and oh yeah, nice people! Susan was a terrific host.
We had a lovely two-night stay. The cool mountain air and quiet accommodations made for a truly comfortable visit. Susan's warm hospitality and helpful suggestions allowed us to get maximum enjoyment from our time on Lana'i. If you like freshly picked tropical fruit, made to order breakfasts, and a convenient, central location, then this is the place for you.
There are few options to stay on Lanai, there is a 4 seasons around $1000 per night, an old small lanai hotel which also runs very expensive for what it is and the most reasonable option of dreams come true which was about $160 and included eggs, toast, juice and coffee. The b&b is a small home on the road to the main square and you can walk to the restaurants from the b&b. The rooms are very small and they do not have ac nor a ceiling fan. This isn’t an issue if you get the trade-winds but with location of the b&b in Lanai City and a small window there was no breeze. The weather was also very rainy and overcast while we were there so our room felt warm and damp at night. For us the place worked as we didn’t want to spend a fortune. The owners no longer rent their vehicle but there is a car rental down the street but expect to pay more than the other islands…
