Kokee Park is nestled in the mountains of Kaua'i, away from the crowds, Internet and even cell service in most of the park. Given this attraction, it is fitting that the lodges at Kokee are rustic. Although, basic, we found everything we needed for a lovely stay with the family.

Stayed in the Naio cabin. I remember this cabin from when I was little. My parents took us to Kokee several times to hike. I am sure that the cedar cabins have been renovated as it isn't as I remember. The cabins were perfect for us. Off the grid--no service--just patchy areas of service while on the trails (very patchy).... More

Stayed in a two bedroom cabin with a queen sized bed in one and 2 (ie 4) single bunk beds. Oddly you have to pick up the key all the way down in Waimea. Fortunately the key was still at the restaurant so we didn't have to drive back to get it. Alos make sure to bring food for the... More

Aloha rndm, Glad to hear you had a good time in Koke`e! The check in desk is located in Waimea Town, the last town you go through on the way up to the Park and Cabins. The Office is 40 yards off of the main road through town and is easy/convenient to find. The check in desk details are provided... More

We stayed at the 2 bedroom Lehua cabin for two nights in May. We had a king-sized bed in our room and there were twin beds in the other room. The kitchen was nicely appointed, and we really enjoyed lighting a fire in the wood stove both nights as the weather was a little chilly. Travelers to this spot should... More

Happen to stop to look around and found the restaurant. We were hungry and they had grass fed hamburger on the menu. The service is very friendly, the coffee fresh and very tasty. The meat was juicy and the price just right.

Beautiful location in the heart of Kauai with plenty of hiking/sightseeing nearby. Stayed in the Olapa cabin early May 2016. The wood smell gives you the warm feeling of what a log cabin should be as soon as you walk in. Really enjoyed our stay here in the Koke'e Cabins. It has a full kitchen with a coffee maker with... Mahalo Justin for your compliments- it makes all our hard work worthwhile. As many have seen and some have reported there has been a great transformation of the Cabins at Kokee since we took over management in the 4th quarter of 2015. It has been fun to take part in the smiles when our guests check out nowadays. Like any... More

We stayed in the Maile Cabin (Red Studio Cabin). We loved being able to walk to some of the hiking trails, and the guavas that grew on the wild trees outside the cabin were delicious! It would have been nice to have a heat source other than a wood stove, because it was REALLY COLD in the mornings. Also the... More

Aloha Maia~ Mahalo for your feedback and the opportunity to further refine our description of the "Koke`e Experience". As our website and confirmation material state, these cabins are above 3000 feet. This means year round temperatures approximately 20F less than sea level. Please prepare accordingly for this stay in the mountains. It seems that in winter time, the use of... More

We stayed at the Kolea cabin and it met our needs nicely. As other reviewers have said, this is not a luxury hotel. It is a clean and comfortable cabin with a nice wood burning stove to keep you warm. They even placed some fresh flowers on the coffee table. The setting is just beautiful and close to amazing hiking... More

Aloha Vicki~ Mahalo for the encouraging feedback. We have replaced the refrigerator in this cabin. As for temperatures- during the day you can expect perfect hiking temperatures. Not too hot- not too cool. Night time you will want some warmer clothes that would vary depending on winter or summer. The seasons are the same timing as the northern hemisphere. This... More

These are not 4 or 5 star accommodations, but they never pretend to be. We stayed in one of the rustic duplex cabins for about $60/night. Firewood is not included, but we would definitely recommend as the nights get pretty cold. A box of firewood at Safeway in Lihue runs about $20 and will last all night. Everything we needed... More

Aloha Mark~ Mahalo for taking the time to review. You stayed in one of our Duplex Cabins. We initially thought there would be a demand for a very inexpensive, "bare bones" type of unit and created the Duplex Cabin to meet this demand. We have found that the majority of our guests would prefer to pay a few bucks more... More

I've camped up at Kokee before in a tent and was pretty demoralized when it got cold and rained so decided to take the luxury (glamping) route this time at the Cabins at Kokee. I can't rave highly enough about it, under a glamping lens. Perfect little wood fire to keep off the chill, excellent shower and lots of hot... More
