We were upgraded to a Ocean View suite which was stunning and could not fault.

This place has some amazing views. Great to sit out by the pool/beach and the services are top notch. Very nice grounds and it does feel secluded if you are looking to get away from the world for a bit.
The setting is stunning, but the hotel is in need of an update. If you're staying in Kauai, Princeville is the place to stay...the view, the sunset, breakfast outdoors are all very memorable. I expect this property is due for an update soon.
