I am new to the island and have searched it extensively for quality food and spirits. Nanea delivered. The Steak and Mai Tai were far better than I've had anywhere else Naomi, the bartender is very pleasant and always had the right suggestions. The bar is quaint with a nice patio outside.

Had an amazing seven days at Westin Princeville. All of the staff was amazing and friendly, Especially at check in. The Concierge was accommodating and provided a lot of info plus a bunch of ways to save money at the local businesses. I stayed in a studio which was clean, well appointed, and has an amazing bathroom with jetted tub. We went to the pool almost everyday. Pool side drink Service was hit or miss depending on the day but definitely great drinks. I learned quickly, If you tip well they will keep coming back. If you don’t tip well it’s gonna be a minute between drinks haha. I also rented a cabana for a full day and that was amazing. Drink service in the cabana was on point the entire time. Never had to wait for a drink or food. The cabana was AMAZING and fairly well priced. Would definitely do it again. The market place has Great coffee every morning and I was never disappointed with the service or the offerings. The prices are definitely a bit over priced, but it is Hawaii and very convenient so I saw past that. I heard a lot about the parking before I went by reading reviews… put it this way, if you arrive to park any time after 5pm it’s going to be somewhat full. BUT with that being said, there was always ENOUGH parking spaces, you might just have to walk a bit. I didn’t mind this at all, as long as I could find parking spot I was happy, but I could see how this might be disappointing for others who don’t like walking or if it’s raining. The grounds over the entire resort were very well maintained. I heard a lot about bird poop being an issue by reading reviews and this was 100% false. The bird poop was NOT an issue at all while I was there. Yes, there was bird poop but it was well managed and never once was an issue. I was in a first floor room, and the patio had birds outside but my small patio with chairs was very clean and I could easily walk out barefoot with out any issues. Overall, I was totally happy with my stay and very impressed. I’ve stayed in many high end resorts over the years and this one definitely matches up. Shout out to all the pool staff… super friendly and always helpful. I didn’t meet anyone on the resort with a bad attitude. Everyone was working hard and always friendly. Everyone on the island is struggling to maintain staffing and this is very evident in many of the business, so I truly appreciate that it didn’t feel evident here. I always felt 100% taken care of. With that being said, Thank you everyone at Westin Princeville for working so hard to provide guests with a memorable and wonderful time. As you know, good service can make a vacation wonderful and bad service can easily ruin a vacation. Thank you for making my vacation wonderful, and Thank you for working so hard during these tough times, You are all truly appreciated. Hopefully I’ll be back soon!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Wailea Beach Resort for our anniversary in October. We were greeted upon arrival with beautiful lei’s and a refreshing juice drink. Our rooms weren’t ready but we were given keys to a private dressing room to change into our swimsuits so we could relax by the pool until it was ready! Our Ocean View room had beautiful views of the pool and ocean. It was so peaceful enjoying our morning coffee on the balcony and watching the sunset in the evening! We loved starting our day walking the beach path! There’s so much to do at the resort between the pools and a short walk to the beach! All the staff was so friendly and gave us great tips on things to do in the area! We can’t wait to return someday!

I have to say I wasn't super excited about staying at a resort but this property is really great. When I walked in the lobby it felt old school Hawaii and very low key. Our room was bordering the golf course and the ocean breeze was awesome. Very comfortable and amenities are available as needed. Would I stay again, yes! The pools were really nice but no fault of the resort, lots of kids. Overall a really beautiful location 😍

Not coming from the USA, when booking this accommodation we expected a hotel. We did not understand "Vacation Club"...of course we do now and wouldn't book such a property in the future. It is a time-share property where rooms are rented out as if it is a hotel. Once we recovered from our mistake, we did find the room & facility comfortable. We booked the Studio with a King bed, Sofa bed and Balcony for 8 nights. It came with a washer and dryer and a kitchenette. We met friends from the States here. The resort offers a restaurant but we felt the food offered was very average. Nearby was the Princeville Shopping Centre which ended up being our lifesaver as we were able to buy groceries. As the Westin is a time-share there are a lot of BBQ's in the grounds that are kept very clean so we ate their each night. This Westin is in an isolated location without convenient public transport so we rented a car from the airport to have with us for the 8 nights. BUT the Westin charges you $18/night for parking which I feel is extremely cheeky seeing you have no other way of moving about and seeing Kauai. Personally, we would not come back to this resort due to it's nature of operation.

Stayed for five nights. Requested a room with a view, and got a view of three trees... Room was okay but bathroom was dated. We had asked for a one bedroom but got a studio and no one was willing to help us change it. They do not recognize any Marriott Bonvoy status or privileges, so don't waste your breath asking about it. The pool towel situation is absurd. You have to walk across the resort to exchange cards for towels. To get clean towels you need to go back to that desk to pick them up. If you don't return four towels or cards at checkout they will charge you. We stayed at two other resorts in Hawaii that just provided towels without all of that hassle. Definitely would not stay there again.

Aloha and thank you so much for visiting with us and sharing your feedback. We are a vacation time-share property, which differs in many ways from some of the traditional Marriott hotel brands, which offer Bonvoy member benefits such as an upgraded room type or a view room. I apologize if this key difference was unknown. Our beach towel process is pretty standard for resorts in Hawaii as we encourage our guests to take them off property, but want to ensure they bring them back. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if I can assist you with anything. Much aloha!

We have been at the Westin in Princeville this week, with the check out being tomorrow. We have had a beautiful view of both the Makai Golf course and the Pacific Ocean from building four. This studio contains a full-size refrigerator and a stackable washer and dryer, which makes it stand out from other studios at other locations. The resort has had some updates that are that are particularly noticeable in the soft furnishings and paint. I had read several comments about the geese on the premises and both in the pools and around the pools ruining the experience here. I know that Marriott recently took over the property. Apparently since doing that, Marriott’s has resolved the geese problem. I saw absolutely no evidence whatsoever of geese in the pool or around the pool, creating a dirty problem. The Westin staff has been very good to work with and they are willing and eager to assist in anyway possible. Housekeeping is very responsive in providing additional supplies, as needed. Housekeeping also services the unit several times during the stay. Also, there is plenty of parking. The Westin has a 2 story parking garage on its premises, in addition to other parking lots to other available parking lots.

About 1/2 of the rooms that are available face a parking lot. The map shows that it has 7 buildings, but the reality is that three best located buildings (3, 6, and 7) are time-shares, according to the front desk. The rooms in three of the other buildings overlook a parking lot if you are on the parking lot side of the building. The remaining building (2) has a few rooms on the end that overlook a parking lot. Even for the rooms that don’t overlook the parking lot, very few provide a view of the ocean. The rooms that have the best view are on the third floor of the non-parking lot side of building 4. In short, I will not stay here again because the chance of getting a bad room is too high.
