The hotel grounds were lovely. The place was fully booked. We tried changing our room but they couldn’t accommodate us being totally full. The main reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 was that it was next to impossible to find a place by or near the adult pool. We are in our seventies and don’t appreciate screaming kids by the pools. Not very relaxing. The “pool hogs” put their towels down early and may not return for hours. I found this very frustrating and unfair. They need more chairs to accommodate their guests. You can rent a cabana for some exorbitant rate but you should not feel the need to do so. It was expensive enough. We did have a lovely dinner at Tidepools for our anniversary. The food was excellent and our server Juan couldn’t have been nicer. If we do return I will come slow season if there is such a thing and not when the kids are out of school.

Aloha msacks71, Mahalo for your feedback and Happy Anniversary! We hope you were able to make some wonderful memories while with us. Juan is fantastic, as you got to experience. We will surely pass your kind regards of him on to our team. With the world of travel opening up, we are surely experiencing high periods of demand & are doing our very best to remain flexible and adapt. We've added more seating options at our pool area to accommodate but will surely take your feedback to better our operations. If you're looking for a slower season for your next return, early December is typically a great time to visit! Hopefully we'll see you then! Until next time.. a hui hou.

We had such an amazing stay! Our toddler was welcomed at check-in with a cute stuffed animal (of one of the hotel's resident parrots) and a Hawaii book, both of which she loved! The pools were fantastic and the beach was stunning (although the ocean was pretty rough during our stay)! The spa was beautiful and our treatments were wonderful. Our dinner at Tidepools (sans toddler) was so delicious and romantic, such a beautiful setting! Overall, we had a wonderful time! It's a very large hotel (logged plenty of steps!), but the staff's attention to detail made it feel like we didn't get lost in the enormity of the property. Highly recommend!!

Aloha Karenhlane, We are so glad that your visit exceeded your expectations! Sounds like you folks had a wonderful time and were able to make some great memories. I hope your toddler will forever cherish their gift. The ambiance at Tidepools is surely unforgettable - I love watching the koi and witnessing the sunset from the restaurant. And yes, you're right! We are set on 50 acres, meaning there are lots of steps to be had! All filled with beauty around every corner! We hope to welcome you and your ohana back soon - Aloha!

It's a beautiful resort. Tons of plants and water features which made it a pleasure to walk around the property. We only used the pool once but it was a lot of fun meandering around. We were in Room 4137 which was not very far from the main entrance or the beach so it was a great location. View was of the pools and the beach. This was only a place to sleep for us as we were out and about every day we were there so I really can't speak much about the resort. Matt, the bartender at the pool bar was awesome. Gave us great tips on where to hike and which beaches to look for and he also made a killer Mai Tai. Only two complaints. The first night there were some late night partiers in the pool right outside our room. Called it in and it stopped immediately. The next day we were treated to chocolate covered strawberries for the inconvenience. My other complaint is probably due to Covid. Paper cups in the room for coffee and

Aloha Amy T, Mahalo for your feedback and we're thrilled you had a wonderful stay with us! Sounds like you got to experience Kauai in all its glory & got some great local tips from Matt! We'll be sure to pass along the compliments of his killer Mai Tai! I'm glad that we were able to remedy the late night noise. With our pools being open 24 hours a day, a reminder is sometimes needed - it really is such a fun place to be! .. glad you got to experience it at least once during your stay! We hope to welcome you back to Kauai & the resort in the future! Mahalo & Aloha!

We loved the resort and it's beautiful views and the staff service. Lots of families with kids, which isn't really our scene, but it didn't distract too much from our enjoyment. Would definitely recommend, especially if you can stay on points like we did.

Beautiful property but even better staff. Special shout-out to Johno in the water feature department who snorkeled into the Koi pond to retrieve my sunken sunglasses. Very kind and generous man. Also Claudia as a poolside server was absolutely fantastic

Aloha Alex H, Mahalo for your feedback and we're delighted to hear of your recent stay with us. We are so glad to hear that Johno was able to retrieve your sunglasses - what a great story to tell years from now. I'm sure the koi were smitten to see Johno as well :) Claudia is joy and a wonderful asset to our pool team. Be sure to come back and see us all again! Until we meet again - aloha!
