Will have to say we got to the island before things started to close. found several things closed on the island. as for the resort it was supper clean and the condos have everything you could want. grounds and pool were nice Beach was a little walk but had a trail to get to the beach. had nice BBQ that we used every day. activity center had something to do every day.
This was our first time to Kauai and we enjoyed staying in the Poipu area although it was a little windy at times. We had a two bedroom garden view suite for the five of us. It was just a few steps off our lanai to see the ocean and walk the trail above the beach. I enjoyed a morning walk daily to see the turtles in Honu cove just beside the resort. The grounds and pools are lovely. The staff we encountered were freindly and efficient. Everything we needed done was done right away. The pool was lovely although on the windy days it was a little cold for me. They had a nice hot tub and also an adult hot tub as well. We enjoyed Happy Hour at the Poolside Bar, the bartender, Michael was great. I wish the bar had been open for 2 more hours in the evening. The only thing negative I have to say about the resort is the lack of towel racks in the bathrooms. There weren't enough for our bath towels let alone our swim suits. Even a clothesline installed over the bath tub like they have in Europe Hotels would be useful.…
We visit here often, and some units are definitely better than others. But they are consistently clean, and timely with any maintenance request. The front desk and staff are pleasant, and the pool bar is convenient. Always pleasant, and the food is pretty good. It really needs that remodel, but it is coming soon.
I haven’t stayed at a timeshare in a long time. It was quite large with comfortable beds and a screen door to the patio which was particularly lovely. Everything worked, which is always nice. This was a nice standard type stay place. The pool is large (but cold) and the bar drinks by the pool quits good. Lots of children, even in the hot tub. The hot tub was not quite hot though. The walls were paper thin and our neighbors made a heck of a racket. The proximity to the Grand Hyatt made this place perfect t for us. A short walk on a cement walkway and we were over watching sunsets with drinks in our hand.
Spacious condominiums could use updating. I was told they will be done within the next year. Good south side location. Pool bar has a great and reasonable happy hour. 15 plus minute walk to shipwreck beach.
