The unit and area of Poipu were great. We ran into a few mechanical issues and while the maintenance support tried their best, it absolutely fell short of our expectations. On night 2 of our stay, hot water heater stopped working. I tried basic troubleshooting with the "on-site" maintenance staff, however, we were unable to fix, and it meant 5 of us all had to take cold showers. It was resolved the next day. The more concerning issue was about A/C in the master bedroom. It was a problem from the first day, worked intermittently, and ultimately our only choice was a portable unit that prevented windows from being closed, thus we got up with the sun. I've traveled for 3 decades and understand stuff happens. The resort management did not work the weekend or Monday holiday, was very dismissive of our experience on Tuesday, when they contacted me (when we were already checked out). No offer of a discount of any sort nor they didn't even offer a sincere apology (I asked for at least a phone call - which they didn't even make to me). Horrible customer service. While the unit is very nice, if you're concerned if anything goes wrong there's no focus on the customer - I'd look elsewhere.…

The Villas at Poipu Kai Poipu Just Perfect! 823542991 We stayed in Suite: #C300 Custom 4 bedroom Ocean View Penthouse. The house was beautiful and well appointed. We were there late October. Weather was great and love the Poipu area. This is my 3rd time on Kauai and it is the only area I stay. The grounds were well kept and the pool was perfect. Would love to go back!

The property is fantastic, the grounds are well-groomed and beautiful - true paradise until you try to check in it... as a Canadian... My husband and I arrived from Vancouver on December 14. The flight was delayed and we had to spend the night at a motel by the airport. We arrived at Poipu Kai Paradise Resort at 1 PM on December 15. We enthusiastically toured the grounds: being so close to tennis courts and the sea was great! At the reception a lady named Leanne said they will allow us an earlier check-in the moment the room was ready. At 2:45 the cleaning crew signaled to us that the room is ready. We walked to the reception office where Leanne in rapid fire told us to download and fill in the 'Safe Travel' app on our phones. My husband tried to explain to the receptionist that that app and site is for Americans only, but she would not hear of it: "I need to see the Safe Travel app green dot, not red dot to check you in. No green dot - no check in!" We offered our full vaccination QR codes, Canadian passports - all in vain. After 15 minutes of this, another official appeared from the back door and said that Canadians do not need the Safe Travel app. Leanne heard that but became defensive: in loud whisper with her back to us just behind the counter she said to a younger woman by the computer: "As they are not fully [electronically approved] - no early check-in! Check in time is 4 PM". After another 45 minutes outside the reception office we were given the keys to our unit. Dear Canadians, If you travel to this location, beware: As you are not FULLY... Property was fantastic, units were even better. Short walk to the beach, nicely appointed units with high-end finishes. Would gladly stay there again. Property manager was very responsive to air conditioning question.

Spacious, clean, beautifully-appointed condo, perfect for a getaway gathering of family or friends! Fully-stocked kitchen great for meals at the condo. Lovely lanai for outside reading and games. Laundry room in the condo is wonderfully convenient! We also loved the additional items provided in the condo's garage this year, including a canvas wagon for hauling items to the beach, beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, and more! Great hikes within walking distance from the condo, easy beach access, and tennis courts adjacent to property available for minimal fees. This was our second year staying in this condo, and should we return to Kauai next year, we will stay here again!

This is the first time our family was able to visit hawaii as a large group we had 23 guests!!! We booked the 4 bedroom penthouse and two 3 bedroom poolside villas. This was the perfect setup. We loved every minute of our stay and it was by far one of my favorite vacations ever. First: The rooms were incredible. Spacious lanai for dining and reading, huge living room that tied into the kitchen and dining area creating the perfect place for a large family to gather. The 4 bedroom penthouse even had a private elevator into the suite which is totally invaluable if you have a baby or elderly person in your group. The pool was incredibly clean and well taken care of and there is a waterfall hot tub that is enchanting. Second: the location is spot on. Poipu is definitely the place to stay on the island and opened up possibilities to explore the entire island and have a nice (dry) home base as the sunny south-side doesn't rain much at all. We will definitely be back very soon. Our experience surpassed even our unknown expectations. We loved staying at the villas at Poipu beach. We stayed in the four bedroom unit. It accommodated our large family group. It was nice to have such a beautiful kitchen to use while we were there. The table was large so that we could all eat together as well. The balcony was nice. You could see the pool from it. The hot tub at the pool was gorgeous with a waterfall going into it. The beach had turtles on it. The villas grounds were a beautiful garden. I would stay again and recommend it to anyone.

Our family of four stayed in Unit F211 for 4 nights while vacationing on Kauai. This is a 2nd floor unit overlooking the pool. We loved this condo! It had everything one would need on vacation. It was so nice to have so much space, and the added bonus in all of these units is the outdoor space, whether it be a balcony or patio. It's an additional living area, and so lovely to be outside but protected from sun (and occasional rain shower). The pool area is quite lovely, and the quick walk to fabulous Poipu Beach can't be easier! I didn't know before our arrival, but there is a fabulous tennis center on the grounds of the resort (steps from the Villas) with very reasonable pricing for courts. If you play, bring your racquet! We are finishing a 10 night trip traveling around 3 of the Hawaiian islands. We have stayed at all different types of lodging from the big resorts to boutique Inns, and condos. The Villas at Poipu Kai is definitely a favorite!! You will not be disappointed.…

I stayed here for 8 days with my family of 5. Luxurious and Lots of room ....everything was 1st class in our 3 BR villa. Full kitchen, washing machine, AC...a great patio along the entire front with 2 walkouts. Short walk or drive to beaches and restaurants. It’s expensive but everything in in Hawaii is expensive unfortunately.

We stay at the villas at Poipu Kai at the beginning of November 2018 in Villa E210 there were 4 of us. It was nice having our own rooms and bathrooms. It was a nice condo and I liked how a few things were provided such as cooking wear, laundry detergent, Beach towels and bag. It made for a nice relaxing stay. I liked the condo it saved us money from eating out all the time. I mostly cooked at the condo except for 2 times. The only negative was a little dust,dishwasher was dirty so I didn't use,dirty placemats which I washed, the patio table could have been cleaner. The poolside villa was nice and so was the gym. I loved the location of these condos which were close to 3 nearby beaches and also easy access to go to the other parts of the island. Overall, we loved staying here and would definitely return.
