This property is special. The location, the staff, the ocean setting, wonderful pool, a beautiful and peaceful Property that embodies the feeling of old Hawaii. Perfect spot to headquarter as you explore the island, or just to rest and rejuvenate your soul. Don’t miss out on a visit to the Koa Kea on Kauai on your next trip to Hawaii.

Amazing from start to the end. If you are looking for a clean, updated, friendly resort on a prime location that offers some of the best food one can dream of, look no further! We spent a week of our honeymoon here and can not wait to go back. This is a boutique type of resort where staff treats you like the #1 customer at all times. It’s located in one of the best parts of the island where you can not only enjoy a beautiful calm beach as well as snorkel but also step into town for some culture, shopping and adventures. There are also plenty of restaurants in the area but nothing compared to Red Salt - make sure to book reservations for dinner because it’s popular. We had the chance of visiting other resorts up north as well as Maui and this one is by far our favorite.

We have stayed at this property 3 times previously and have always had a great experience. We were looking forward to our 4th trip back this May but unfortunately the trip was cancelled due to the hotel closure as a result of the coronavirus. Obviously we understand the cancellation but are still trying to get a refund of the $1,500 deposit and prepaid items we were charged at booking. Their online cancellation wasn’t working so I have called, left voicemails, reached out via social media on more than 30 separate occasions since March - all just trying to reach someone. I have called/emailed every contact number on their website. I managed to speak with someone one time in April who assured me the refund was processed yet we still have not received a credit for the charges. I understand the hotel is closed but you would think someone would still be handling operational and customer service issues or there would have been some sort of automatic refund process when the cancellation was initiated by the hotel. This process has been beyond frustrating and and will make us think twice about booking here again. Very disappointed in management.

AMAZING-AMAZING-AMAZING!!! This is the perfect property to experience all things in Kauai. Our room 437 gave us a view of the property, the private cove and of course, the beautiful ocean. We saw the whales from our balcony each morning. There was always 2 lounge chairs available by the pool. Great bar/food service there, as well. At sunset, they lit the torches around the property with pomp and circumstance every night. The Red Salt Restaurant on the property was super good. The fish dishes were out of this world and the Poke Bowls were worth the price. The spa was super relaxing. We had facials and hot oil treatments for our hair and the staff there were great. The products were so luxurious, I had to buy some for myself. The gym was stocked with all the current equipment. My husband utilized it daily. Turn down service was the best and room service was very prompt with our orders. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We enjoyed everything about this resort, so much so, that we never left the property the 5 days we were there.

Clean and romantic rooms. Lovely view and great front desk and valet service. We were there while it was very rainy and the North Side had flooding. Was given alternatives. Jenny from breakfast is the best. We would definitely go back.
