This was our third stay at Kaha Lani and it will be our last. Previous units were on the first and third floors of two different buildings and were very nice. However, this visit, Unit 327 was in very poor condition, way beyond simply being outdated. We spent $6,700 for a 2-week stay and the only positive aspect was the location - direct oceanfront. Carpet was filthy, bed was uncomfortable, bathrooms disgusting. Screens did not fit properly and let in gnats and other flying insects. Additionally, this visit, the smell from the sewage treatment plant near Lydgate was gaggingly overwhelming at times.

The property itself is nice and well maintained. We had a really nice condo close to the entrance. Cleanliness was good, the service provided at the front desk also. On the downside, the roosters really are a problem. The don’t only go off close to sunrise, some of them go all night. As there is no a/c, we couldn’t sleep with the windows closed but were woken up a couple of times during the night and in the morning by the roosters. Also, we had some insects in our condo and even a small gecko. As this is a tropical environment, I totally understand where this comes from and it was not a big problem for us. Further, when being charged over 300$ for cleaning (mandatory fee), I would have expected that that included taking out the trash for us. Instead, we had to do that ourselves. In addition, there is a lot of homeless around the property, though we never encountered any on. That gave us some sort of an insecure feeling about the environment.

My in laws booked this place. It was a two bedroom unit, 225. The bed was so uncomfortable. The worst part is that the unit had visible black mold which was making me so sick. My husband and I left, going to a hotel. DO NOT stay at this place. Also, the unit was dated, furniture uncomfortable.

The best part of this resort is the location. It is close to airport, close to Safeway, close to ABC store and some shopping plazas. You can walk to the beach in 2 minutes, and it is a nice, clean and not crowded beach. you can watch sunrise there. it has full kitchen so you can just buy stuff from Safeway and cook your own meal. Just the units of this resort is individually owned. even it says newly renovated it might not applied to all unites or everything in the unit. the one we stayed in, there's no curtain/blind on the kitchen window, so whoever walk by can see the kitchen and dinning area. the blinds in bedroom are old, the cloths behind the blind is old too, and one window has a longer piece, the other one has a shorter one. We didn't realize the unit had a TV with broken screen and a broken leg on the day we arrived. we reported to the front office on the next morning, which was replaced on the day after. Rooster is the king of the island is not a joke. you will see quite a bit of chickens walking around the property. you better feed them if you sit outside to eat on the first floor, otherwise they will come for your food. If you don't mind hearing rooster's crow in the earning morning, then you can give this place a try.

We booked a 3-night stay at the resort for what was supposed to cost $600 total. I never received a receipt upon making a reservation, but my card was charged the correct amount at the time of booking. Then, upon checkout, I was charged another $612 and again, never received an invoice to see what the additional charges were for. When I called the resort to inquire, they stated that the initial charge was only a deposit toward your total stay. It was not until after I requested a copy of the invoice did I see that the cost of our 3-night stay at a mediocre location was over $1200! The place is decent, but I would recommend calling to confirm the total cost before confirming a reservation.

Spent two weeks, great view but the substantial railing is at eye level when seated on the balcony blocking the view of the ocean. neighbors had a bistro height table and chairs we would have loved. Kitchen reasonably stocked just had to get a few things, s&p, ziplocks etc. good bed but old pilled sheets. Lots of sporting gear in the closet, good iron and board. Small TV but we didn’t use it much anyway. Had to buy a clock for the bedroom. Quiet end of resort, a little of a hike to the pool but worth it for the quiet (besides the roosters at anytime of day or night). We would go again, overall loved it, would like to contact owner and skip exorbitant vrbo fees.

Very wonderful location, easy walking distance to the beaches and driving distance too many sightseeing and event locations… But Traveluro has hidden fees under “good to know”, “read more” requires expansion arrow tap to get drop-down that adds $312 cleaning fee which is required when you show up to the counter. Not a good marketing scheme, when you have choices of other resorts that do disclose the cleaning fees and other fees but Traveluro does not.

These are individually owned condos, so I can't speak for them all but #206 was absolutely perfect. No hidden fees, like other reviews mentioned, the place was spotless and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. The place was so well kept, I already booked another stay for next year. Making this an annual trip now; don't hesitate to book!!

Let me start by saying that the properly is beautiful. The room was nice as well (but very hot with no A/C) but their nighttime security guard was extremely friendly and personable. Our trip started out wonderfully, we were thrilled with the view of the ocean and with our pretty the condo was. Now, the bad part. We booked through Hotwire, perhaps that was the first problem. The advertised rate was $251 per night. They tacked on another $100 in taxes and fees, for a total of about $300/night. Hotwire advised us that the property would charge a $60 resort fee, which I was fine with. Upon check-in, I was charged another $285 for a cleaning fee AND another $80 in taxes and fees. The lady was unable to answer my questions and we were forced to pay the amount, bringing our grand total for 2 nights close to $1000. I contacted Hotwire, and to Hotwire’s credit, they refunded us the $285 cleaning fee. After we returned home, out of curiosity I tried to book some nights direct with the property. They advertise a $328/night rate, then tack on $285+ for a cleaning fee. It felt very dishonest to me and I cannot recommend this property to others. I would recommend booking with a reputable hotel company like Hilton or Marriott where a cleaning fee is rolled into the price of the room and you won’t be surprised with unadvertised fees.

We stayed in condo 112. I am starting with the Pros..The location was perfect had a beautiful view. The pool and grounds were very nice and well kept. Although the pool could use a little bit of repair and cleaning, there was some what looked like black mold on the grout in the pool, it was very clean overall. The staff at the desk and maintenance people were wonderful, Carey was very quick at handling any issues we had. Now Cons... I had researched ALOT and thought i picked one with a couch that looked relatively comfortable. I am aware of couches that are rattan and also a hide a bed but i guess i will have to be more attentive next time. The matching chairs were not comfortable either. My husband and i have back/leg issues so this was not acceptable. The bed was somewhat comfortable as they had added a foam pad and extra mattress pad. The sliding glass door was very hard to open. The louvered window on one side would not open. The side window louvered windows had pull up wooden curtains, one was broken and you could hardly get it up. The one in the kitchen window was not there, you could see holes where one might have been. We were along a main walkway so people could see in at all times. The one curtains in the bedroom was also broken the backing was shredded hanging down. The unit was relatively clean although the glass shelving inside the door was dirty. The toaster oven looked very worn.. The rug has some stains behind chairs to the left as you walk in. Wish was tile.
