Stayed for 2 nights in February. Room was booked via booking.com with a confirmation of an early check-in around 11am by the hotel. We arrived at 11am and the receptionist told me we didn’t have a reservation there. Another female took over and found the reservation but then told us they would text me when the room was ready. When I explained that we had a confirmed early check-in at 11am she was very condescending and said “any check-in before 3pm is an early check-in” and they would text when the room was ready, not giving any indication of when that might be. We left to do some sightseeing and it was about 11:30 when we were messaged that the room was ready. The room itself is fine, clean and had a king-sized bed and very cold refrigerator. There was no service to exchange towels or empty the trash while we were there. The wifi was unreliable or didn’t work at all. Would not return. …
I stayed here while looking for a place to rent and after beginning a new job on the Island. It more than met my needs. I had a quiet room on the second floor with a comfortable bed, kitchenette, and cold AC. Plenty of parking, fresh brewed local coffee every morning, and a staff with loads of local information. I was very comfortable staying here. The beach at Nawiliwili is closest, and this spot is central to Lihue shopping (Anchor, Green, and Kukui Grove) - and there is plenty to eat in walking distance: Ha Coffee, Loves Bakery, the Donut Shop, Grinds, Kalena, Kauai Brewery, Hamura Samir, Rob’s Good Times, the Vietnamese place next to Good Times, and more. There is also a bowling alley good for rainy times. No pool- this is not a resort- this is a motel- but definitely an excellent one.…
Booked this for our last night in Kauai! We stayed in south shore for 10 days. This place was exactly what most say.. clean, friendly and convenient ! The nice young man at the desk the night we checked in was Awsome to deal with! We had the deluxe room which had everything we needed and more. They even had a hot plate to cook in and all the dishes were supplied! Friendly service from beginning to end with free coffee in the morning and a kettle. Don’t expect the Hilton As I see some on here do! The Kauai palms hotel is a older quaint hotel that has wear and tear but hey if they start to make it a 5 star your going to pay more so take your pick people. The beds were comfy. Wifi works best in lobby but totally doable for us in room! They even allow you to leave luggage for the day if you have a later flight and lend you towels and beach stuff if you need! I loved this little gem of a place. Thankyou Kauai palms hotel we will defiantly see you again! “Lola”…
We stayed for 10 nights as a family and were very happy there. The central location is a big plus as well as the freshly brewed Kauai Coffee in the morning. The hotel is not new or luxurious but instead charming with its old fashioned style. And it is probably the most reasonable option on Kauai.
Clean. Hospitable. Affordable. It felt kinda like a hostel. I think it's a pretty straightforward place. Best prices are for direct booking. We caught a taxi here from the airport and walked back to the airport to pick up our rental car the next day. That was silly since the rental car was almost as cheap as the taxi ride. But anyway it was doable. It's not on a bus route from the airport if you're trying to get there via bus it's kinda not helpful. Somewhere people were complaining about roosters there. They are idiots. There's roosters all over the island.
