My husband and I stayed with Alexis & Mike for a week over Christmas. Even without realising it was going to be the last holiday we would take for the foreseeable future, we were absolutely blown away. The inn itself is cozy, well-appointed and set into a hillside with a gorgeous view of an ancient healing valley. We awakened every morning to birds singing, lush rainfall (it was an exceptionally rainy December!) and rainbows. Every day except for Sunday (when you get a picnic basket delivered to your room), Alexis & Mike serve up the best homemade breakfast you will ever have, usually buffet style but occasionally plated. The breakfast alone really put Marjorie’s Inn at the top of our list; it was such a blessing to start each day with a beautiful meal and sometimes sandwiches or snacks for later in the day. You will not find a better breakfast at any restaurant or hotel on the island. The location on the south shore is conveniently located between north and west, so was ideal for us to explore the entire island without having to drive more than an hour or two in either direction. We spent everyday out adventuring (our hosts graciously helped us plan out our days and made excellent recommendations based on our needs). Should you choose to spend a restful day closer to home base, the inn is restful, gorgeously landscaped and has a lovely saltwater pool, hot tub and gazebo for your enjoyment. Our week with Alexis & Mike was one of the best vacations of our lives. We truly felt like part of the family. Kauai one of the most beautiful places on earth. We soaked up every moment of our time on the island. This is a rare spot not to be missed. We can not recommend Marjorie’s Inn highly enough and look forward to the day when we can visit again.

I had high hopes for Marjorie's based on the stellar reviews, but the experience even blew my expectations away. This was the best place we have ever stayed. We wanted to stay somewhere that didn't feel super touristy and gave us a true feel for the island, and this is it! The view is spectacular, the room (we stayed in Trade Winds) was spotless and charming, and the location was very convenient yet far enough away to feel isolated and unique. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and tucked within the jungle. Great stars at night! We also had two of the best breakfasts of all time here. Alexis and Mike are incredible hosts and were so helpful to answer any questions we had about what to do, and were so fun to talk to. We also appreciated being able to borrow beach towels, beach chairs, bug spray, etc. We would absolutely return and would recommend Marjorie's to anyone!

Alexis and Mike are absolutely fantastic and this bed and breakfast is just wonderful. Great food, amazing views, friendly people and amazing rooms. Alexis and mike took care of us despite the craziness in the world in March 2020. Thanks guys!

This bed and breakfast is off the beaten tourist path but a quick drive to Koloa and Poipu. We absolutely loved our stay. The home is beautiful with a stunning view of the valley. We stayed in the Trade Winds room and it was comfortable and clean. There is a small fridge, kettle, coffee pot, dishes, and sink in the room for use. Everything else that you need during your vacation is available for use (chairs, ice packs, cooler, etc). Alexis has an eye for detail and quality and really there was nothing missing. The residence is well taken care of. We used the pool and hot tub area a couple of times and had it to ourselves. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and homemade. Alexis is a wonderful cook and accommodates dietary needs. She takes hospitality to a whole new level. This was our second time to Kauai but first time to Marjorie's. If we return to Kauai we will definitely book another stay here.

We loved our time at Marjorie's. It's located in a beautiful valley off the beaten tourist track, which is refreshing. The vibe in the lush and verdant valley is soulful, relaxing, and inspiring; it brought us into "vacation mode" moments after our arrival. It's genuinely hard to describe the beauty of the area (it almost doesn't feel real, thinking back on it now that we're at home). The experience at the b 'n' b is a true homey experience with delicious breakfast and a feeling of being pampered by friendly, warm, and gifted hostess (Alexis), who's easy to talk to but also provides space if/when needed for those zonked out on the view. Alexis is also a wonderful cook and the breakfast table view is incredible! We particularly enjoyed the Sunset View room with its private hot tube and huge lanai. The hot tub with the valley view is a true treat. There's also a large lap pool down at the bottom of the property. And no joke, they have everything you need for the beach available for borrowing. And the location is near to lots of fun places to visit, including Poipu Beach, a very inexpensive golf course, a good breakfast spot, and many others. We can't wait for our next trip back to Marjorie's, and recommend it highly.
