We stayed an unforgettable 5 nights at the Kauai Banyan Inn for our Kauai wedding/honeymoon and wished we could’ve had 2 weeks. Lorna is an amazing host who has thought of everything you could need for a relaxing stay and more. The views from the Ali’i suite are absolutely breathtaking, particularly in the morning at sunrise. It’s spacious and very quiet - you have the top floor to yourself and the way it is arranged - so peaceful! Lorna provides a very nice welcome basket along with eggs, local drinks, yogurts and fresh cut pineapple. It’s a very nice, personable touch. She also has great recommendations for how to enjoy your time on the islands. We can’t wait to have the chance to return and make another visit!!! Thanks for such a memorable stay! I stayed here with my husband for 3 nights in the Ulu room in December 2019. The place was lovely - huge room, with breakfast stuff (fruits, juice, muffins, cake) provided in the fridge. Only met Lorna briefly, but she was very friendly and helpful - recommended a good helicopter tour to do (Mauna Loa). Unfortunately the weather was a bit rainy and breezy so we couldn't really take advantage of the lanai. Lovely views and noise of birds. Great location to stay on Kauai, as it's close enough to drive up to the top of the island and to Waimea Canyon in the other direction. Much prefer to stay in quiet places with beautiful views like this than a resort down on the coast. There are enough restaurants a short drive away (not suitable without rental car!).
We loved our stay in the Ali’i room and how this place is tucked away off the road. The view is breathtaking and the room had everything we needed. It was very clean, plenty of towels, a welcome basket of snacks, coffee, tea, etc. Lorna was so nice and hospitable. We would definitely stay here again if we travel to Kauai in the future.
We recently stayed 3 nights at the Kauai Banyan Inn, Ali'i suite, and loved it! The views from the room are beautiful, and the space was well laid out and private. We really enjoyed the welcome basket with delicious local bakery items and fresh pineapple! Lorna is an amazing host - she really does think of everything and we enjoyed chatting with her and taking in her great recommendations! We also appreciated and made use of all of the extras - beach chairs, snorkel gear, cooler, etc. The drive in - the little roller-coaster road is incredibly lush, and a short 10 min drive to Poipu area. Thank you Lorna! Kim & Pete
We want to start off by rating the Kauai Banyan Inn as an 11/10. We stayed in Kauai for 12 days and have agreed that staying at this bed and beakfast was the highlight of our trip. There are so many things to say about this place and about the service we received. From the cleanliness, quality of the bed, linens and towels, to the private/quiet atmosphere. Plus having access to so many useful things! For example, hiking sticks, snorkel gear, beach chairs, tupperware, ziplock bags, a cooler, travel mugs, washer/dryer and detergent, etc. Lorna made our trip. We appreciated her SO MUCH. She was really on the ball. The information she provided us and her help was pricelss. She went out of her way to accomodate us when our flight was delayed for over 24hrs. Such a life saver. We would go back to this bed and breakfast in a heartbeat and will be recommending this place to all our family and friends. We had the most memorable honeymoon! Mélanie & Stéphane…
