I've been meaning to write this review for a year now, and am finally getting around to it. We stayed here in June of 2015, and it was my first trip to Kauai. I wanted our trip to be perfect, and I must have looked at every single accommodation on the island, but after seeing this one, I knew it... More

The Palmwood is definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone going to Kauai and a place my husband I plan on visiting again! Mychael and Eddi are so welcoming and full of good ideas for local eats and hikes. The bed and breakfast has 3 rooms, all with amazing views and the house is on such a wonderful, secluded property.... More

The Palmwood looks great and offers a stunning experience for those looking for a relaxing stay. We stayed in the West Room which has a private hot-tub, hammock and even an outdoor shower! It really is tranquil and relaxing here and there is even a decent-sized pool to cool down in. The breakfasts were stunning, using local produce and indulgent... More

First trip to Hawaii and absolutely beautiful B&B. We arrived late so no one to greet us but a sign was present. It was a nice touch but criticism below. The room is beautiful and everything stated on line for the description is accurate. There was a note in the room welcoming us also. Guidebook was also there. Breakfast is... More

The Palmwood is our kind of place. No crowds, roosters crowing, comfortable rooms and amazing breakfasts. From here you can launch busy or mellow days to any part of the island. We did beach days, hiking days and sail/snorkel days and were always happy to return to our quiet, private "home". Eddi made to-go breakfasts for us twice and we... More

I stayed for three nights in the Palmwood. There are simply no words to convey how lovely the property is. We stayed in the upper room, which had views that will never be forgotten. Every inch of the home was clearly designed to offer a respite from every-day life. The peace and tranquility of the home are just amazing. The... More

This is a peaceful place. We were able to truly relax and enjoy the beauty and feel of Kauai. The Palmwood is peaceful b&b in the mountains, far away from the impersonal mega hotels in both location and concept. The terrific hosts are kind and helpful. They know food, and are to date with the island's restaurants and chefs. Mychael... More

We had a wonderful time at The Palwood during our 4-night stay in May '16 ! The house is situated on the top of a small hill, with a great 360 degrees view over the mountains. The garden is gorgeous, the suites are small but very cozy, and it is great to have a private hot tub and terrace /... More

If quiet time in a stunning, intimate setting sounds up your alley, then you'll love the Palmwood as much as I did (my husband too). A pool with a view, outdoor cooking area, personal Jacuzzis, hammocks, outdoor showers for two of the rooms, delicious breakfasts- you can't go wrong. Not to mention the rainbows that seem to appear in the... More

The island Kauai is lush, green beyond belief, and absolutely gorgeous. It tempts you to let go of your hectic life, turn off your email, and recharge. The Palmwood is the epitome of this theme, and essentially the only place I would consider staying in Kauai on future visits. The location is not beach front-- and this is the biggest... More
