Kappa Shores was in a great location. You really can't swim at the beach but it isn't far at all from swimmable beaches. Great pool, decent accommodations. We stayed at Honua Kai as well and the condos are much nicer but you definitely pay MORE.
This place is horrible, biggest complaint is NO AIR CONDITIONING. It’s way too hot for that, maybe the locals are accustomed to it but the people staying here definitely are not, and the company obviously knows it’s hot, they leave all the windows open and...More
Paper thin walls, paper thin floors. Like elephants above you. Sorry to have stayed here. The location is good, staff nice, though lots of partiers and horrible with the noise in the room. We could even hear a tv in the next room and it...More

We are happy to hear our staff shared the aloha spirit with you and that our central location met your expectations. We look forward to improving our resort based on your feedback.

This depends on the level of your experience and ability on snorkeling/swimming as well as you have to take in consideration the surf/tide. Also are you travelling with kids? You can snorkel pretty much anywhere in an open water if you want. But if you want places that are calmer, I suggest you go to places like Lydgate Beach. Its about 5-10 minutes drive from us. This beach is a manmade lagoon. It is surrounded with lava rocks. And they have lifeguard on duty all day. When are you coming to visit?
