Danny, Jennifer, and Mary have worked the Welcome Desk at the Beachboy, for as long as we have been visiting Kauai. Ricardo and Loveland, are somewhat new additions to the staff. All of these staff make us feel welcome, and are always pleasant and friendly. Nani, concierge is so helpful, providing restaurant and tour information.

My husband and I visited Kauai Beach resort for the month of February, 2020. We were assigned a room which was located on the northern edge of the property away from the center of the activities. We like to BBQ some dinners and be nearer the ocean. We asked if we could change to a more central location and was told there would be a vacated unit in about a week but we should keep checking the front desk daily which we did. We were moved sooner and was much happier, closer to the BBQ grills and more accessible to the paths along the ocean. We were told the time we were to be moved and a young man came to help with our luggage. KC is 53 years old and it shows in some ways but if anything needs attention/repairs, help is sent immediately. The units are clean and maid service comes every 4 days, changing bed linens on alternate cleaning cleaning days. Most units have sliding glass doors in the bedroom and also on the living room/kitchen areas with a patio and table and 2 chairs. Kitchens are fully equipped and if needed and available, extra supplies are delivered upon request. Pool area is scenic and equipped with lawn chairs, umbrella tables, a bar and grills. Many units are reserved by timeshare owners and occupancy is very high. Unlike other resorts, KC does not charge a daily “resort” tax. Suggestion: book a good time in advance.

Stayed here because I had Wyndham points. Seemed like a nice place based on the website. Experience was well below satisfactory. And it comes down to a tired (think 80s) resort that brings high pressure sales the moment you checkin. Forcing someone to sit down at a timeshare sales desk to get a parking pass is crazy. And then to be made to wait 25 minutes for that desk to finish with prior guest, after traveling ALL DAY, was infuriating. Find any other non-Wyndham and you’ll be much happier.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're extremely disappointed to hear that the resort did not meet your expectations, and that you had a negative experience with our sales staff during your stay. We understand your frustration, as this is not the kind of vacation experience that we want to provide for our guests. Great location. Convenient to the entire island. The grounds are beautiful. The room was a one bedroom apartment that I could have stayed in for a month. The only thing I didn't like was the indigent population walking past our unit constantly. There is a vacant lot behind the Ali'I building that has a tent camp. Contrary to what we were told on check in, the guide for the room was on the table in a leather binder. The restaurant on the property is one of the best on the island.

Other than the fact that RCI always gets you in the very back of the resort, the resort itself was very clean, friendly and central to the island. Just get used to calling the resort independently to beg for an upgraded room repeatedly. They just don't care much for RCI and it shows.
