Look, a lot of the reviewers on here seem to be forgetting something important about Kumu Camp: It's a CAMP. You don't go camping because you expect super hot showers, some pristine kitchen, no bugs, and a perfect mattress. If you stay at a place like Kumu Camp, you are roughing it a bit. That being said, the pay off...

Very poorly run place! Cockroaches, centipedes, tents falling apart plus leaking and super loud ATV's blazing by every day. Only portable bathrooms and cold showers... Do yourself a favor and stay at the hostile in Kapaa.

We pay for 3 nights but we spend only 1. It was a very very bad experience. the tentalow was durty. The web site say that there is a shower but it don't run. There is no electricity in the camp site and it's not write on the website. The common kitchen is old, durty and very small. It's an...

Ok so, we were there like 2 weeks ago, and it was sadly the biggest deception of our 2 weeks backpacking in Hawaii. The week before, we were in another "glamping" place with tentalows on Mauai and it was absolutly wonderful. To make this simple, the Kumu camp is run by hawaiian locals and the front beach is probably cleaner...

Worst experience ever. Service was little to none. Tentalow was filthy, and not maintained at all. Honestly felt scared sleeping here, and I would not recommend it for tourist and even locals. Thought I was going to experience an authentic Hawaiian staycation. But was tragically let down. Locals should be furious that this type of hospitality is provided there. Better...

This is a campground on the beach that provided a canvas bungalow and a bed. Perfect for us as we are campers and wanted nothing more. Beautiful beaches and we kayaked up the river ajacent to the property. Highly recommended and very affordable.

We arrived at this place not expecting it to be anything fantastic and were prepared to rough it a little bit. However, when we arrived we found no gas for the hot water, out of order signs on the toilets and unlockable doors on the tentalows. 'Glamping' this was not. For these reasons we decided to leave and get accommodation...

I had made reservations online for Kumu Camp and had received a confirmation email. I phoned the day of my arrival to verify the reservation and communicate a late check in as our flight did not arrive until after 8 pm. We were assured that someone would be there to check us in and that if "no one was there...
