We came in after dark and the location of the GPS is able to locate and the reception of this remote place of course is poor. Although we able to get to the office by our GPS, but getting to the Volcano Hale was a challenge in the dark. The Map provided from the office was a poor drawing map... More

Accommodation was very clean and tidy, and a short distance from the Volcano National Park entrance. Kitchen facilities were pretty good. Other guests were friendly and quiet at night. Reasonably priced. Would stay again.

Good value queen room with nice furnishings and a welcoming communal area close by to the Volcano National Park and shops. Only stayed one night but it was quiet and comfortable with free parking and wifi. Would stay there again!

Not a great deal of options in the area; the biggest advantage here being proximity to the National Park. The property itself is reasonable. Shared bathrooms...There was only one other couple on our floor when we were there but agree that it would be an issue if at full capacity. If cooking on holiday is your thing there is a... More

A large, well appointed share house in the rain forest, 2mins from Volcano National Park and close to shops and cafes. We stayed in a very cute attic style double room on the top floor with a shared bathroom. There was only one other room on this floor so the shared facilities was not a problem. Large kitchen and dining... More

This is a shared house but you book your own/private bedroom. There are 3 bathrooms so there was never a time when we had to wait for one. The kitchen is basic and functional. You share the refrigerator but it is large enough for several guests to share. Our room was clean and when we opened the windows, we could... More

My family stayed at this place for two nights and we had a lot of fun! Great location, just one mile from the national park entrance and there are several nice restaurant to dine in. The price is unbeaten. The room was clean and cozy. The house was built in 1912, so it is full of story. Unlike staying in... More

Benefits: 1) It is less than a 5 min drive to the national park. 2) Bed is comfortable. 3)They give you a map when you check in to the closest restaurants and general store. 4) You can use the group kitchen. Disadvantages: 1) You have to share 3 bathrooms for 18 people when at full capacity. When you are in... More

We were a group of 4 (1 couple and 2 singles) - note that the beds are queen only, and can't be changed to seperate singles. Rooms 306 and 307 on the main floor were excellent. Beds very comfortable, but rather high if you are short. The only niggle is that although there are 3 bathrooms in the building, there... More
