Very nice B&B five minutes from Hawaii Volcano NP. We stayed two nights at Tutu's Place, one of the cottages, with plenty of space for the five of us. Breakfast was excellent (one minute drive from Tutu's Place to the restaurant). We loved to stay at Kilauea Lodge and can highly recommend it.

Our room was very nice and we loved the gas fireplace. It was a bit small, once we had our luggage in. We used the hot tub in the common area and didn't run into any other guests, making it feel like it was our own. Breakfast was generous and good! We also appreciated the drinking water dispenser in the... More

Thank You and Aloha!!! I appreciate your feedback. We have tried to solve the space for luggage....but short of doing a complete change of walls can't figure out how to do that. When we started out, travelers came with smaller suitcases. Today we see the huge suitcases...even our kids bring them. Got any ideas? Would love to hear them. Mahalo... More

+We only had 24 hours on the big island so it was a bit of a hectic ride; the lava flow into the sea (the lava boat tour is awesome, although a rough ride) changed our plans so when we arrived at the Hilo airport we called the hotel (via the very helpful airport island information people) and let them... Friendly, comfort, and reasonable best describes this lodge. When we booked i was delighted to find out that a free breakfast was included in with our stay, what a deal. The lodge is located close enough to Volcano, after dinner we were able to head out to the observation deck to view the crater as the evening set in. The... More

Don't let the flower lined driveway and artsy silk mobiles fool you. This is a place for a hearty meal that is more fill-the-tummy than fill-the-taste-buds. Here you will be served antelope, a bold mushroom soup, duck breast medallions in a zingy apricot sauce, escargot that reminds one of Thanksgiving meals and a baked coconut encrusted baked brie with all... One of our best meals in Hawaii. Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. All our dishes were very tasty, a great menu. Would highly recommend to anyone. Did not stay here so cannot comment on the rooms.

This lodge is ideAlly placed for the volcano national park. 5 mins away. It's set in the rain forest and if you like the noise of frogs but also the tranquility of the forest you will love it. Each room has good beds and bathroom and a fridge and microwave. There is no air con though so it's a bit... More

Aloha. We keep getting mixed up with other properties here in Volcano. You may have been writing about Chalet Kilauea? Kilauea Lodge has a full restaurant on the premises. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Not all rooms have fridges and microwaves. The Lodge is on the main Volcano Village road and the buildings are painted... More

This is a great place to stay when you are going to see the volcano. This is an old YMCA lodge that has been re-done and is so homey and wonderful! They have many little details that are included to make your stay even nicer; for example a foot roller/massager for after a long day hiking, robes, umbrellas, the hot... More

Kilauea Lodge is a classic setting in the village of Volcano with a single comfortable dining room and a lovely warm and inviting atmosphere. We ordered the brie appetizer, which is crusted in coconut and then lightly fried, served with a papaya salsa. It was delicious. I ordered the steak. It was cooked very well, with a sautéed mushroom sauce,... More
