Unless something has changed, we slept in our clothes as the room was so dingy and damp . Mold in the bathroom - bread was our breakfast and a nasty jar of used jelly was in the refrigerator.Check out the B&B's near this lodge they were beautiful and we felt. Junk was all over the side yard on our visit....

Wonderful hosts. Great service. Perfect location just outside the Ntl Park. Situated in a rain forest, very kids-friendly. Spacious rooms, delicious breakfast, wifi, opportunity to go into a lava tunnel on the properties. Thank you Dan & Shannon for a great time!

would recommend as friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make our stay pleasant and trouble-free. Room is for the basic, clean, safe seeking traveler. Close location to National Park. Our family of 4 did not trip over one another.

My wife and I spent a long day at Volcanes NP and didn't want to drive very far in the dark and rain. We found a room at the nearby Aloha Crater Lodge. It seemed a little tricky to find on the narrow street off Highway 11 in the rain. We had received a confirmation email with good instructions to...

My husband, 8 year old son and I stayed one night here when we were visiting the Volcanoes National Park. We spent a week on the resort side of the Big Island (Kona and the Kohala Coast) and we were looking for something completely different for an overnight stay. This place was PERFECT for what we wanted. The owners, Dan...

Had fresh muffins waiting for me on my arrival, and the hosts were there to greet and orient me to the area. Great location to explore the west/southwest section of the island. Lush jungle grounds, extremely clean. Very quiet also, and yup! they have a lava tube, so please have them take you through that!

We felt like we were staying in a tree house. Our rooms were well kept and clean. It was rustic, but very comfortable and homey. I would go back again and I would recommend this place to our friends. We enjoyed the breakfast foods and felt very welcome.

This property is right in volcano village and within five minutes of the national park. Dan and Shannon were wonderful hosts and the room was clean and beautiful. The lava tube tour was amazing. It was the highlight of our trip to volcano. I would recommend this place to anyone staying on the big island. It was wonderful.

I booked this place almost completely on the fact they had a lava tube on the property. This was my 5th visit to volcano and I have to say the 2 bedroom upstairs was probably the worst place I've booked. The hosts were very nice, the apt smelled and didn't have screens. If you love the idea of caving don't...

I reserved a one bed room with two beds to accommodate four adults. Upon arrival, our hostess Shanon upgraded our reservation to a two bed room lodge for free. It is a very quiet surrounding and comfortable setting. Shanon is very friendly, candid and ready to help. The free breakfast has several choices. We were also treated with a private...
