We felt this was one of the best BnB's we have ever visited. The cottage was very pretty, spacious and very comfortable. Very close to the national park too. It is the type of bnb that provides you with all the breakfast items and then you choose and make breakfast on your own. This was great--so much choice and great daily baked goods. Great experience. We would highly recommend the Cottage.

What a fabulous cottage. Quirky and quaint. Lives up to its name - tea being it’s theme. Bill and Antionette have worked hard to provide an extremely homely and comfortable place. Bill brings fresh cakes every day (you’ll look forward to coming back from your treks) and the fridge is well stocked. Close to Volcano national park, means you can get the full experience, without miles if travelling. We wished we could have stayed longer, and we would 100% recommend this vacation rental on Big Island Hawaii.

Without exaggeration, the best BNB that I have stayed in. The cottage itself was incredible. BEAUTIFUL. Romantic and Cozy. The features you normally don’t find- Gas fireplace heater, towel warmers, stain glass, claw foot tub and large shower. The artwork and decorations throughout were unique and paid tribute to this area. The kitchen was awesome- loved the orange fridge. And so many unexpected luxuries throughout- like the fresh orchids in a wall vase in the bathroom. If it should rain, still things to do if you don’t want to leave the house- board games, craft supplies and an assortment of books and magazines. Great WIFI, TV connected to several streaming services. Did I mention that in the kitchen was fresh sweet local fruit and granola? Milk, juice, eggs, sausage, yogurt, papaya in the refrigerator? Fresh local bakery items(delicious!) well over a dozen types of tea, many coffee choices. Well stocked kitchen (but who wants to cook with everything that is here) Outside there are multiple porches to relax on and enjoy the outdoors. Several outside seating areas with your own private 2 acre plus(?) tropical forest. Bill and Antoinette provide printed information on what to see and do, and Bill even stopped by to provide us additional information when I requested. Impressive local knowledge. If unprepared, the cottage has umbrellas, flashlight and binoculars better to see the caldera at night. (This home had everything!) Located minutes from Volcano national park. After a full day there, loved coming home, relaxing and falling asleep in the comfortable beds. Only downside- I didn’t stay long enough. Second half of my stay on Hawaii was on the Kona side in a resort, which PALED in comparison to the paradise I left ☹ I haven’t covered half of what this cottage offered, and hope to return many times. THANK YOU BILL AND ANTOINETTE!!! Pat and Temo

11 years ago, my children and stayed at Teapot for three nights. We loved it and have talked it about it for many years. We so wished that my husband/their dad was with us. I promised I would bring him there someday. This summer, we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary on the Big Island including 2 nights at Teapot. It is as magical as it was 11 years ago. Bill and Antoinette are the consummate hosts - attention to detail, a wealth of information, and just the right amount of contact. The Cottage is comfortable, well stocked, lush…a paradise. There is quite literally nothing that I can offer but praise. This trip, a painting on the wall (and some help from Bill) even connected us a special gift for our daughter’s upcoming birthday. We hope it won’t take another decade to return, but if it does, we know it will be well worth the wait.

The Volcano Teapot Cottage is a perfect cottage to enjoy a relaxing stay in the volcano area. Bill and Antionette are so generous with sharing their precious cottage with all the details and amenities anyone could ask for in a B and B. We had so much fun tasting all of the different teas, walking their beautiful property and the country roads surrounding the cottage. Every morning they brought fresh pastries. The refrigerator was stocked with yogurts, fruits, eggs, sausages and more. Bottled water, juice and milk are also provided. The best B and B host and hostess ever! Mahalo Bill and Antionette!

Stop Searching and book this cottage if you plan to stay on Hilo side of the bid island. Perfect combination of private home with the amenities of a BandB, but with no other guests! The level of details of creature comforts is unmatched in vacation rentals, the cottage is perfect for a couple or two. Location to Volcano Nation Park is a five minute drive. Do stay here, it will be a highlight of your Hawaii trip

The moment we walked in to the Teapot Cottage, I knew I would never want to leave. It is beautiful, yet homey. The combination of older architecture (felt kind of arts-and crafts style) and interesting, colorful contemporary Hawaiian art is unique. There is nothing for your comfort or convenience that Bill has not thought of. The grounds are also lovely, and the cottage is quiet and private although just a few minutes from the Park. Fresh, different, and delectable baked goods each morning, well-stocked fridge, endless varieties of teas, etc, etc — I could go on and on, but won’t repeat others’ accolades. I just feel sad for those visiting the Park who don’t get to stay at Volcano Teapot Cottage!

To tell the truth, I couldn't believe that there any reviews less than 5 stars! The Teapot Cottage exceeded all my expectations, and then some. The cottage itself, the grounds, and the attention to every detail went above and beyond. I couldn't help but post pictures of each room, the outside, and the beautiful grounds on Facebook and encourage any of my friends that visit the big island to make sure they plan a stay here. Bill was quite informative about things to do, not only in the area but elsewhere as well. Though I never did meet Antoinette, I'm sure that the attention to detail was her doing. Yes, fresh fruit, delicious baked goods, and a breakfast stocked fridge were provided, but robes, slippers, and personal supplies were also furnished as needed. It did get cold at night, but the gas fueled fireplace, space heaters, and heated mattress pad kept everything cozy. The cottage is minutes from Volcano National Park and has many good dining options nearby. The Teapot Cottage is so awesome that you'll want to just stay there, but there is so much to see in the area that you'll have to get out and explore. Our next trip to the Big Island will definitely include a stay here, even if we have to plan our trip around their availability.

I highly recommend Volcano Teapot Cottage! The location is lovely and the house couldn't be more charming or wonderful. We had the most relaxing weekend! We will absolutely be staying here again and would recommend to anyone else going to the east side of the Big Island to do the same.

We spent three nights at the cottage in early February 2019. It was perfect. Just like a modern 5* hotel room, plus lounge, spare bedroom, kitchen, garden and hot tub. We wished we could have stayed longer.
