This is a perfect Historic “English” Cottage, with oh so many modern amenities. It is tastefully decorated and furnished with loving care by the hosts/ owners Bill and Antionette. They provide everything you need for a healthy breakfast and midafternoon teatime. Fresh pastries and breads, organic fresh fruit, eggs, breakfast sausages, yogurt, and the like. Every day is a new tasty surprise! They also provide many choices of tea and local grown coffees.
The home is comfortable and surrounded by a beautiful peacefully secluded property.
It is located just a short drive from Volcano National Park, and also close to Black Sand and Green Sand Beaches. Bill is a great resource to many of the best attractions and restaurants in the area!!
Don’t miss out on this”couples” property!
We have stayed in many historic Inns, Boutique Hotels, B and B’s and Guesthouses in USA and Europe and we found Teapot Cottage to be the best!

If you are visiting the Volcano National Park, the Volcano Teapot Cottage is a perfect place to stay. It is so close to the park making it easy to get into the park early before the crowds get there. After spending a day hiking, the cottage was a refreshing retreat with cozy fire, clawfoot tub, tasty treats, and very comfortable beds. The grounds are magical. I loved waking up everyday to the songs of the Apapane right in the backyard. Be sure to get up early to hike the Kilauea Iki trail. It is so beautiful on the way down to the crater early in the morning.

This was our second stay at the Volcano Teapot Cottage and though it had been four years since we had last visited I couldn’t be any more impressed with our stay. Bill and Antoinette are the perfect hosts, from providing an impeccable atmosphere, to fresh fruit, baked goods, and breakfast goodies, they excel! The grounds give you the feeling that you’re in the middle of your own personal rain forest. I really can’t say enough about our stays at the cottage other than I can’t wait for our next visit!

We felt this was one of the best BnB's we have ever visited. The cottage was very pretty, spacious and very comfortable. Very close to the national park too. It is the type of bnb that provides you with all the breakfast items and then you choose and make breakfast on your own. This was great--so much choice and great daily baked goods. Great experience. We would highly recommend the Cottage.

What a fabulous cottage. Quirky and quaint. Lives up to its name - tea being it’s theme. Bill and Antionette have worked hard to provide an extremely homely and comfortable place. Bill brings fresh cakes every day (you’ll look forward to coming back from your treks) and the fridge is well stocked. Close to Volcano national park, means you can get the full experience, without miles if travelling. We wished we could have stayed longer, and we would 100% recommend this vacation rental on Big Island Hawaii.

11 years ago, my children and stayed at Teapot for three nights. We loved it and have talked it about it for many years. We so wished that my husband/their dad was with us. I promised I would bring him there someday. This summer, we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary on the Big Island including 2 nights at Teapot. It is as magical as it was 11 years ago. Bill and Antoinette are the consummate hosts - attention to detail, a wealth of information, and just the right amount of contact. The Cottage is comfortable, well stocked, lush…a paradise. There is quite literally nothing that I can offer but praise. This trip, a painting on the wall (and some help from Bill) even connected us a special gift for our daughter’s upcoming birthday.

We hope it won’t take another decade to return, but if it does, we know it will be well worth the wait.

The Volcano Teapot Cottage is a perfect cottage to enjoy a relaxing stay in the volcano area. Bill and Antionette are so generous with sharing their precious cottage with all the details and amenities anyone could ask for in a B and B.
We had so much fun tasting all of the different teas, walking their beautiful property and the country roads surrounding the cottage. Every morning they brought fresh pastries. The refrigerator was stocked with yogurts, fruits, eggs, sausages and more. Bottled water, juice and milk are also provided. The best B and B host and hostess ever! Mahalo Bill and Antionette!

To tell the truth, I couldn't believe that there any reviews less than 5 stars! The Teapot Cottage exceeded all my expectations, and then some. The cottage itself, the grounds, and the attention to every detail went above and beyond. I couldn't help but post pictures of each room, the outside, and the beautiful grounds on Facebook and encourage any of my friends that visit the big island to make sure they plan a stay here. Bill was quite informative about things to do, not only in the area but elsewhere as well. Though I never did meet Antoinette, I'm sure that the attention to detail was her doing. Yes, fresh fruit, delicious baked goods, and a breakfast stocked fridge were provided, but robes, slippers, and personal supplies were also furnished as needed. It did get cold at night, but the gas fueled fireplace, space heaters, and heated mattress pad kept everything cozy. The cottage is minutes from Volcano National Park and has many good dining options nearby. The Teapot Cottage is so awesome that you'll want to just stay there, but there is so much to see in the area that you'll have to get out and explore. Our next trip to the Big Island will definitely include a stay here, even if we have to plan our trip around their availability.

The moment we walked in to the Teapot Cottage, I knew I would never want to leave. It is beautiful, yet homey. The combination of older architecture (felt kind of arts-and crafts style) and interesting, colorful contemporary Hawaiian art is unique. There is nothing for your comfort or convenience that Bill has not thought of. The grounds are also lovely, and the cottage is quiet and private although just a few minutes from the Park. Fresh, different, and delectable baked goods each morning, well-stocked fridge, endless varieties of teas, etc, etc — I could go on and on, but won’t repeat others’ accolades. I just feel sad for those visiting the Park who don’t get to stay at Volcano Teapot Cottage!

Stop Searching and book this cottage if you plan to stay on Hilo side of the bid island. Perfect combination of private home with the amenities of a BandB, but with no other guests! The level of details of creature comforts is unmatched in vacation rentals, the cottage is perfect for a couple or two. Location to Volcano Nation Park is a five minute drive. Do stay here, it will be a highlight of your Hawaii trip

I've stayed the cottage for 3 nights two days ago before came to Kona. The cottage has screens. You can open the windows of course, the screens keeps you from mosquitos. Actually I didn't see any mosquitos. I did not need A/C either. It is cool enough daytime and fireplace makes you warm at night time which is very easy to work.
