The Aloha Junction B&B is located in Volcano Village just behind the Post Office noted for proximity to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park 1 mile away and restaurants in town. Guests also enjoy the 1930's old plantation structure providing five spaciousness rooms and electric blankets for those chilly nights in the rainforest. In addition free parking and well attended-to well-behaved children are welcome.
Each room has it's own coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave but a "must have" is a complimentary breakfast including fresh-ground coffee, Papaya-banana boats along with sausages and toast or yogurt and boiled eggs.
After spending time in this "Drive-in" style National Park, most people want to include to hike. The Park Headquarters have maps to include range of difficulty ~ but evidence shows even the strongest skeptics that Kilauea is still a very active volcano.
Wonderful place to stay while visiting Volcano National Park. Robert is a good host that serves a tasty breakfast and keeps the BB very clean and beautiful. The internet worked fined and were able to stream movies. Recommend going out at night to see the stars if you live in a city. You will be pleasantly surprised. Also scope out or ask Robert for dinner places since most close early.
Fantastic location for visiting Volcano Park. Warm, friendly host, Robert, who cooked and served breakfast in the historical plantation house. We stayed in the Peacock Room, which was cozy and comfortable. You can can watch the chickens outside your window. The house is right in the middle of lush and beautiful surroundings. Make sure to bring raincoat and flashlights to see the lava flow at night.
Amazing property. Rooms are great with excellent amenities, beds extremely comfortable. Most rooms have a private entry with a porch. Robert is amazing with an unbelievable breakfast each morning. Very clean property. Thank you Robert
We loved our stay at the Aloha Junction Bed and Breakfast! The location was perfect for our visit to Volcano National Park. We stayed for 2 nights in the Pele Suite which was a perfect fit for our family of 5 (two teens and a 9 year old.) We all enjoyed the breakfast (especially the sausages and fresh papaya) and the porch was a lovely place to sit and unwind after a busy day of hiking. The beds were super comfy and we really appreciated having 2 bathrooms with lovely showers. The house and grounds are beautiful and have a wonderful Hawaiian vibe. We highly recommend and would love to return someday!
We loved staying at Aloha Junction! The rooms were bigger than I expected, it felt very private even though it’s a B and B, our room (the Alpine Room) had a fridge, microwave, bathroom and balcony! The bed was huge and super warm, lots of extra blankets, and the fold out couch made it perfect for a family of 3. The site is beautiful, there are chickens and nene geese, and the owners are very nice and helpful! The breakfast is delicious, and the location is excellent. I would highly recommend staying at Aloha Junction, it made our trip to Volcano perfect!!!
Home cooked breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Robert even prepared breakfast for us early on the day of departure as we had to leave the property prior to 8 AM! Location is just minutes away from Volcanoes National Park making it easy to explore during the day, get a bit to eat for dinner and then go back to the park for night time viewing of the lava. Room was larger than expected and came appointed with everything you might need including a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee/tea as well as a few extras like mouthwash. Additionally in the kitchen area there were snacks like popcorn available for late night munching.
We stayed 1 night while spending time in Volcano National Park and had a great night's rest. The bed was comfy, and the location is perfect for going to the park. My only additional comment was that the shower water was super hot! (Maybe a little too hot for my liking).
This place was just perfect for 2 nights in Volcano. If we’d known it was such a lovely place to stay we would have planned for longer. The rooms were a fabulous size and the bed was big and comfy. It contained everything we needed but beautiful staff on hand to assist with anything we may have needed. The breakfast was way above and beyond our expectations. Well done Aloha Junction Bed and Breakfast
We stayed two nights in the Heritage room. The room was roomy, the bed very comfortable. The property is lovely, well appointed inside surrounded by beautiful gardens and lanais. Robert was a wonderful host, making us a delicious breakfast each morning and sharing a bit of local history. We've stayed in Volcano several times, this was our favorite and we'll return.
The location is excellent. We had the Alpine Room which was very comfortable with all amenities. It is like sleeping on a cloud the beds are so comfortable. There is a great breakfast to look forward to every morning. Healthy chickens roam the garden, not forgetting Gus the goose.
