We stayed 4 days. We're a family of 4. We wanted to spend part of our time on the Big Island, closer to the volcano than Kona. This B&B fit that bill and had a few good reviews. When I called to reserve, Sherry booked our rooms and said she'd be away the week of our visit but that her... More

Hi Rose, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you were disappointed with your stay at Macadamia Meadows. In the midst of new ownership, construction and remodeling, we did our best to provide the service you would expect, and to halt construction work whilst you were in the rooms. We had put a block on all bookings throughout August... More

The location is a great starting point for exploring the southern part of the island, including Volcano. We wish we had stayed longer so we would have had time for some of the longer hikes/drives. Our room (Green Sand) wasn't the most comfortable place to just hang out -- choice between hard chairs or seen-better-days-couch -- but the main house... More

Recommend booking several days as a retreat too take in the piece and quiet of the place and venture out to regional attractions such as Green Sand Beach, what a treat, and Black Beach with its colorful fish and many turtles, and be sure to take in Volcano for a days hiking to experiencing a live volcano and some of... We truly enjoyed our stay in this rare find at the southern tip of the Big Island. Our bed was comfy to the max, our view was enchanting, the breakfasts delicious...and staff was charming and friendly. We would most certainly stay again...as we were given the best time we had in the islands..and will tell friends and family that they... More

We stayed at this bed and breakfast for two nights during our trip to the big island. It was a huge change of pace from Kona, where we'd spend the previous two nights. The location was gorgeous, if very out of the way: the building is situated on a working macadamia nut farm, and several chickens and other animals wander... More

Very beautiful and peaceful location with new owners - very service oriented. We were in a very nice flat with the most beautiful bedroom having the possibility to see the stars from the bed. The living area is tasteful and nice with small kitchen facilities.

It was a pleasure to be your hostess at Macadamia Meadows! I’m thrilled to know that you embraced the tranquil setting and were able to star gaze from the bedroom. It’s very rewarding to know that I’ve been a part your experience with the beauty and Aloha of Hawaii. More

UNDER GREAT NEW OWNERSHIP AS OF SEPTEMBER 2015! OUTSTANDING HOSPITALITY! A GEM! Disregard old reviews - we're so glad we did! Incredible experience and value! Friends of ours had recommended this place as a great location to explore this part of the island. Located just off of Highway 11 in Naalehu, we think this could be the southernmost B&B in... More
